Anyway, call it curiosity or boredom if you want, but has anyone else done this song and dance before? I'm talkin' about the gettin' dragged to other worlds nonsense, but if any of ya'll come from a world with space travel, humor and me and tell me about that, too. I'll even give points out for someone who manages to surprise me with somethin' new.

Oh, there were certainly times when I would have preferred straight answers, but I doubt would have much liked what I heard. It did whisper in your dreams, sometimes, but I could not tell you what it had to say. [Which is as deeply unsettling as it sounds]

[he makes a face and shrugs, like it isn't a big deal] Everyone was stuck on a team and forced to compete to win memories or skills or random shit back. Some games were stupid, some where deadly, others were cutesy nonsense - depended on who was runnin' it.

Story goes, everyone's worlds got destroyed and that's the real reason we were there, but it sounded like a load of bullshit then and it still does.

Ah. Well, that does throw the claim into some doubt. If the castle wasn't the talkative sort, who did tell you your world was destroyed?

It was part of the "welcome to Kyriakos" monologue. When they gave you the rundown about the place, that was part of it.

One wonders how stories like that get started. Certainly Paradisa did not tell us why we were there or what it wanted from us, but nevertheless 'knew' things. Is it merely a form of a game of whisper, where rumors and supposition become accepted fact or is it something far deeper?

Beats the hell outta me. [he's so helpful] By the time I got there, shit was hittin' the fan and people were all distracted with that. Didn't think to ask about the monologue origins, 'specially considering I was more concerned with gettin' my memories back.
