Um, hello? [Just because she has the augment doesn't mean Shay trusts it completely, and she peers curiously at the video. A smile spreads across her face as she realizes it's working.] Ah! Hello! I am Shay, of Balmera. There are so many here from different worlds! I would be most interested to hear of your homes. I know little of worlds beyond my own and this seems a perfect chance to learn!

[She pauses, her smile fading in thought. She is a little lonely.] I heard rumor of Voltron... I would be most pleased to see you again.

[B - Action aboard the SS Blue Fish.]

[The newest passenger of the Blue Fish is happy to be here, too happy with admiring the stars to think about how far away from home she is. She's perched by a window, long legs drawn to her chest as she looks outside to admire the view. Every now and then, a long fingered hand reaches out to try to catch a passing comet or meteor. She's never seen them so close before, never been this close to space, and she's loving the opportunity.]

[Whoa. Whooooaaaaa. People suddenly appearing on the fleet was routine by now, but he wasn't expecting to see Shay of all people. His face breaks out into a grin and he waves into the camera.]

Shay! Hey, it's me! Lance!

[pickingupgoodvibrations]

Lance! [Her craggy face splits into a bright grin, and she waves back.] It is so good to see a familiar face!

[She does pause for a moment though.] Is Hunk with you?

It's really good to see you too! It's been like...Ages.

[Tracking time in space is hard.]

Unfortunately, no...the big guy's not here. Still back home, I'd guess. But I bet now that you're here, he'll show up sooner or later!

[She smiles, clearly pleased and relaxing a bit.] It has been some time!

[At hearing Hunk isn't there, however, her smile fades slightly.] Ah, I see. Still, it is good to know that there is someone here at least that I know.

A lot of us are here, actually! Just about all of the Voltron crew. There's a depressing lack of Hunk and Coran, but...

[He misses his buddy. Badly.]

Like I said, I'm sure they'll end up popping up here sooner or later. Especially Hunk. With his best bud and best girl around, how could he resist?

[Riona had heard the announcement, saw the remnants of the confetti and chocolate pudding. New crewmates, huh. The loss of all but two of her old 'mates still sits with her, but she knows it's not fair to avoid the new ones just because of her losses.

So, putting on her best brave face, she wanders out onto the ship, trying to find either of them so they could meet. Kiter, her mabari pup, trots alongside of her. The ship seems so empty anymore, but that should theoretically make finding the newbies that much easier. And lo and behold, it's not long before Riona comes upon Shay, staring out at the inky expanse of space. Kiter runs up to Shay, barking and happily wagging his tail.]

Hello there.

[Shay watches the stars with a small smile, her short tail twitching slightly as she admires the space around them. She's seen the sky before, but this is nothing like that. It's vast and different, and completely alien to her.

It makes her wonder what's happening on Balmera.

The little strange noise has her turning her head, a surprised 'oh' on her lips as the dog runs towards her. She's never seen a creature quite like this, and draws back slightly, unsure. Pupiless yellow eyes flicker up to the pup's owner.]

Greetings! Your...beast, it is safe?

[Well, that's not the usual reaction Kiter gets. The pup plops down on his haunches, rather confused as to her fear. If he were his proper large size, he'd get it, but he's a puppy! People shower him with affection when he's this small!

Luckily, Riona's a lot more understanding. She nods.]

He is. He just wanted to say hello. Are you frightened of dogs? I can have Kiter stay back.

[Shay relaxes then, reaching out to give the dog a cautious stroke. The texture makes her smile.] He is so soft! I have never seen a creature like him before.

[More pets! She especially likes those velvety ears.]

[Okay... now Keith was confused. He understood bringing in the Paladins, but... Shay? What could the Atroma possibly want with her? Unless there were balmera floating around in this space, and he just hadn't heard of it, yet. She was too gentle for this kind of thing.

Plus, if anything happened to her, he had a feeling Hunk would have a fit and a half.]

Shay. Are you alright?

[Another familiar face! She smiles, pausing only briefly before the Red Paladin's name comes to her.] I am well, many thanks. You are...Keith, are you not?

[tempredmental]

[He nodded, surprised, but glad she remembered his name.]

Yeah. I am.

I'm glad you're alright.

Were you given a ship, yet?

[Hunk has talked of them all, and Shay has done her best to remember names. They're so unusual from Balmeran names, after all.]

I have, I think. Color fell from the sky, and there was a sweet mush, and now I am in a different place.

[The Blue Fish has been hit hard with loss lately, but Sokka makes it a point to check on all his crew, new or otherwise, and sadness on the ones who have left can't sway him from his duties. So, he heads over to Shay with a smile and a raised hand in greeting. ]

Hey. You settling in okay? I'm Sokka, captain for all your captain-y needs.

[pickingupgoodvibrations]

[The way he speaks makes Shay giggle, a bright smile on her face. She's doing well, for now at least, and just seeing space is making her a bit giddy.]

Well met, Captain Sokka. I am Shay. This ship, this place...It is more than I imagined! Are we truly to visit other worlds?

[Good, knowing she's happy is a good start. He likes his crew happy. ]

Nice to meet you, Shay. We sure will! Every month or so, we head off to someplace new. It's always an adventure, it's...pretty cool.

Amazing! [She looks back outside, resting a three-fingered hand on the glass.] All those stars, do they all have their own worlds? How many have you seen? What is it like out there?

[...well. Now this is a face he hasn't been expecting to see again soon. She looks and sounds fine at least - her usual shyness is there, but at least she doesn't seem to be scared. Shiro has to wonder exactly how much of what's going on she understands.]

Hello, Shay. Welcome to the Fleet. The rumor is true, we're here. Although we don't have the lions with us.

[The Black Paladin! While it's good to see him, Shay is a little saddened that it seems everyone but Hunk is here. She hasn't seen him in some time, and there was no chance for him to visit the last time the Paladins were on Balmera.]

Paladin, it is good to see you! [As well as she can see him through a screen, anyway.] Perhaps your lions are not needed here. [It's partly a question, the last word rising in a lilt to indicate her curiosity, and frankly, her hope.]

[Don't worry, Shay, Shiro misses Hunk too. Especially when he has to deal with two Lances! A nod and a gentle tone. He doesn't know her that well, really, but it's still a presence from home.]

It's good to see you too. But you can call me Shiro. [That question though... It's hard to kill her hope like this.] We haven't needed them since we arrived, although I heard they may've been needed in the past. But it's not often that it happens.

[She'd actually sort of...forgotten his name, so she appreciates him saying it, and nods a bit.]

Shiro, then. [Shay pauses a moment to process that, then skips right over it. She'd prefer not to talk about that, honestly.]

I see why you spend so much time in space. I had thought the sky was beautiful, but this is...amazing! Do you ever get used to it?

[It's not often that Pidge is the one extending the greeting to people, but when it's Shay, Hunk's Balmeran giiiiirlfrieeeend, she feels like she owes it to her teammate to do so.]

Hi Shay. Nice to see you again!

[Even the little one is here! Shay smiles fondly.]

Paladin! It is good to see you as well.

[Does that make Pidge smile just the tiniest bit awkwardly? Yes. Yes it does. But that's about par for the course.] It's Pidge.

I'm guessing suddenly being out on a ship in space is pretty crazy for you.

Pidge. I will remember that. [A short nod. She will.

The statement makes her pause a moment and smile, nodding.] It is...strange. Not like anything I know. But beautiful in a way that I could never have dreamed of.
