Who: Billy Kaplan + OTA
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: The Blue Fish
When: Now!
( blue fish )
[...con... fetti? alright, that sure is a thing that just happened. Billy's used to teleporting, but it's never felt quite like this. so weird. everything about this is weird, weird, weird, and coming from him that's saying something.
Reaching around the back of his head, he pats awkwardly at where the augment rests, disturbed, and starts wandering through the halls of the ship. Might as well get acquainted, and maybe make sure he's not just super crazy right now. You never know, where he's from.]
( private; text to kate )
So are my powers busted or are you the only one here?
[Location spell went kinda haywire, whoops.]
( video; fleetwide )
Okay, so, ignoring that this is kind of awful and I hate that I apparently can't teleport myself home...
Any advice for first-timers? Can't say I've watched much reality TV back home. Um, barring that... what's some good places to visit off-ship if you've got like five cents to your name?
It's very, uh. Colourful here.

Besides, the only thing different about Snow is his size. The fact of the matter is that he's pretty normal. For.... No, wait, he's not normal anywhere. But he's a good person, so that should count for something.]
Nice to meet you, Billy.
[At least he thinks it is. He really thought he'd be dead by now, but not burdened by the shit of Pulse is acceptable for now.]
Snow Villiers. Ever been in space?
no subject
[Though, now that he's looking around...]
It was a lot more crowded than this, though.
no subject
[He asked the question, but he honestly didn't expect to get that answer.]
This place seems less cold than the other one, but it's smaller than the airships I've been on.
no subject
[not ringing any bells...]

[Please ignore the old warship graveyard that Sazh took up residence in. It's an anomaly.]
no subject
[might help if they've got a few veterans on board.]
no subject
It wasn't like this. Less organized.

no subject
[He sure wasn't.
He pulls out the communicator weighing a small ton in his jacket pocket.]
SS Blue Fish, Security. That explains why I know where to find the armory.

[uncomfortably so... oh well. space travel is a bit old hat where he's from but deep space travel is pretty outside the norm for your average joe.]
I think I'm... support, or something. Personnel. Whatever that means.
no subject
No clue. But what kind of support does a space ship need? A babysitter?
[He's not that far off, is he?]
no subject
[this whole experience is pretty traumatic. he's already wishing he could hide away for a good therapy session.]
no subject
[Um, yeah, see, l'Cie don't get therapy. They get screwed over. Repeatedly.]
Never had one. Can't say I know what that entails.
no subject
Whoa, for real? They can be pretty useful. I grew up with a psychologist - um, a similar field of study - so I tried to avoid it for a while, but... I dunno, once I tried it, it's hard to go back. They're like... mental health professionals. If you're sick you go to the doctor. If your head's feeling messy you see a therapist.
no subject
I don't get sick. If I'm injured, I usually just heal myself.
[One of the joys of being a l'Cie and having access to magic on Pulse.]
I'm sure that other people had time for therapists. Just not me or my friends.
no subject
In my experience, the people who say that sort of thing are the ones who need it most.
no subject
Right. Maybe that's the case. Wouldn't know, honestly.
Besides, I'm not the kinda person who talks about my feelings that easily.
[Not anymore.]
no subject
[seriously, dude.]
Therapy's like... because it's a professional thing, it's their job to listen and not judge, and most importantly, not tell anybody else. It's like having a diary that actually gives you feedback on how to feel better.
no subject
[Because, ha ha, fal'Cie are twisted that way. Or maybe it was just Bartandelus/Orphan.]
Never had a diary. Had a friend who'd just punch things out with me once upon a time.
no subject
[squishy mage, sorry.]
no subject
Never tried it without a few blows happening.
[Only one exception to that rule though.]
I mean, there was that one time, but it didn't end so well either.
no subject
[just innocently curious, no biggie]
no subject
[No biggie. He obviously lived through it.]
Wouldn't recommend that. Hurt like hell.
no subject
Shockingly, I didn't need that advice... but thanks anyway. You've got robots in your world too?
no subject
Robots are pretty common right? Usually controlled by people with nothing better to do, in my experience.
