[Arrival is just confusing for Cole. He doesn't like being moved without his permission and he doesn't know where this place is either.

He doesn't panic, exactly, but he does start trying to feel out the space, if he can get out and move, or if he's trapped.

The door with his name is mostly ignored, for the simple reason that he's illiterate.]

[Guess who is the happiest ever to see you, Cole? Spoilers it's the Inquisitor you barely know! When she finds him she smiles broadly and goes straight to him, ducking her head a little to see under the wide brim of his hat.]

I was hoping you'd end up here. How are you, Cole?

[Helpfully, Cole ducks his head when she does, hiding himself a bit more behind the hat.]

I'm still not hurt. It's less quiet here, but it's still too quiet.

[He rocks back and forth on his feet, plucking at some loose threads on his hand wraps.]

It's small. But it's not a cell. I don't know where to go or what to do.

Well, how about I show you where the kitchen is? Each time someone new shows up, the people in charge of this operation send something called pudding for us to eat. You might like it if you tried it.

[Cole's nose wrinkles at the mention of food. He's sipped water a few times, but actually eating something doesn't sound appealing to this little spirit yet.]

Blech. I don't eat. Or sleep. Did your Cole do those things?

[He's just... he's just so cute and she's just so fond of him.]

He's given it a few tries, but I don't think he's quite used to it yet. But human bodies need food and rest, Cole, we don't want you getting sick.

[Just in case she's forgotten that. He wears a human shape, but he's not a human.]

[Crowley's got used to the fanfare of a new arrival, and always comes to investigate. You never know if they got someone interesting. He takes one look at Cole and freezes. He pale hair and skin, the drawn in eyes. Shit.

Pollution in of himself isn't that much of a problem, but where there is one, the other three usually follow and they are a lot less fun to handle. He isn't ready for this crap to start up again.

It takes another moment to realise that...no. This kid isn't human, but he isn't a Horseperson, either. Curious. Crowley steps a little closer, squinting behind his shades. ]

Well. This is new.

[Cole feels the hostility, maybe not the right word, wariness? Whatever it is directed at him, he can feel it and it makes him take a step back and then teleport back another step in a curl of black green smoke.]

Yes. It is. Unwinding, uncurling, unspooling worry that coils, catches, curious and cautious. You don't feel like most people. You almost feel like a mage, but you're not.

[Crowley raises an eyebrow, before folding his arms, leaning on the wall of the ship. He never likes it when people get in his head. Hell did it all the time, and he always found it deeply unsettling.]

No, I'm a demon. What about you? You're not human.

[Cole looks panicked and teleports across the room, reaching behind him for weapons he doesn't have.]

No, no no no, not demons, you should be in the Fade, not here, here isn't good for you!

[He reaches out again, but for all that Crowley says he's a demon, he doesn't feel like one. There's no overwhelming emotion, Cole can't see what he is.]

You're... are you a demon like I was? Drawn too tight, taut, tangled, tripping over the world.

[Luckily Crowley is used to people freaking out about the demon news. ]

I'm not the kind who actually goes about slaughtering people before you-

I think I was a demon. Solas says the only difference between a spirit and a demon is people's opinion.

I wasn't a spirit. But I was a spirit. I killed people, but I thought I had to to help them. I can't see who you are, and if you were a demon, I would be able to.

[ well, if this isn't a straight-up nightmare. part of him wonders if this is some weird initiation ritual, or if he's been kidnapped by... aliens or something, but who would bother?

okay, yes, he's definitely alarmed, but he's equal parts completely baffled. also the bag over his head is really stuffy and it's making breathing weirdly inconvenient. ]

Okay, ha ha, funny joke, how about you do me a favor and untie me now, please?

[ omg he's living on a spaceship and this is the weirdest thing that's happened to him this month. ]

[Crowley has set up his 'interrogation area' by his control pannel. It took a little reality bending, but he's happy with the result. Tadashi is tied to a chair, bag on his head, a single lightbulb swinging from thin air on the otherwise darkened area of the ship.

He saw it on TV once, He's pretty sure the lightbulb is important. He takes a considerate moment, and then imputs a few commands onto his console cabinet. It begins to play a certain song. Just right.]

[He needs Allen here first. Just gonna send him a message. Tadashi is here, let's chat! :) ]

oh my god no.

he begins attempting to sort of. just. shake the bag off of his head, or to just drag his arms out of the bindings, because holy shit this suddenly got a thousand times more frightening. ]

Are you insane? Look, dude, this stopped being funny a long time ago.

[ ha... ha.... that's actual panic creeping into his voice. ahhh he wants to threaten... this dude... in case he's, you know, gone after hiro or something, but he doesn't want to give him any ideas, In Case of Actual Psychopath. ]

[BUT Allen is still oblivious to what a nutjob his uncle could be- so when he gets the message he just answers with a simple "Already? Well, alright. I'm on my way."]

[And he's heading on his way! But for now, Tadashi has a bit more time to deal with this...concerned relative.]

[Crowley doesn't pay attention to the panic. It might be a trick after all. ]

Do I sound like I'm laughing? Anyway, we just have to wait for my associate. Sit back, relax, enjoy the music.

[ okay yeah he's gonna strain against the rope here again, trying to figure out if there's any sort of weakness in the knots at all. probably not, but you can't blame a boy for trying. ]

[ his voice drops and bless him, he's really trying not to show how seriously he's actually starting to freak out... ]

Did you take anyone else? Or is it just me?

[ yeah that sounded sufficiently demanding at least. he hopes. look he just wants to make sure hiro and honey are okay. :( ]

[oh hi guys! don't mind her, she just... walked on board like she belonged here and started rummaging through the stuff in Tek's personnel office. she looks like she knows what she's doing so she's probably supposed to be there and absolutely no one should question it! right? right.]

[Nah, wrong. Sure, maybe she's part of the reason that Tek's not around to defend his stuff, but that doesn't mean she's going to just let someone, even Krista, pillage it.

So she'll just lean up on the door frame and frown at the girl.]

Did you lose something in all Tek's things?

[ha, ha, well. the reason she can walk in with so much confidence is because she's pretty sure no one on this ship has any right to stop her. she turns to look at Jove, not seeming bothered, and holds up a particularly sparkly necklace of his.]

No, I was just getting this for him.

[That changes her tune just about immediately and Jove steps into the room a little more, closing the door behind her.]

You've seen him, then? Where is he?

[she quietly folds up the impressive piece of jewelry and slips it into her pocket. she's normally kind of awkward, and having the door closed should have made her nervous--but she seems very on-point today.]

Well, I don't know if I should tell you. Are you going to go finish the job?
