Who: Lavellan
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: On the Red Fish
When: Now!
[ When the feed comes on, the woman featured mostly looks... Awkward, and unsure of herself. It takes her a moment to realise her pressing buttons worked, and then she brightens, leaning forward so that her face is in the camera a little more. She's trying, but modern technology is still a bit of a leap for her, despite knowing how to use it thanks to her augment. It's foreign, but she's doing her best. ]
Andaran atish’an. My name is Leilani of Clan Lavellan - I was told there were other elves here, from Thedas. I was hoping to meet them, if I could? It's not necessary, of course, but...
[ But she does rather want to be with her people right now, or some of them, if she can. She doesn't feel particularly comfortable and she thinks she has reason enough to feel on edge, all things considered.
Hopefully, no one will notice her lack of vallaslin. She's not in the mood. She seems to steel herself, at least, and something settles as she sits up. ]
I'd be glad to speak to anyone else, as well, especially if I can be given more information about this place. I would appreciate it. Ma serannas.

We Inquisitors have to stick together, especially elven Inquisitors.

What of your life, then? Was it so different from mine?

What would you like to know?

Sera basically saved me, after all of this went down. [This meaning losing his hand, which he gestures to vaguely.] I know she can be a bit much, but I promise under her layers of defenses she's rather sweet, caring, and in need of someone to accept her. She's one of the few who routinely has people check in on Wycome and make sure the Clan is all right without me first asking. She gave me something to do too, once I was settled in Kirkwall.
Which, also lets you know that Varric and I got along. I took up his offer to have a home in Kirkwall and live there now. He's also one of the ones who checks in on the Clan, though he does it by showering them with political and trade power with the other city-states.
Hmm...I enjoyed Bull's presence quite a lot. [A slight pause.] A lot.
[He's just going to leave that at that.]
Oh! And Dorian and I were very close. [He pats the tunic he's wearing to show the outline of the sending crystal he has tucked away.]
He's here, by the way. Or at least some version of him is. Were you able to speak with him?

[ Josie would be proud of her, but... Still, it makes her think.
She cannot imagine being that close to Sera. The other woman had been so vicious when it came to elven heritage that it had turned Leilani away from her from the beginning, and it had seemed as though they had never been able to overcome that hurdle. They had been friendly, true, but they had never been as close as this man and Sera seemed to be. It just doesn't make sense in her mind, she thinks.
The rest of it is familiar, at least, though she was never that close with Iron Bull. Dorian and Bull had been her dearest friends, though, and with Cole... She couldn't have asked for much more. ]
Dorian and I were incredibly close. He was one of the best friends I've ever had in my entire life, and I'm incredibly lucky that he was at my side. He and Bull were very important to me, though perhaps not in the same way they were to you.
[ She had Solas, after all; she had never thought of doing anything with Bull beyond idle fancies. ]
Varric and I were close friends, too, and Cole... [ God, what does she even say about Cole? ] Cole was special to me. I... I'm not sure I can explain it.
[ But, ah, that's the awkward question. ]
Yes, we've spoken, but he doesn't recognise me.
no subject
[Except it's not even close to the important part.]
Cole was dear too. I think it's impossible to meet a being so dedicated to aiding others and not come out of it attached to him.
He... He eventually had a choice to make, between embracing his spirit nature or the being more human being he had become. Which did you guide him towards?
no subject
[ Which is ludicrous for many reasons, namely because Dorian had no interest in her and she was clearly interested in someone else. ]
I loved him as though he was my family. I spent more time with him than I probably should have, hiding away in his attack.
[ But, oh, she wonders... Softening, she smiles. ]
He became more of a spirit with me.
no subject
I suppose neither choice is a bad one, though. He was happy with the choice. Was it the same?
no subject
[ But their perspectives were different, she thinks. ]
He was happy with me. He was helping people with all his heart.
no subject
[For a moment he focuses on where they are going so he can think of the next thing he wants to ask.]
Oh. Who sits on the throne of Orlais? And who is Divine?
no subject
no subject
What about the Empress?
no subject
[ But at least they're agreeing on some things, and she appreciates that. ]
Empress Celine. We arrested Florianne.
no subject
I'm not sure how long that will last, but at least it ended the war.
And the looks on their faces were priceless.
no subject
[ She scoffs, her arms crossing, but her face soon relaxes into something sly because - ]
... Did you take Solas?
no subject
I brought him, Dorian, and Bull. Dorian gave me an adorable mental image of his mother dragging him away by the ear. Bull ate all of the snacks.

[ The Inquisitor's elven serving man. It had been a little amusing when it had happened, if only because their entire party knew how close they were, but in hindsight there's a touch of irony about it too. ]
no subject
[Then, after a moment, he laughs. The sound is soft, a private chuckle more than anything.]
Do you ever take a moment to marvel at your life? We had The Dread Wolf called our elven servant...
no subject
[ She shakes her head, crossing his arms. I mean, he said he did, but... She doesn't disbelieve him. ]
Our people would be horrified.
no subject
[Then, after a moment,] Perhaps your love and my friendship can save him, though. Then imagine how much history could be recovered. How many other truths could we learn?
no subject
[ It's a daunting thought. Is her love enough to bring Solas back fro the brink? Is it enough to change his mind, to sate the urge to transform the world? ]
I don't want to give up on him. I can't do that.
no subject
Do you mind if I ask, what were you planning to do about the Exalted Council? Did you have an idea of the future of the Inquisition?

[He seems the entrance to the park up ahead and points it out.]
I think that's where we are going? It would be nice to see something green.
