[Kitty is still in her bedroom where she's been for the past two months when the video opens.]

If the timestamps I'm seeing are right then I'm surprised I don't have a long beard by now. That's a Rip Van Winkle joke for any of the non-earthlings who think maybe I can grow a beard.

So, I'm Kitty Pryde for anyone who just showed up. Just so you know I still have seniority over you. I could take your lunch money any time I want. And hi. Any new mutants? They are upping the carnage - but I am not entirely certain why. What is the end goal? To prove that they can? Are they in trouble? It certainly seemed like it the last time we saw any of the hosts.

Maybe. But if we can believe the set up then that's also how television works. You have to keep raising the stakes and the action to keep the viewer hooked.

[As promised when he's done there will be a Kitty delivery in his room! She set the bottle down on the desk and made herself comfortable on his bed. She'll just flip through the network until he gets there. She speaks up without looking up when she hears the door.] Girl delivery.

....You know that makes it sound as if you were promising more than some liquor, yes? [Is Tyrion's wry response, as he closes the door behind him and makes his way to his bed. He doesn't hesitate, just climbs up and buries his face into her shoulder, clinging tightly.]

I'm scandalous that way. [She wraps her arms around him and gives him a squeeze.] Guess my unconscious body wasn't super reassuring? [She knows they aren't. She's been on the waking, waiting side of things plenty of times before.]

[Her shoulder has nothing better to do than comfort one of her closest friends. It's fine. She gently strokes his hair.] I'm sorry about Furiosa. Were you close to any of the others?

[She might stay quiet about the rest of her thoughts with someone else, but this is Tyrion.]

Maybe I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. For it all to be some kind of fake out to mess with them even more. Chekov was the one to tell me and this is his third abduction. The previous two always brought people back from the dead. I'm not counting on it, but it makes it hard to just grieve. [She feels kind of paralyzed from it. At least until she has all her bearings again.] I still feel off balance from missing so much.

[He listens to her quietly, and his arms tighten around her before he leans back so he can lean up to look at her.]

[They all died because a planet exploded. Exploded. That ... doesn't seem like something you could put a bandage on and wait for the healers to take care of.]

I don't know. I don't really want to get your hopes up or mine either. In Marina they could do it because it was all virtual reality anyway. Our bodies were never hurt. [And part of her always wonders if this place is the same way. She couldn't tell in Marina. It felt real at the time.]

Not sure how it worked in the city either. But they can manipulate time. They could bring back versions of them from before they died. Or they could also not.

[Tyrion rolls over on his back, folding his hands on his stomach, as a grimace passes his face.]

...which makes it worse, in a way. If they can be brought back alive, that just proves how much power the Lords of Atroma have over us.

[It would be chilling to discover whether or not they were actually here or not.]

[She shifts, lying down and sliding in closer to him.] Just bringing us here at all was a pretty intense show of power. I also had a penis for week. I'm convinced. Lots of power.

[Tyrion twisted his head so he was looking at her, his gaze narrowing slightly.]
