I should probably mention I'm awake again since that's what everyone's doing. Who knew so many of us were sleeping together? [Light laughter. Yep. Okay, more serious face now.]

So, I heard what happened, and I don't want to make light of that. I know what losing a planet is like and it's...not great. [Such understatement.] But I also wanted to provide some distraction. [It's what he's best at.] Some fun. Some potential healing? [For himself too. He's still processing what happened to Okita and the others.]

For anyone who is interested—either over the network or by coming into the Space Bar at the Iskaulit—let's play a game I picked up on earth called, I Never. [He may also be correcting what he thought was awkward grammar from someone saying "Never have I ever." Details.]

So, you take turns and say something like, "I never crash landed on Earth." And if you have then you take a drink. [And he does.] Which is usually alcohol, but apparently [apparently, he says] kids don't do that here, so water or whatever is fine too. The objective is to make the other person drink more than you, so you might just get them really hydrated instead of drunk.

It's a good way to get to know someone too, so everyone's welcome even all those people I don't know yet. I'll start.

I never was born on Earth. [He doesn't drink.]

[If you do meet up with him at the Space Bar you'll see he's actually bartending and drinking on the job! But he has superhuman tolerance so there's that. He may even be responsible and switch to club soda if he needs to. He'll offer you a drink even if you're not interested in the game.]

(OOC: Feel free to threadjack if you want in on this concept with someone else too or just to point and laugh. You might want to check with them, but it's cool with me. And if anything goes to a place you don't want it to go just let me know or give me a heads up if there is something to avoid up front. He won't be intentionally hardcore about it.)

[He nods his head back and forth, wondering if it's possible he hasn't before he decides he must have and takes a drink.] Close enough at least.

I've never met someone by playing a game with them. [He takes a drink because he's not afraid to fail at the game's stated objective as long as the distraction, fun, and healing ones are met.] I'm Mon-El.

[pidge_out]

[Pidge has to consider that one for a second, but then shrugs and goes ahead and takes the sip.] I guess I haven't really either.

Nice to meet you. Have you been here long? I don't think I even know everyone from before my two-month nap.

Oh! I never been in a coma. [Yes, that makes him drink again too. Maybe next round he'll be more on task.]

[Pidge raises an eyebrow slightly, because Mon-El does seem to be purposefully fudging his own game. While she pointedly does not take a sip this round.] Actually, I'm probably hitting right around the two month mark by now. And I've never purposefully tried to lose a game.

[He doesn't drink and then he realizes what she's getting at and takes a drink.] Is it really losing if you get to drink more? But okay, mmm...

I've never needed glasses.

That's totally subjective.

[That gets Pidge to make a face. And there's a second's hesitation there before she sighs and takes her sip.] Touché.

I've never had a real, normal job.

[spacebro]

[He drinks.] Bartending is normal, right?

Does that mean you've had a fake or abnormal job? [He'll try to narrow it down!] I never had an illegal job. [...Oops... He drinks.]

[pidge_out]

[Pidge nods, smirking a little.] Totally normal.

[She doesn't drink to that, either.] I'm pretty sure that what I've been doing isn't exactly a job job. Then again, I've never been a soldier before, so...

[Oh. Maybe that counts as a thing? Time to take a sip? Does fighting aliens in a war make her a soldier?]

A soldier? How old are you? [Are you regulation soldier age? And what would that be exactly?]

[Pidge tilts her head slightly with a thoughtful frown.] I'm not sure if I count as a soldier, actually. But back home I am involved in a major intergalactic war.

And I'm 15. [It's hard to say if her birthday has passed, so...]

[Damn.] That feels soldier-adjacent at least.

Wait, intergalactic war? Do you know Lance?

[pidge_out]

Yeah, that's why I took a drink.

[She blinks at that name drop, eyes just the tiniest fraction wider. It shouldn't surprise her that someone else would know Lance. He and Hunk are easily the friendliest and most social of their group.] If you're talking about the skinny Cuban guy who doesn't know how to shut up, then yes. He's on my team.

That's the one. He's playing the game too. I just met him. Also, good to know the intergalactic wars didn't just double.

[She smirks a little and rolls her eyes.] Of course he's playing. This is completely up his alley.

And technically, once you know there are multiverses and alternate realities, there could be a pretty infinite number of space wars happening at any given moment.

It's a good thing we aren't playing an optimism game. You would not be winning. Also, you're playing and I'm playing, so why are you rolling your eyes about him playing?

[pidge_out]

[Her smirk grows a bit, and she takes a quick sip of her drink just because she's thirsty.] I always roll my eyes at him. It's just second nature now.

Hmm... I never had a crush on Lance. [Sorry, Lance. He's taken.]

[pidge_out]

[And there's another roll of her eyes, nose wrinkling in distaste. But at the same time, she looks terribly amused.]

Ew. I've never known anyone who would.

Poor Lance. Why's that? [But he drinks because he's from Daxam and he's sure some of them would.]
