I should probably mention I'm awake again since that's what everyone's doing. Who knew so many of us were sleeping together? [Light laughter. Yep. Okay, more serious face now.]

So, I heard what happened, and I don't want to make light of that. I know what losing a planet is like and it's...not great. [Such understatement.] But I also wanted to provide some distraction. [It's what he's best at.] Some fun. Some potential healing? [For himself too. He's still processing what happened to Okita and the others.]

For anyone who is interested—either over the network or by coming into the Space Bar at the Iskaulit—let's play a game I picked up on earth called, I Never. [He may also be correcting what he thought was awkward grammar from someone saying "Never have I ever." Details.]

So, you take turns and say something like, "I never crash landed on Earth." And if you have then you take a drink. [And he does.] Which is usually alcohol, but apparently [apparently, he says] kids don't do that here, so water or whatever is fine too. The objective is to make the other person drink more than you, so you might just get them really hydrated instead of drunk.

It's a good way to get to know someone too, so everyone's welcome even all those people I don't know yet. I'll start.

I never was born on Earth. [He doesn't drink.]

[If you do meet up with him at the Space Bar you'll see he's actually bartending and drinking on the job! But he has superhuman tolerance so there's that. He may even be responsible and switch to club soda if he needs to. He'll offer you a drink even if you're not interested in the game.]

(OOC: Feel free to threadjack if you want in on this concept with someone else too or just to point and laugh. You might want to check with them, but it's cool with me. And if anything goes to a place you don't want it to go just let me know or give me a heads up if there is something to avoid up front. He won't be intentionally hardcore about it.)

[Crowley is across the hallway in Málum, partly to run his own bar, but mostly to keep an eye on Tyrion. But this is his favourite game ever, so he is absolutely not going to miss it. Still, he'll turn the camera to himself and his bar in general. ]

In the interest of bar solidarity! [He doesn't drink at Mon-El's statement. Then again, he wasn't even technically BORN. ] I never learned how to play a musical instrument.

[Sokka would only be in the Blue Fish, being miserable. He might as well show up here and get drunk while he's doing that. Maybe even find something to laugh at. That's be nice. He raises his glass at Mon-El's statement, but doesn't drink. ]

Never even stepped foot there. [Earth sounds weird. ] Um. Okay. I never accidentally drugged myself and tripped out for the better part of a day.

[He takes a drink- which defeats the purpose of the game, but he actually wants to get drunk so who's the real winner here?]

[John's likely going to mosey on down to the Space Bar because, well, why not? He's definitely paying attention to Mon-El's words and duly takes a drink.]

That's a good one. Lemme think. ....I've never lived in America in the 21st century.

[Gil wants to play along, so he's trying to think of something that most people have done that he hasn't. It's strange because his experiences are so different than others here.

He takes a drink for Mon-El's, because he was indeed born on Earth in the middle of its crappiest places. And then he takes some time to think of one he can say. Finally, he does and says it with a bit of a chuckle in his voice like it's no big deal, completely not realizing that others might think it's depressing.]

[Mon-El looks thoughtful and then nods.] I think it would stretch the definitions of "learned" and "play" too much to say I know how. But I have made sounds happen. I've also done that with various pots and pans though.

[Mon-El seems happy to greet him. He doesn't remember all the time that elapsed, but it still feels like it's been awhile. He wasn't the most outgoing right after calibrations.

Without even having to think about his answer to this one he takes a drink. He could list many times. Daxam wasn't the best place even as the prince of it. He also respects this form of game play. It's easier to think of things you have done, but for the moment he'll play as intended.]

We've got that in common. Um, I've never lived in an ice town. [And it's true. He has not.]

[Oh, Pidge knows this game. More or less, anyway. Though because she's not a terribly... social person, she'll just kind of video herself in. If anyone's paying attention, she's clearly still on the Bishop, but at least she's in a common area and not holed up in her room for once.

And hey, she even has a cup of soda. Which she sips from, because yes, she was definitely born on Earth.]

Thanks. It was 2016 on Earth when I was there so... [He nods after completing his century math homework and takes a drink. It's not like Daxam was using the same calendar so it takes a second to process. He's far from drunk!]

[Oh hey, look, Pidge is...on the comms. Sokka leans in, squinting at the screen a little. ]

[Oh, sure, bring up the parents. No issues there. But considering this person just admitted to never even knowing his Mon-El can probably focus on that instead even if Gil doesn't exactly sound sad about it.

I'm sorry to hear that. I can't even imagine what that would have been like. [It feels awkward to continue the game immediately, but he'll get back on it!]

I haven't even driven a regular car. [He smiles, no drink for that one.] We mostly used short-range hover ships or transporters to get around Daxam. And Earth has Uber.

[So Lance isn't much of a bar person, considering he's just turned eighteen... But, hey. Eighteen is legal drinking age back in his home country. So as far as he cares, he's fine to drink now. Besides, he can use some chill out time instead of internally fretting about five thousand different things.

I've never met someone by playing a game with them. [He takes a drink because he's not afraid to fail at the game's stated objective as long as the distraction, fun, and healing ones are met.] I'm Mon-El.
