I should probably mention I'm awake again since that's what everyone's doing. Who knew so many of us were sleeping together? [Light laughter. Yep. Okay, more serious face now.]

So, I heard what happened, and I don't want to make light of that. I know what losing a planet is like and it's...not great. [Such understatement.] But I also wanted to provide some distraction. [It's what he's best at.] Some fun. Some potential healing? [For himself too. He's still processing what happened to Okita and the others.]

For anyone who is interested—either over the network or by coming into the Space Bar at the Iskaulit—let's play a game I picked up on earth called, I Never. [He may also be correcting what he thought was awkward grammar from someone saying "Never have I ever." Details.]

So, you take turns and say something like, "I never crash landed on Earth." And if you have then you take a drink. [And he does.] Which is usually alcohol, but apparently [apparently, he says] kids don't do that here, so water or whatever is fine too. The objective is to make the other person drink more than you, so you might just get them really hydrated instead of drunk.

It's a good way to get to know someone too, so everyone's welcome even all those people I don't know yet. I'll start.

I never was born on Earth. [He doesn't drink.]

[If you do meet up with him at the Space Bar you'll see he's actually bartending and drinking on the job! But he has superhuman tolerance so there's that. He may even be responsible and switch to club soda if he needs to. He'll offer you a drink even if you're not interested in the game.]

(OOC: Feel free to threadjack if you want in on this concept with someone else too or just to point and laugh. You might want to check with them, but it's cool with me. And if anything goes to a place you don't want it to go just let me know or give me a heads up if there is something to avoid up front. He won't be intentionally hardcore about it.)

You can, but you're missing the camaraderie of it all. You don't want to do that right?

[Pidge frowns a little, but it's on the anxious side rather than the disapproving one and Sokka can probably see that.] Video calling is a perfectly legitimate way to form camaraderie.

[Oh, Pidge. He offers her a more gentle smile. ]

You can sit by me, if you like. I'm safe.

That sounds debatable. [She gives him a little half-smile, still anxious but also kind of relieved.]

I'm not. Good with people. Like, in person.

[Wow he is the safest. But he doesn't seem to take offence. ]

Yeah, I noticed. But hey, you can come hang out, and if someone makes you uncomfortable, you can give me a signal and I'll shoo them away. I'll be your people-buffer.

[That gets her to blink, surprised.]

..Really? You wouldn't mind doing that?

'Course not! Happy to help, I get that it can be tricky. The whole...people thing. I'll even go get you a slushie from the other bar to sweeten the deal.

...Slushies do sound good right now.

There you go! Come on down, it'll be fun and once it stops being fun, you can leave.

[There's a little more hesitation, some hemming and hawing on Pidge's part, but eventually she nods. Even if she still isn't looking completely thrilled.]

The nanosecond it stops, I'm out.

[And then she's on her way over to this... wherever bar this is. Give her a bit of time.]

[He very solemnly crosses a hand over his heart. It's THAT serious a promise.]

The nanosecond! I swear.

ACTION NOW I GUESS

[Good. Pidge approves, Sokka.]

[And true to her word, Pidge eventually finds her way over. Pretty much immediately she's looking for the safe familiar faces of either Sokka or Lance, and then bee-lining for Sokka once she spots him.]

..Okay, I'm here.

[Sokka, smiles, waving her over. And lo, there sits the promised slushie. So delicious. ]

Hey you, glad you could make it.

[pidge_out]

[Mmmm, slushie. It looks excellent and she will totally sit down and dive right in.]

I've never been over here before. It's... pretty lively.

I know right? It's a pretty neat place to hang out. Everyone needs somewhere to let off a little steam, right?

[pidge_out]

[Pidge smirks a little, pulling the slushie close and taking a nice big sip.]

That's what my lab is for.

Okay, but this is a different kind of letting off steam. A social kind!

I already said that I'm bad at social stuff, didn't I?

All the more reason to let off steam while you're doing it.

[Well, whatever. At least she has a slushie. Which she will now be sipping again.]

[She snorts softly, rolling her eyes.]
