Video/Action : Open : "I Never" Game!

Who: Mon-El and YOU!
Broadcast: Open to all
Action: Open at the Space Bar
When: Now

I should probably mention I'm awake again since that's what everyone's doing. Who knew so many of us were sleeping together? [Light laughter. Yep. Okay, more serious face now.]

So, I heard what happened, and I don't want to make light of that. I know what losing a planet is like and it's...not great. [Such understatement.] But I also wanted to provide some distraction. [It's what he's best at.] Some fun. Some potential healing? [For himself too. He's still processing what happened to Okita and the others.]

For anyone who is interested—either over the network or by coming into the Space Bar at the Iskaulit—let's play a game I picked up on earth called, I Never. [He may also be correcting what he thought was awkward grammar from someone saying "Never have I ever." Details.]

So, you take turns and say something like, "I never crash landed on Earth." And if you have then you take a drink. [And he does.] Which is usually alcohol, but apparently [apparently, he says] kids don't do that here, so water or whatever is fine too. The objective is to make the other person drink more than you, so you might just get them really hydrated instead of drunk.

It's a good way to get to know someone too, so everyone's welcome even all those people I don't know yet. I'll start.

I never was born on Earth. [He doesn't drink.]

[If you do meet up with him at the Space Bar you'll see he's actually bartending and drinking on the job! But he has superhuman tolerance so there's that. He may even be responsible and switch to club soda if he needs to. He'll offer you a drink even if you're not interested in the game.]

(OOC: Feel free to threadjack if you want in on this concept with someone else too or just to point and laugh. You might want to check with them, but it's cool with me. And if anything goes to a place you don't want it to go just let me know or give me a heads up if there is something to avoid up front. He won't be intentionally hardcore about it.)

I don't know yet, I've only been there a short time. [she hums a bit thoughtfully] It isn't very big. Perhaps a week and a half by foot to travel from the two furthest points from one another?

A little bigger than mine-- you could do that walk in a day if you tried hard. But we were a tiny island in an archipelago. [She loves it dearly.] I haven't seen it in a while now, even before I came here.

That word means . . . a grouping of islands, yes? Daear - my country - is actually two island, although people rarely count the second one as apart of it. It is to the southwest and inhabited by dragons and Dragonborn, so no one ever goes there.

How long have you been away? It is because you are a pirate, yes?

[She gets a keen look of interest at the mention of dragons, but so far her experiences with them haven't been stellar, per se.]

Yeah, that's right. I left home properly a good two and a half years before I ever found myself in one of these places. Though I wrote home regularly.

So you live on an island with dragons? [Does that make her one of the Dragonborn? She doesn't want to assume, but...]

Goodness. I cannot imagine being in one of these places that long. [she says, though she knows full well she's been here and Kyriakos combined a total of that long, almost. Her nose wrinkles]

Not exactly. The dragons do not like to be bothered, so they stay on the second island by themselves. Dragonborn live in the south, though - a companion of mine is from there. Not quite the same, but they are kin . . . sort of.

[dragonborn are complicated]

[For Nami it's been three years all up stuck in these areas. It bites.]

Oh, I getcha. [Not, then.] Do dragons... generally leave humans alone if left unbothered?

That is what Moadan says - my companion. They have stayed away so long that most humans believe them to be myths. Only fools and those who wish to be one of the dragonborn dare test that.

[She nods.] We've got dragons where I'm from-- or at least, we've met one natural one. And there are theorised to be more out there in certain lands.

It's interesting, though. Mostly they're known as legends, and we've certainly not run into any out here.

[...well, except for Mikleo's stint as one. But that's not a point she's likely to bring up.]
