_{[ Kirk appears on the screen, and probably like many people he looks tired and a bit beaten up. Scratches not yet healed on his face, one even covered with a bandage on his cheek, that sort of drawn look around his eyes after all the sleepless nights and the battles and general horridness. A little to pale, perhaps.

Even so, he gives as warm a smile as he can as he begins to speak. ]}

For those of you who might not know, I come from a world called Earth - or at least, one of the versions represented here. On my world, in the country I hail from, we celebrate something known as Thanksgiving roughly around this time of year if I've done my calculations correct. Some people call it Friendsgiving, but it's all the same really.

Essentially, it's a time to a give thanks for the good things in your life, your friends, and your family. In the spirit of that, I've arranged for a gathering at the Melting Pot - a thank you to Jarvis for that. Everyone who wishes to come is welcome.

I just thought we all could use a day, a place, to be together and to just enjoy each other. So I hope to see you there.

_{[ The restaurant is set up to allow as much mingling as possible when people arrive - places to sit, of course, but there's gentle music playing for those who might want to dance and just to give some atmosphere (but not loud enough to stop conversation at all). Food and drink is laid out - things to nibble on rather than the usual feasts associated with a Thanksgiving. Not particularly ideal, but it's what could be managed. Unless, of course, anyone decided to bring something else to add to the spread.

Not a fancy party, to be sure, but it's warm and inviting, which is what Kirk had hoped for. A place for them all to come together and enjoy each other and just be glad they were all there and if not quite completely whole, then, well, able to be there. ]}

Oh, you've been to Earth? That's really cool though! I've never been there. Maybe some day. But when you're done with that, you should try the pink stuff. I made it, and it's a really good batch this time.

I have, and I was living there recently. You're from elsewhere?

[He gives the 'pink stuff' a closer look. Boy, there is a pink theme happening here.]

I'm from a planet called Zeus. It was settled by Earth colonists... I mean technically Martian colonists, but we're all human. Anyway. That was a long time ago. I've never been to Earth but I've heard a lot about it in history lessons!

[Grin.]

It's edible sugar glitter!

Is that so? [Now he knows they're from different times, or realities.] Earth has not yet done such a thing where I'm from. They will eventually, I'm certain, but it's strange to hear about another version of it.

I haven't heard of such a thing before. What does it taste like?

From most of the Earth people I've talked to, I'm like from way way in their future. Which is... weird? But maybe I'm from your future too. Wouldn't that be cool?

Um... sugar mostly? This is kind of... grapefruity I think. Maybe?

Oh, that would be something. [He's never met anyone from the future!] It is entirely possible then. I have already met someone here who is from my world, but years earlier.

It is not my usual sort of drink. You like it, though?

Oh, who? That's got to be really cool! But... kind of weird too, I bet. So you can like... tell them what their future is.

Yeah! I mean, it's not as good as a Fairy Glitter Death Bomb or anything, but I like pink stuff! And booze. So put them together and I'm happy.

His name was Jarvis. He knows of a friend of mine, but hasn't actually met him yet. He seems to know a fair bit about it already, without my help.

[And frankly, Thor doesn't know enough about the Starks to tell Jarvis much that would be relevant to him.]

Jarvis... that sounds really familiar. Maybe I've met him before? But... I guess that's cool? But maybe kind of weird? Or oh! Maybe you're just super famous and you didn't realize it yet!

Yeah! I got a permanent chromatic change on my follicles like... years ago. I love it. But you have pretty hair too.

I am already famous, actually. Though Jarvis is merely from a few decades before my own time. He must have heard about it from the other Avengers here.

Oh, cool! What are you famous for? Are you a holo-singer? Um... an MMA fighter? [I mean, check out those guns, okay.]

I saved the world a couple of times, fighting with the Avengers. I am also the God of Thunder, and Earth has many myths about me.

[A lot of them inaccurate, but it's still flattering.]

Though I'm not sure what an MMA fighter is - can you tell me?

Saving the world is good stuff! And you're a god? That's super cool! So yeah, it totally makes sense you're famous!

I was a little famous for a while in my home city 'cause they made me into a cartoon character, and that was kind of cool. But not nearly as cool as being a real god!

[Her new friend? Super awesome.]

MMA is mixed martial arts. People do like cage matches and shit, prize fights. That kind of stuff. I kind of wanted to go that way for a while when I retired but I never actually got to retire until it was too late so it worked out okay.

One of those things they show on television? That is still impressive.

[That's where most fame on Earth comes from.]

Oh, so those organised fights they have. I can't say I've ever done such a thing, except in training.

Yeah! They said they based the cartoon off what we did in the war but it was so not. It was funny as hell. [She wishes she had some of those episodes that she could show people here. There so much fun.]

Exactly! It's a good way to make money if you need money, I think. I mean, as long as you win. [Though she doesn't doubt that this guy would.]

You fought in a war?

[He asks out of interest, not out of any disbelief that Wrath could be a fighter.]

Oh, yeah. I was in the mobile infantry. First there was a civil war, then this bio weapon turned most of the other cities into mutant cannibals and we had to fight all them off while my city built a wall and dome to keep itself safe. Nothing since then, though.
