[This is what you get for accepting random NPC quests, Wolfe. This is exactly what you get. Sokka very quickly darts behind a snowbank, packing up his own new pile of ammunition. It would have been an excellent stealth attack, it really would have.

But Sokka will always be Sokka, and he rather ruins his stealth attack by leaping up and hurling another snowball at Wolfe while screaming at the top of his lungs. ]

SURPRISE ATTACK- WACKA-POW!!!

[That is absolutely not how you launch a surprise attack, Sokka.

Wolfe turns quickly, dropping his snowball to pull his staff from his back in a smooth motion and swinging it in a tight arc in front of him, clearly not meant as an attack for how close he keeps the shaft. Instead, ice erupts from the ground in a six-foot wall between Wolfe and Sokka, the snowballs splattering against it uselessly.]

Maker's Teeth, Sokka! It's not a surprise if I hear you coming.

[His friends tell him this all the time and he never learns. BUt wow, that's a nifty trick, probably the kind of sneaky water bending tactic Katara would use, in all honestly.]

Maybe it's a distraction. You don't know!

[Wolfe drops the wall and just looks at Sokka with such a deadpan expression that hopefully it comes as a surprise when he flicks the end of his staff up, sending a spray of the marshmallow fluff up at Sokka's face. It's less of an escalation than a physical manifestation of Wolfe's opinion on Sokka's "distraction".]

[Wow, Wolfe, WOW. Sokka yelps as he's covered in the delicious snow spray, waving his hands to save himself from it all. ]

Oh wow, okay, now it's officially war!

[Says he who can only throw snowballs like a regular human but still, one big snowball coming your way, Wolfe!]

[Now that he's expecting it, the snowball gets batted aside easily with a spin of Wolfe's staff. C'mon Sokka, you can do better than that.

Adalwolfe moves his foot back, squaring up facing Sokka, and holds his staff like he's ready to swing it more like a bat than to do any spellcasting.]

Bring it!

[That is not an appropriate use of a staff, Wolfe!!! He laughs, balling up some more snow, throwing these with a good deal more accuracy, he's got that boomerang arm going on.]

OH IT IS BROUGHTEN!!!

[Well at least that's a good distraction tactic because while trying to figure it out, Wolfe gets a snowball to the shoulder. With a huff, he connects with the second one. His swing is somewhere between a baseball and a golf swing with how long his staff is, which sends the snowball wobbling off and coming apart in the air. It was definitely satisfying to get a hit though and Wolfe whoops in triumph.

He might be playing a little bit of a different game than Sokka.]

[You know, he will roll with this, it's not exactly the snowball war he was expecting, but he will take it. It's fun. He laughs, throwing two more balls at Wolfe. ]

LET'S SEE YOU HIT TWO!!
