[ For a little while, Hermione doesn't venture out of her room; she stays on-board attending to the lab and making sure things are okay, working harder and harder and not seeming to take too many breaks. The only time that really changes is after the gifts have been delivered - then there's suddenly a large presence at her side that sometimes steps between her and her workbench, urging her away, as if trying to protect her from herself. Even when they're docked she doesn't actually go out of her way to enjoy the new planet, at least not for a little while, and she doesn't assume that her lack of wandering is going to be particularly missed. ]
EXPLORING
[ It's been a long time since Hermione has felt as though she was able to wander around without feeling pressure breathing down her neck - the last two planets have been a nightmare, one after the other, and the new one is a welcome break from that. She spends hours exploring, sitting by the lakes with a book and climbing up the hills to see what there is to see. She goes and sees the animals and falls half in love with every single snow leopard she sees, and feels the pangs of nostalgia when she spots the otters.
Hermione absolutely takes advantage of the log fire cabins with their quiet rooms with space for reading; they remind her of her office in Caer Glaem, her dorm room at Hogwarts, all the little pieces of home that are memories, something she doesn't think she's ever going to get the chance to see again - and she's made peace with that.
It's a beautiful planet, and she welcomes the break, walking through and letting herself get distracted by the outside world. She welcomes anyone who wants to wander with her and the company they offer, but she's happy to sit in silence, too, if anyone wants to join her. ]
SHOPPING
[ It's the season, she thinks, and Hermione seems to get genuinely excited at the idea of being able to go out and start to buy presents for the people nearest and dearest to her. She has enough credits that it's not really an issue, at least for now, and she does a little bit of work on the side just in case.
Wherever she goes, Romulus goes with her, and she keeps a hand on his head - both to keep him at her side and to make sure that the locals realise that despite him being a rather large wolf he's more like a puppy at times than anything else. She hasn't been threatened yet - she doesn't expect to be - but it's caution that has her making sure he doesn't get himself in a fuss.
Thankfully, she has a bag that's big enough to carry almost everything she buys, and it seems as though she is intent on getting everyone she knows and loves something for Christmas, even if it's small, and the look of determination on her face doesn't seem to be going anywhere. ]
Vanquish
He noticed, but didn't say anything at first, hoping she was the type to be able to recognize it and shake it for a little while, but it seemed that wasn't a trait most workaholics had.
It had been a few days since they'd docked and Hermione hadn't budged, so Karman made his way to the med bay instead of the doors after he was through checking the engine for the day. When he got there, he knocked on the frame of the door in case she was a jumpy sort.]

[They don't have Christmas in his world but he is out wandering around the marketplace anyway. He isn't as determined as Hermione but he is shopping for her among other people. He doesn't really know her well but he knows she must be hurting the same way he is... he's got a hole in him where Ignis and Luna used to be. He feels so lost and confused and numb.
He's accompanied by two dogs Umbra and his gift from the Atroma.... Pryna.
They catch the scent of Romulus from fairly far away and hurry over to Hermione. They sniff around and try to make themselves acquainted with the wolf the the girl with him. Noctis comes hurrying up behind them. "Umbra, Pryna, enough." Both the dogs sit and Noctis approaches.
"Hermione... sorry, they just ran off, I guess they got bored with me window shopping."

On top of this package, however, is a miniature Snow Leopard. Another is draped along one shoulder and a third is keeping pace with it's human by his ankle. Although, at the sight of the girl and wolf, it's fur stands on end and a low growl is it's greeting.

Sokka |OTA
[It's been a while since they could get meat that WASN'T living on a creepy death planet. Sokka wants to make sure the Blue Fish has a decent meat supply again, but he'll happily let anyone else tag along with him on a hunt- he'll even help other ships get supplies, because he's a good guy like that. Spear in hand, he can be found tracking the various large wild game roaming around.
Or, you might find him out on the frozen lakes ice fishing. He doesn't have a fishing rod, just a spear. He does it the traditional way. ]
[Snowball war]
[It's been some time since their last snow planet. It might not even be real snow- but Sokka will absolutely take it. He thrives in environments like this, it's quite literally the sort of land he was born to be in. He aims to make the most of this before they go back to world that don't remind him of home.
Which also means people are going to be dragged into snowball wars. Perhaps he already convinced you to do this, or perhaps you were just walking by when a ball of snowfluff smacked you on the head. Hope you can get that out of your hair, sorry not sorry. ]
[Shopping!]
[Sokka is glad to be not only in a place where He can buy new clothes- but also somewhere that has the sort of wear that would be a regular part of his wardrobe anyway. Besides, he does love shopping- chances are he probably dragged you along for the ride. ]

Thor | OTA
[Now this planet is more similar to the outreaches of Thor's own world. He's quick to head out and see the landscape for himself, not bothered much by the cold. He goes hiking out towards the mountains, scaling one of the nearby peaks to get a better view of the land around.
Closer to Berrivalia, he can often be found crouching a few dozen paces away from the local wildlife, making sure to stay downwind. Whether it's an arctic bear or a pack of lions, he watches them with keen interest. It reminds him of when he used to go hunting in Asgard, even if he's just observing the animals this time.]
shopping.
[He does need other clothes. His armor is fine, but having alternatives would be better, especially for those times he's not out being active. So Thor is an obvious fixture in the clothes shops early on, pulling out various cloaks and sweaters to peruse. You might overhear him talking to the shopkeeper as well, item in hand.]
It looks suitable, but do you have any in a larger size?
[Being tall and built occasionally has its downsides.]
your substitute tow-truck.
[It happens. Sometimes snowmobiles just break! This is what Thor's heard from the locals, anyway, and he's quick to volunteer to bring in any that have broken down. The locals are dubious at first, but when Thor brings his first vehicle back in single-handed they're eager to use his services. It's a bit of a hike to get to where they're located, but when he gets there Thor just ties a rope to the vehicle and stars hauling it back to town. Maybe you're one of the hapless joyriders who got stuck in the snow, and Thor's come to help you out.]

Wrath
HERE COMES THE PAIN TRAIN MOTHERFUCKER!
[Prepare to get tackled into the snow by an enthusiastic Wrath wearing bright pink mittens--or alternatively pelted with snow balls. Nearby, Officer Snuggles yips excitedly and frolics in the snow like a mad fox. ]
This is the best place ever!
SHOPPING
[Wrath is enthused about tasting all of the chocolate and pastries and marshmallow, but she's most captivated by the snow leopards--which mercifully Snuggles doesn't seem to mind. He's a well-trained fox.]
She's got such pretty eyes though. I miss having a kitty so much...
[This is the beseeching look of "tell me it's okay to get this one, pretty please."]
EXCEEDING THE SPEED LIMIT
[Why someone thought it was a good idea to rent out a snow mobile to Wrath is anyone's guess. Why you might think it's a good idea to get on it with her--or race against her--is entirely on you.]
Come on, let's see how fast this shit can go. Are you ready or what?

Tempest | ota
[generally in the winter months back home, Tempest wouldn't be caught dead outside; either she was as south as she could get, or locked up in her room in an inn attempting hibernation. As pretty as the planet is, however, her dislike of winter and cold and other related things puts her in a mood.
But she tries, and she keeps a tight hold on her short temper. There's warm clothes to buy, and she can either be found looking at both more modern clothing or the furs and heavy cloth she's used to, hunched over in a heavy jacket she'd picked up previously.
You might even catch her marveling at some of the faux fur. Fumbling to hold it up with one hand and wondering aloud to the nearby shopkeeper]
But it does not look fake - is it as warm as the real thing?
[priorities]
turning a garden into a zoo;
[okay, look. She had no intentions on adopting anything else. She had a lizard . . . thing . . . and he was quite content to live in her room with the plants that survived the crash last planet. He was cute, in an ugly kinda way. Surely he didn't need friends.
But then she finds the snow leopards and otters and that's the end of the lies she tells herself.
She's on a mission now: find a very specific-looking otter. As close as she can get. Come help her achieve her true purpose as an otter mom]
hunting;
[it's part boredom, part wanting to help feed her crew. She has her sword back as well, and while she might be down a hand, that isn't going to stop her from taking out any remaining frustrations on the poor wildlife.
Of course, having a sword only gets you so far. For the birds she can't reach, well . . . a bit of magic goes a long way]

Baku | ota
[being what she is, cold really isn't a problem for her. But considering she's still making some attempts at appearing some manner of normal, she realizes that she can't just wander around in her school uniform. So she picks up a jacket (a heavy one, at the shopkeeper's insistence), and then decides to wander the shops to see what else they have to offer.
She gets distracted with the glasswork almost immediately. From shop to shop she goes, marveling at the intricate detail and creativity she comes across. But that isn't what distracts her the most, no - you will absolutely find her at the counter, speaking with the owners of the shop to find out everything she can about who, how, and etc about the little trinkets she's picking up]
cat with cats;
[she doesn't care what anyone says; snow leopards are just bigger cats better suited for this weather. She considers adopting one, if only because it'd be funny to laze around with a buddy - she's technically part cat, and that tiny little part always seems the most obvious when it comes to how she acts.
So she can be found at some points wherever the snow leopards are being sold, crouched down and staring intently at whichever one acknowledges her first. She tilts her head and hums, and addresses the leoard as if it totally understands her]
Hoooh. You have a lazy face like Shishi's cats.
[it's hard to tell if that's a compliment or an insult]
wildcard;
[you can catch her all over the planet, being a curious little dream eater. Feel free to come up with a different prompt!]
Riona Cousland Theirin | OTA
[The only warning you might hear is a little laugh, before from somewhere behind you, a crystal fluff ball hits you on the back of the head. Riona's hiding behind a large rock, peeking out for a moment to see if you've spotted her before ducking back behind it.
It's been too long since she's gotten into a proper snowball fight. She's not going to pass up the opportunity.]
B. Ice Skating!
[Fereldan-born, Riona's no stranger to the snow and ice. Bundled up appropriately, she finds herself wandering about the planet quite a bit. Even if this isn't exactly snow, it's close enough for her.
Before long, she finds a frozen lake with people skating on it. She beams and turns to you.]
Oh, let's go ice skating! It's been so long since I've done!
C. Atroma Hitting Her With Feels (Aka her gift)!
[Later on during the stay, Riona can be found fiddling with a rather large, ornate ring that she's taken to wearing. Her previously happy demeanor fades to something sad as she opens up the ring, which is in fact a locket. She'll stare into for quite awhile, her brow furrowed into something unreadable.
Care to ask her what's up?]
D. Wildcard!
[Hit me with your own prompt! Riona will be out and about, everywhere from shopping to exploring. She'll be renting a nice cabin for the stay, so feel free to drop by to visit her there, too!]

Jayden Price | OTA!
[ You know what Jayden has missed from back home? Her sparrow. Sometimes, there's nothing quite like climbing onto a hovering vehicle, slamming on the acceleration, and just driving. So when she sees the snowmobiles, she lights up. And when she sees that anyone can rent one? Well, you bet your ass that's what she's gonna do.
You'll find her on a sleek black and blue painted model, built for speed. Out in the wilderness, she's going full throttle: jumping over snowbanks, weaving through any sparse scatterings of trees, or just going as fast as she can, wherever the ride may take her. Just outside city limits, where the official race tracks are, she's in line and ready to go - should anyone want to challenge her. If you catch her in the city, well... she won't be obeying the speed limit, sorry to say~ but she can be flagged down, if you want a ride anywhere, or just want to say hi. (And no matter where she is, at least she's wearing a damn helmet. Safety first~?)
Honestly, the speed makes her happy - and it's easy to tell. She really needed this. ]
2. Shopping??
[ With all of this talk of holidays by other people in the Fleet, Jayden's realized... The Dawning is coming up soon! And she should probably... do something about that.
She hasn't told anyone about The Dawning (yet), so at least she can get away with it being a secret. ... For now. But if anyone sees her out shopping, it might be odd to see her in a store geared toward young girls, or one geared toward book-lovers, or other stores for very specific hobbies of other friends. (The wine shop is probably pretty typical, but she's actually not there for herself, shocker.)
Care to catch her off-guard~? ]
3. Wildcard option!
[ Jayden's curious about the weird not-snow, for sure -- you'll probably catch her scooping some up and tasting it, completely baffled as to why it tastes like marshmallows. Heck, even her Ghost keeps investigating, hovering over the ground and near icicles, scanning them all in an attempt to figure out anything he can! It's entertaining to watch, admittedly. Wanna challenge her to a snowball fight? Bring it on. Care to go hunting with her? She just got a new shotgun from Atroma, she's willing to join in. Want to try talking her into ice skating? ... Good luck, but hey, it's worth a shot??
When not planetside, Jayden can be found on the SS Iskaulit, especially in the Gym. You might even get to see her channel some arc lightning, electricity crackling around her arms as she throws a few punches at a practice dummy. Feel like some sparring? Or maybe just a workout accountability buddy? ]
(( ooc - i can also be reached at
closed - to Aizawa
Jayden's already been to the lobby, asked around. Turns out, this happens pretty often. So the hotel is prepared, at least. ... Figures. Oh well. She comes back to the room with two very large cups of coffee, hands one to Aizawa before she takes a seat on the edge of the bed. ]

Felix Gaeta
Architecture
[By now, Felix has other plans in his life that don't revolve around being an architect. He was younger then, and now he has more serious, science-y goals in mind. Also, ones that are more military-esque. He's left the architecture thing behind.
...Except where he hasn't. The way the inhabitants of Selvin-9 have chosen to construct their buildings is fascinating to him. It's colorful and beautiful. He loves it.
Loves it enough that at least one day at dusk, he can be found with a notebook (which he's been carrying around for other reasons anyway), sketching out the buildings around him, and the shapes the stained glass create on the ground. He's actually not half-bad at the drawing thing. He makes very precise lines. Possibly you might catch him talking to himself under his breath.]
Maybe I should have brought colored pencils...
[Although if anyone actually shows any interest in him or his drawings, he'll pull the notebook tight into his chest once he notices. After a second, he'll smile. Even if it's a little self-conscious.]
It's a really cool idea, isn't it?
Snow Tasting
[Okay. Maybe he shouldn't really be spending money that isn't his. But it is his? Technically. It's confusing.
The thing that Felix is spending not-his-maybe-his money on is those jars of snowfluff. It's actually not that he has that big of a sweet tooth, even though it does taste nice. He's just really, really curious about the claim that different regions have different-tasting snow. Maybe it's just local pride but...well, maybe it's not? The tiny scientist part of Felix's brain has been set off.
To that end, you might find him sitting in a cafe or lodge somewhere with a bunch of jars of snowfluff. He also has his notebook. What he's apparently doing is taste-testing them all (with some sort of palate-cleanser in between, of course) and writing notes.
...He's a peculiar child.]
Post-Glitch (one week in)
Exploring
[Felix is slightly less enthused about so many things once he's returned to his proper age. Still, it's nice to have a planet where no one is trying to kill them and (hopefully) there will be no shocking crisis. A winter planet isn't really what he was looking forward to, but he'll take it.
The memory of the last two planets fill him with an urge to stretch his legs (metaphorically). Hiking can be rough, but snowmobiles aren't. Felix definitely isn't a speed-demon, so anyone can probably catch up to him or find him exploring a little ways out from town, or taking a break at particularly nice-looking lake or other scenic view.]
Wildcard
(Anything else you might want! Snowball fights for small Felix? (The adult one will probably just raise an eyebrow at any attacker but...sure....try...) Rope him into shopping? Adult Felix can likely also be found with a book in a lodge because that sounds comfortable too.)

Rose | OTA
[As easy as it is to forget sometimes, Rose is an adventurer by trade. She'll gladly take a good adventure after the last month and a half. Especially if it's the kind that involves exploring new places and maybe killing a few monsters, not leading revolutions and killing gods.]
[She signs up for a week-long trek outside the city, exploring a few of the caves in the region. It's a nice trip, and it's the closest thing that she's had to an actual vacation in a very long time.]
[Occasionally, when she feels it's warranted, she'll slip away from the group. She's not going to bother doing anything too extreme, she's aware of her limits, but there are a few cave paths she'll take it on herself to explore.]
[On the way back, she breaks off from the group early, when she finds a log cabin. Despite being so far away from the city and looking almost deserted, there's a certain homey feel to it. Anybody who stops by will likely see her curled up by the fire.]
[Snow Racing]
[As a general rule, Rose doesn't like the snow. It's cold and uncomfortable and dreary, and has more than one unpleasant memory attached.]
[But as much as she disliked the cold, her curiosity about the snow mobiles got the better of her. She'd ridden plenty of chocobos (and more than one type of magitek), back home, but none of them were like this. The snow mobile went so fast she felt like she was flying, and the constant rush of adrenaline kept her from getting too cold.]
[Eventually, she gets confident enough to try a race or too, but it's much more for enjoyment than it is any sense of competition.]
[Pet Adoption]
[It feels a little odd to adopt what's essentially a house cat when she's part cat to begin with, but one look into the snow leopard's eyes and she couldn't say no.]
[Admittedly, even just holding the cat makes her feel a little bit better, and she keeps it cradled in her arms as she walks around the city.]
[Wildcard]
[Up to you!]

[In the city, the ice-rink is buzzing with activity, and the large windows at the front of the building make it easy to see the colorful crowd of visitors gliding in slow circles around the rink. Kaidan stands just outside, hand on the glass as he's struck with a strong feeling of nostalgia and longing for a time he can never return to.
His eyes turn to the counter where skates are being rented out and he sighs pensively.
Should he?]
B. Hunting
[Funny that before the fleet, Kaidan hadn't much experience in hunting, but planets like this have given him the chance to hone the skill. It's clear, though, that he still approaches all this like a soldier. He stands at the edge of a field in his blue Alliance armor with a pistol and rifle at his side, but it's not either of those that's he's stopping to examine. Instead, his right hand is poised over his left forearm, which is enveloped by a construct of orange light - his omni-tool. Lights blink and tiny machine parts soundlessly spin and shift and he tinkers with a display.]
Alright...let's see if this checks out.
[He drops both arms and the omni-tool disappears from sight and he reaches for his rifle]
C. Wildcard
Got an idea? Hit me up!
A!
Kaiden in general was one of the better sights he could ask for, but Shepard could tell something was making him hesitate. As he got closer, he finally saw what.]

So much to stock up for the joy of the season, or well at least the one he celebrated, and one never knew when they would find such a nice system again, so best to get while the getting was good, so to speak. He could be seen walking down the snow-laden streets with a number of packages - similar to a shopping montage out of just about any twentieth-century movie.
Eventually it was all beginning to be a bit much, or maybe he was just having a hard time with the snow, but every now and then a wrapped something would drop into the marshmallow snow, which set off a creative litany of words that may or may not be cursing.
Or hey, maybe he's shopping for you. Or perhaps he reaches out and calls you over, wanting your opinion on something or other in the window. ]
animal magnetism
[ Don't mind Kirk. He's just squaring off against a snow otter.
He stood in a battle ready crouch, eyes narrowed as he faced the little creature with its innocent gaze (which was a lie!). It's little paws held a small, shiny box, turning it over and over curiously, its own attention divided between the large man standing before it and the shiny thing in its paws. ]
All right, stay there, good otter... don't move....
wanderlust (exploring)
[ For all that Kirk had a very striking and vocal dislike of ice planets of any sort, he had to admit that this one had a number of charms. That combined with his natural curiosity was enough to set him out wandering, choosing mostly to stick to the beaches and its strange mix of land and sea and flora and fauna.
He could be seen crouched near animals like seals or the local birds, taking photos, or making quick notes in a notebook. Of course, every now and then he might also be seen making a quick escape from said animals. At least they didn't have to many teeth. That was always bad news for him - which is what made him keep glancing suspiciously at any snow drifts that seemed to large or out into the oceans.
And once, ever now and then, Kirk can be seen actually sat in the snow, scribbling in his notebook with furious, quick strokes. Curious, no? ]

Shopping!
(As much as Lance loves Shiro, he's way too vague when it comes to advice on stuff like that.)]
What's that you're looking at there?

Anders
[The highlight of Anders' life is clearly this planet.
Anyone near enough might hear the most undignified cooing sound coming from the usually more reserved healer. The source of this unbridled affection is one of the snow leopard vendors and Anders has done everything he can to bury himself in every small cat willing to come near.]
Aren't you the sweetest little prince? Yes you are! You want to come home with me, don't you? We can get you a little bed and a handsome collar and the fanciest leopard food in the galaxy; you and...maybe ten more of your friends?
[Yep. Ten. Eleven snow leopards....out of the eleven the man has to sell right now.]
Shopping
[Anders can be found more than once perusing the wears the planet has to offers. He looks through their more practical things first, but a lot of it is priced high and, while he isn't necessarily wanting for money, he isn't really that hard-up for medical supplies either, even with the ship's...adventures.
No, instead, the shops he seems to be gravitating towards are ones that offer jewelry. Specifically, rings. Wintersend is around the corner, but he's definitely looking for something...specific.]
Ice Skating
[The ice rink in particular held his attention longer than most other attractions on the planet. Anders had never gone ice skating before. Sure, the water in his rat-spit village would freeze over in winter like everything in Ferelden, but poor farmer's kids didn't get to do much more than stumble around and knock their faces against the ice, actual ice skating was for nobles who could afford it.
Anders stood outside the rink, looking in at the individuals and couples skating along. Watching was close enough, right? He shouldn't waste time with silly childhood fancies.
But watching a little longer couldn't hurt...]

Dorian Pavus || OTA
[ This is not the warm weather planet he was hoping for in the least. While it's not as cold as it could be, Dorian is thoroughly frozen. The woes of coming from the warm Tevinter climate is that he has absolutely no tolerance for cold or the lack of humidity. That being said, he is in desperate need of warmer clothing. Silk, as it happens, is not good for insulating. Despite rubbing his arms and the shivering, he is determined to find a coat that isn't some cobbled together monstrosity. He still has standards, Maker help him. He can be found either window shopping or picking through racks in a store looking less than enthused. ]
Fasta vass, their fashion sense must be buried under this ridiculous snow..
B;; But the fire is so delightful
[ One of the better places on the planet that appeal to Dorian are the cabins that offer a warm hearth, a good view, and comfortable places to read. He can most certainly be found curled- or at least sitting- in one of the cozy chairs, his nose in a book and a long-forgotten and once-warm drink on a table near his elbow. Care to join him or pull him out of his reading? ]
C;; And since we've no place to go
[ Finally armed with a coat that he's deemed acceptable, he can be found, or even caught, shopping for gifts for others. Or at least debating between some options. It's been a long time since he's given someone a gift, he feels a bit like grasping at straws. Maybe your character runs into him as he's just starting, spending entirely too much time looking at artisan soaps. Or perhaps later, arm laden with bags as he walks with shoulders hunched and scarf drawn around his face as he makes his way to the next stop. ]
D;; Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
[ Wildcard it! ]
mikleo
[Mikleo had heard there was a rink in the fleet now, but he hadn't gotten around to checking it out yet; life's been busy, and he's been plenty preoccupied lately. The last planet and its plethora of issues took up an awful lot of his time, and then there was some... unfortunate departures... anyway, it's a new planet, and new experiences to dip his toes in. Now's as good a time as any.
With some prodding he gets Sorey to fetch him a pair of skates, and after a few minutes of cautious gliding to get a feel for it he picks up speed, turning wide circles about the rink, following the path of the ice, taking in the sight of the terrain with a surprisingly contented smile on his face. Sure, he might be getting weird looks from some of the residents as a pair of skates and an invisible person drift across the ice, but he's not really paying attention to all of that.
He's quite literally in his element here, and it feels amazing. This is just what he needed.]
( heck yeah snowcones!! )
[sorry, did someone say cooking competitions? because cold treats are his specialty, and he has plenty of pride about it. He may be inexperienced when it comes to the ingredients of this world, but he makes up for it with the speed and presentation with which he can prepare any of the challenges thrown his way. If he doesn't win, he gets a decent enough ranking to walk away with something a few times.
When he's not trying to compete (generally in the competitions involving the orange humans who can't really see him) he's watching and taking notes, trying to imitate the recipes he sees them put together. He's also collecting a bunch of the marshmallow snow, intent on storing and experimenting with it later.
Anyone care to come and try what he's making? It can get awfully elaborate.]
( c. heck yeah wildcard!)
[He's wandering kind of all over, pester at will. He's shopping, snooping about, taking in the sights. Maybe find a nice snowdrift to flop on and take a nap or something.]
a
Of course he could always get out there with him, but then he wouldn't be able to watch.]

Eleanor Hume | Closed to Alisha!
[Which means it's time to make some calls she's been meaning to. There's still a lot she doesn't know about Sorey's group, and there are still a few of them she hasn't met. This is probably the best chance she'll have for awhile, so she invites his squire out skating.]
[Eleanor is there early enough, but she'll happily pass the time until the other girl arrives. The food here is fantastic, and there's plenty of wonderful scenery to take in.]

Keith
[Keith could be found doing several things specifically. He was either browsing shops in a mild panic, looking for what kinds of movies were playing, checking out restaurants around town, trying to figure out what local activities there were in the main city, or distracting himself from whatever self-imposed mission he was putting himself through by renting a snowmobile and challenging people to underground betting races out in the wilderness. (And winning pretty thoroughly against a lot of the locals.)
Pick your poison.]
=====
closed to Lance
[Now that he had figured out exactly what he was going to do, and had actually sort of presented Lance with his gift of a date by actually asking him, Keith managed to settle his nerves a bit and head over to the Blameless to actually pick up his boyfriend around mid-afternoon as promised. Dressed casually, but still presentable, he knocked on the door to Lance's quarters.]

When he hears the knock on the door, he gives himself one last check in the mirror before going over and opening it.]
Hey, you.
[And he leans in to give him a kiss on the cheek.]
