[ Kirk's heart fluttered a bit at even that small contact, taking the opportunity to briefly brush their fingers. ]
It's ready for us whenever we go. We have it for two days. But if we like it, I can get some more days later on.
no subject
Perhaps we should hole up in there for a while? Turn off the communicators for a couple of days.

[ Not entirely off. Emergencies and all, but definitely on do not disturb. He smiled back, his heart continuing to flutter and his cheeks rosy from the cold and excitement that his surprise was going over well. ]
Sounds like my kind of holiday. Your feet might actually stay warm.
[ There's warmth in his teasing and the curl of his lips, though he does worry about the other's toes, glancing at them. ]
no subject
Now that is a concept I can fully get behind.
[His feet are so damn cold, Kirk. ]
no subject
[ He looked down again and he really was quite worried for them, though you are getting nowhere near his person with those toes until they are at least room temperature. ]
Well, no time like the present, right?
[ He flagged down a transport vehicle and looked to Fenris. ]
Twenty minutes to off the grid bliss.
no subject
...Well, I wouldn't say no.
no subject
One would hope not.
[ He chuckled and slid in after him, touching his knee as he gave the address for the cabin. The act was more for reassurance and his own tactile nature than anything possessive, easily moved if Fenris desired it. ]
I really do hope you like it. I promised you something nice, after the last planet, so I hope this keeps me from being a liar.
no subject
Unless it's a hole in the ground, then I assure you that I will not think you a liar.

[ His hand twitched at the contact, a small sign of his joy at Fenris returning his display of affection. He was never much one for large public displays, and took pleasure when Fenris would respond to the smaller ones. ]
It is definitely not a hole in the ground.
[ Not for the price he paid, but it was worth it. ]
Feels a bit like the night I first said I liked you like this. In that hotel, where I had fish in the floor and you were reading that naughty book.
no subject
Oh...yes. I remember it well.
no subject
[ He laughed softly, leaning over to press his lips to Fenris' ear. ]
I might have made copies of the pages and brought them along. In case you wanted to try an reenactment ~
no subject
Why does that not surprise me? I might...indulge you a little, in that case.
no subject
[ It was quite a challenge not to abuse the fact Fenris' ears seemed a bit of an erogenous zone for him. Very hard. ]
Well, the setting just seemed so perfect, I couldn't help myself. I thought we might benefit from a little... inspiration on our vacation.
no subject
Not that we need any, but it might make things...interesting.
no subject
[ Kirk laughed, tilting his head amusedly. ]
My, the cold has made you frisky, Fenris. Perhaps I should turn down the temperature on the ship more often, eh?

Oh, well, by all means, carry on showing me your gratitude.
[ He turned his gaze out the window to see where they were and how much longer it would be. Not long now. They were winding up a mountain road, and he could see the soft light of cabins between trees, spaced out just far enough away that one could feel like they had a semblance of privacy. Their own rolled into view as they turned down a drive - nothing incredibly fancy. A simple one-level cabin with two bedrooms, a sizable bath, small kitchen, and fireplace. It was more than enough for a few days and a true luxury compared to their usual quarters up on the Tourist. ]
After you, Fenris.

[As they come up to the cabin, Fenris relaxes considerably more. A smile, small and genuine, crosses his face as they step inside. He glances around- closing his eyes for a moment to relish the silence around them. Finally, some space to breathe. ]
no subject
I'm taking your silence as you like it?
[ He watched the other from near the doorway, hands in his pockets, enjoying the way Fenris' body shifted in that subtle way that said he was relaxing, the tightness leaving him - or at least some of it. He knew Fenris would never be one hundred percent relaxed around him, or perhaps one day he would be, but not now. Still, that Fenris would relax even marginally around him made his heart warm. ]
no subject
It's perfect.
no subject
[ Oh, there went the flutter of his heart again. He walked closer, reaching up to brush his fingers over the other's cheek, leaning his head down to touch their foreheads for a moment. ]
That's a whole grade better than I thought I would get.
[ He flashed a smile for Fenris, it's usual smarmy charm replaced with a soft warmth that few rarely saw. ]
Let's get your feet warm. The bath really is almost the best part of this place.
no subject
Oh? Well, congratulations on passing your class.
[Oh, how he loves that smile. He would do anything for that smile, he realises, even just to see it for a second. ]
Only almost?
no subject
Well, there's one room that's is just slightly better. It has more room to it, you see.
[ His nose wrinkled as he winked, gently pressing on Fenris' back to get him to walk towards the bathroom - which was quite lovely. Marble counters ( or what looked like marble ) and an obscenely large claw foot tub. More than big enough for two full grown men. A little trap stood by its side with oils, salts, and other accoutrements to spoil themselves. Kirk went to the edge and found the digital reader to start the bath, setting the temp and letting it begin to fill, steam quickly rising. ]
no subject
Oh? So there's a room better than this? Because this one is doing very well, thus far.
no subject
Oh yes, it's quite a bit better. But it's a surprise.
[ He's talking about the bedroom, but he's going to keep playing this game as long as he can. He left the bath to keep filling and sat on the edge to start working off his boots and socks. ]
Do you want to add anything to the bath? They left us quite a few toys - looks like salts, petals, bubbles...
