_{[ He grinned brightly and lowered himself into a defensive starting position, watching her for a moment before he lunged in. He came low, aiming around her hips, wanting to throw off her balance, arms crossed to push at her with his forearms. ]}

[ She's watching him pretty carefully, so when he comes at her like that, she's ready. She blocks low, uses his own momentum against him by twisting to the side and letting him continue forward.

Definitely an interesting start, she thinks - she'll have to keep her guard up, especially if he keeps trying to throw her off her game like that. ]

_{[ He goes with the momentum, letting himself dip forward. He braced on his hands and twisted his hips, lashing out in a low leg strike - hit or miss he would carry through in a full spin and push himself back to get space again. ]}

[ It hits, but she recovers before she completely falls over, instead stumbling to the side. But once she has her feet back under her, she closes that distance between them with a back hand strike aimed at his shoulder. ]
