January Goldstone Mingle
Who: Goldstone crew and visitors!
Broadcast: As desired
Action: The Goldstone
When: Month of January
It's been a quiet, relaxing month for the Goldstone, which has both an upgraded lounge and a returned crew member. The fleet soon leaves Selvin-9 and its strange snow behind and starts to drift.
Fingers crossed for an easy journey?

[Maggie was settling back in - yet again - fairly well now that she's transferred to the Goldstone. Being able to transition with ease made it easier to get back to work. Anyone looking for a doctor or anything so small as a bandaid would find her in the Medical Lab, drumming a pen stylus on a datapad, going through supplies and the like for the ship. She had missed a lot in her absence and wanted to pick up the slack now that she was First Mate again.]
Lounge
[A cup of coffee in hand, Maggie finds a minute to kick her feet up and enjoy. It was nice being among friends, new and old. Anyone passing through that wanted to strike up conversation could find her easily here, reading a book. When had she ever had time to read a book back home? It felt like ages. She was taking advantage of it but still keeping an ear out if anyone needed her for work-related reasons.]
medical lab
Which means his first stop is to see new and old crewmates. So when he sees Maggie back in her familiar haunt, he smiles and peeks his had in through the door. Saizou is at his feet, staring up at her as well.]
Settling in alright again?
no subject
Yeah, I'd say. It's nice getting to be around everyone again.
[Maggie looks down at Saizou and back to Okita as if to say 'yes you too, Saizou.']
How about you? I heard from Mon-El I missed a few things.
no subject
He's going to call it a small miracle and let it go at that.
Okita smiles as Saizou snorts and wanders into the lab to sniff at Maggie's foot, oblivious to his owner's feelings.]
Oh~ Nothing much. I gave Crowley-san a stuffed animal pig though. And he actually kept it. That was a surprise.
no subject
[But what does she know? She still felt like she was getting to know each member of the crew and sometimes people were full of surprises.]
Did I miss anything interesting while I was gone?
med lab
Do you ever stop? [ Not that he's one to talk. ]
no subject
No, not usually. If it wasn't doing work to help your dad or the Hilltop, I suppose it'd have to be this.
[As much as it kills her, not being pregnant anymore had its perks - no more exhausting herself too quickly.]
Hey, you.
[She leaves her datapad on the desk, moving in for a hug.]
I'd say I missed you but it feels like I just saw you not too long ago.
no subject
I mean, you're allowed to? What are you working on?
no subject
Mm. Was going through the med lab inventory, seeing how much needs ordering from the Marsiva - things like that.
[She pulls back after a moment, smiling and letting him go completely.]
I could use a break though so, thanks for coming.
[She gets a better look at him, noting the fact that he doesn't look much changed from home - perhaps there were differences between the two places but he was still 'Carl'. That was a comfort more than anything.]
Want to get a bite to eat in the kitchens?
no subject
Sure, sounds good.
no subject
So how about you - still up to the same work you did last time I was here?
no subject
[ Because it's how the Red Fish rolls, he hops up to sit on the unused portion of countertop. ]
no subject
[Not that being the Medical Officer wasn't. Engineering literally kept the ship going. Maggie sets up the boiling water first, digging through the cupboards for two bowls, forks, and the ingredients they'd need.]

[She only knew him by name, not having had the moment to introduce herself now that she's returned to the fleet.]
no subject
[ He's getting decent at trial and error, now. Although, he knows the Red Fish isn't for everyone, with its permanent blood stains scattered about. Not that they haven't seen their fair share back home. ]
no subject
[It was nice, being able to just have normal conversation that didn't involve the insanity back home.]
It's kinda nice... being back. I guess it's a good thing we forget it. Then we'd have things we might actually miss about the place.
no subject
[ Things are conflicting enough as it is, trying to keep on top of what to remember from where and talk around subjects would be tiring. It's already tiring. Having to do it in front of more people would be absolutely draining. Hard to keep up with the lies. ]
no subject
[Whereas she'd already had the medical skills thanks to her father. Now if she could just forget all the other things that happened back home here, now that would be nice. Losing Glenn was still hard even on a good day. She carried it with her. But putting that to rest for now was on the agenda of the day. She turns back to the noodles she was working on, stirring them. At least they hadn't started to boil over while she had been talking to Carl.]
no subject
[ He'd like to keep his engineering skill, but would rather leave the raids, the cannibal planet, and the like behind. They have enough bloodshed back at home. Carl watches her stir the pot. ]
Do you think the others will come back?
no subject
[Or a close approximation to a life. Drifting from place to place, never really settling to find a home... that wasn't a life. Being stuck on these ships for months on end wasn't a life. It was just, unfortunately, the life they'd been given. It would be nice if Rick or Michonne or Enid and the rest could all be with them. Right now it was just her and Carl.]
It kind of makes me think of when we first got here - remember when we were on the Marsiva? At least this time being split up isn't so bad. I came back remembering this place.
[She stirs the pot once more before setting the spoon aside and turning off the heat.]
