I AM BLAMELESS (arrival)

[ Startled is a good word to describe the look on her face upon suddenly being ported onto the bridge of the Blameless. It takes her a solid ten seconds to fully register what's happening, and that standing there staring like a confused idiot probably isn't going to answer any questions she has.

And she has a lot of questions.

The first and foremost being where is she? Last she knew she was on the Marsiva, trying to go through all the knowledge that had suddenly been thrust upon her when she arrived. Now she was here, uncertain but slightly intrigued by the change in scenery. Eventually, she wills her legs to move forward and start down the hall, peeking into any doors that might be open and calling out. ]

Hello? [ Surely there must be someone here. Curiosity has her still walking aimlessly though, sometimes pressing buttons on doors just to see what they might do (they open the doors. amazing) because this is completely alien to her and it's incredible. ]


Iskaulit (various)

[ YEAH SO. Lioriley is a huge nerd. Huge nerds love books so as soon as she finds out there's a library you can bet that's where she's headed. Chances are high you will find her with a stack of books beside her, around her, or even on top of her because she has no self-control when it comes to devouring any and all knowledge she can get her hands on.

Alternatively, she might be at the Space Bar attempting to (politely) interrogate anyone willing to talk to her. Approaching with a smile and a light in her eyes that should not belong to anyone so unwillingly thrust into a new and odd situation so out of their element. ]

Good evening! [ She thinks it's evening? Uhh. How space work? ] You are a part of the Fleet, yes? Would you be so kind as to indulge me? I have only just arrived and I have — oh, far too many questions to ask at once, but if a few could be answered...

[Though Keith still hasn't turned back to normal, they've settled enough that he isn't afraid 24/7 of him running around the ship with a knife. He'll give him his space sometimes on the Huntress or the Iskaulit as long as he stays put on the ship. And really, Lance adores him, but he needs the time to himself too.

He's noticed the Blameless slowly but surely getting more populated, and that puts a pep in his step. It'd been getting too quiet lately there, which he knew wasn't a conducive atmosphere to Shiro's current state of mind. But with more people, some more noise and activity... Yeah, this would work.

Speaking of new people. As he approaches a door, it opens up right in front of him, and he comes face to face with... Huh.]

Wow, you're pretty. I mean, uh, hi.

Oh! [ She starts. The last 6 doors she opened produced nothing of interest, save for spare sleeping quarters, storage compartments, and whatever else she happened past. None of them had been occupied, and she was starting to think she was alone until right about now. ]

Thank you? [ The compliment is about as startling as someone popping up right in front of her. ] And hello. I — it is nice to meet you. I am sorry if I am ... intruding? [ being rude? Hello?? ]

[The markings, long white hair, and pointed ears really remind him of a certain space princess he used to have a massive crush on. Hence that little blurting out. Even if he's taken now, he can still appreciate someone's good looks, okay. Lance takes a step to the side so she can actually get out of the doorway and puts on a charming smile.]

Nah, you're not! Sorry, I um, I talk before I think sometimes. You're new on the Blameless, yeah?

[ Likewise, she steps to the opposite side to allow him plenty of room to move; her hands folded in front of her. ]

No need for apologies. [ It's not like he said anything bad. ] It would seem that I am. Quite startling, being brought aboard so suddenly. And it is quiet — I almost thought no one was here.

[ She smiles brightly, the lines across her cheeks alighting as she bows her head. ] My name is Lioriley. 'Tis a pleasure to meet you.

[ All Dorian was doing is drinking by himself, so really, the interruption is a welcome one. He replies with a smile of his own, nodding to the empty chair beside him. ]

I shall certainly make an attempt to answer them. How could I say no to such a charming lady?

[ She takes the offered seat with pleased smile creeping across her lips. Charming? She would not go so far, but she certainly will not protest such a compliment either. ]

I am grateful for your willingness to indulge me, ser. I suppose I should start with my name.

[ She nods her head toward him. ] Lioriley.

Dorian of House Pavus, at your service. What questions might I be of assistance in answering? If it is 'who is the most handsome person in this bar' look no further.

[ 'House Pavus', at least the way he says it, sounds noble. She'll have to ask about that later.

She laughs. ] 'Tis good I found an answer for that, at least. I was more curious about your time in the fleet, however. Have you been here long?

(When Alisaie first arrives at the library, it's in pursuit of a certain book she had been told about, so it's only natural she ignores the other inhabitants as she looks for it. She passes by her more than once, her mood souring each time she walks by as what she perceived initially to be a simple task is anything but. Where is it? The book should be in this section, but...

The fourth time she pauses, and walks back towards her. She has an unnecessarily large amount of books around her, perhaps what she is looking for is in that pile?)

Do you intend to read all of those today? (Alisaie leans in a bit to look at the stack, which may very well tower over her too. She's kind of tiny.)

[ It's difficult not to notice the young woman pacing up and down the aisles. Lioriley almost asks if she needs something, but each time she opens her mouth to do so the younger woman vanishes again around a corner. She's well into one of her books by the time Alisaie appears again, speaking this time. ]

Hm? [ She looks up, then to the stack, then back to Alisaie. ] I had intended to try, but it is doubtful that I will. Would you care to take one?

Just one in particular. (A book that has to do with engineering, or something akin to that. Alisaie wasn't giving the individual her fullest attention when she was asking.)

No doubt it's in your pile of books.

(It's very possible she's wrong. After all, there's a lot of people that come and go from the library. Who knows who has checked out a book without formally doing so?)

If you don't mind my looking, that is.

[ The chances are high at any rate. Lioriley sets the book in her hands down and shifts to better allow Alisaie access to the piles around her. ]

I do not mind at all. Do you know what it is called? I could help you look.

[Riona came here to drink and maybe do a bit of sullen brooding. Things haven't exactly been peachy lately and it shows. Or so she thought. Yet this woman suddenly comes up to her and starts talking and asking questions. Riona's not heartless enough to turn her away, even if she wonders if she's the best person for this woman to be talking to at the moment.]

Everyone here is part of the fleet.

[Even if the ship they're on wasn't a part of it originally.]

I'll do my best to answer your questions. [Maaaaybe she should order another drink.]

[ She cants her head to the side curiously, uncertain. Something in the other woman's demeanor seems to suggest she isn't very inclined to indulge company currently. She cannot be certain though, and does not want to assume. Besides, she hasn't turned her away. ]

I will be brief — I do not wish to disturb you for long. I am curious, though, as to how long you have been here?

Two years this month, as luck would have it. There are a few I know of who have been here for longer.

[She wonders who's been here the longest. Perhaps a question for Sokka later.]

[ She nods, silent for a few seconds as she tucks that information away. ] What is the longest you know of?

Wonderful. My first question is simple enough — how long have you been with the fleet?

If I'm doin' the math right? About a year and a half. [ Beat. ] Goddess, I can't believe it's been that long already...

[And when she happens to peek into the kitchen, she finds Shiro getting a cup of tea ready. He turns around when he hears the voice, offering a little smile, especially when he notices the confetti on the... elf? Huh. Something about her reminds him a bit of Allura.]

Hello - welcome to the Blameless. You're a new crew member, aren't you?

[ Hark! Another living creature! Lioriley immediately brightens (literally and figuratively) upon seeing him; and quickly shuffles into the kitchen fully. A nod of her head works for both a greeting and an answer to his question. ]

So it would seem. My name is Lioriley, and it is a pleasure to be welcomed so graciously.

[Oh, that's where the similarities with Allura end, it seems. The glow is surprising, but still nice.]

Nice to meet you too, Lioriley. I'm Shiro, captain and pilot of this ship. [He offers his metal hand to shake.] Do you already know what's going on? Has your augment been explained to you?

[He has been a few days since he had been to the space bar, the library, or had his conversation with the beautiful glowing elf. He is happy to see that she is settling in, she seems to be at least.]

Ah, of course. I will admit that I'm still learning about this place as well.

[It is then that he remembers something. He holds on finger up before he reaches into his bag and pulls out the bird person porn she let him borrow.]

A very interesting read. [He put his notes and thoughts on sticky notes inside it.]

Oh, Zevran! [ In all her excitement she didn't even realize who she was harassing. Before she can say anything else, he silences her with that finger and she is left to just stare, mildly confused.

oh right that. She takes the book with a soft giggle. ]
