Yeah, Justice is never going to tell people that his name is literally Justice. It feels dishonest. But he also doesn't feel quite right telling her to call him Justice, either. He's not sure if he really deserves that title now.
But mortals need something to call him, and 'Justice' is the only moniker he knows.
"Call me Justice." He gives her a short nod in acknowledgment, but he doesn't give her nearly the warm greeting she gives him. He doesn't mean to be rude; he's just awkward. "You can speak to me if you have concerns about the armory or matters of security."
no subject
"Justice, then." She confirms, her smile still present despite his tone. If he doesn't wish to speak to her, she assumes he'll just stop. "I will be sure to do so, though I doubt I will have much use of the armory myself. I am not inclined towards weaponry of any sort - especially that of such advanced technology."
no subject
Justice would normally offer to train her, but he's not sure if he trusts himself to commit to regular contact with a mortal at the moment. Perhaps later, if he can.
"I do not recognize your kind," he says. The way it comes out, it can be taken as incredibly rude, though he only means it as an innocent question. "What are you?"
no subject
His question does come off as rude, but in her six centuries of life it is hardly the worst thing anyone has said to her. She seems more than happy to answer, too. "So it would seem not many do. I am a Lunari from the land of Kilarria." and to skip ahead, to where she assumes this line of questioning might go: "We are a race born of magic, gifted to us by Spirits that once roamed the northern lands. The magic is the reason I glow as I do." Another common question. She wiggles her fingers slightly as if to emphasize the leylines that curve around them.

Justice does not want to know what would happen if spirits just handed magic out to mortals when they felt like it. It seems like a disaster waiting to happen, especially since demons could do it too.
"Are you a mage, then?"
no subject
She nods. "I am. What of you?" She has yet to meet another mage, but she won't get her hopes up.
no subject
“I am no mage. I know many in the Fleet, however.” It would be incorrect to say he doesn’t have magic of some sort, but ‘mage’ is a specific word for magic mortals. “None of them are Lunari. They are humans or elves.”
no subject
She smiles, wholly unsurprised that no others of her kind have arrived — or at least made themselves known. "Race matters not. I am always excited to meet other magic users, though. The magic of other worlds may very well be drastically different from what I am used to."
no subject
"I am certain it is. I have already met many mages whose magic behaves differently than I am used to." The biggest thing being that their magic comes from inside of themselves, rather than the Fade. It's weird to watch someone perform magic and not hear the Fade singing.
no subject
"How does magic behave where you are from?" She knows of her way; of gathering the power from within her very being and expending it as she sees fit. She knows too the ways of the other races — stealing from other living creatures, simply learning the magic and harnessing it, the list goes on.

At least they do when they aren't pushed through the Veil by blood magic, Justice thinks.
no subject
"Can mages that arrive here still gain access to the Fade? Would it hinder their abilities if they could not?" How unfortunate.

"That is good to hear. I would hate to think anyone here was suffering from being so far removed from it."
