[holy shit you guys there is a planet, like, an actual planet now. what are you gonna do? get out and look? marvel at the locals? search for aliens? stand around your ship and questioning every life choice you've made up until this point? hang around in orbit because planets are for squares?

this is mostly for early stuff, so please feel free to make your own posts in the next couple of weeks with more planet (or station, or ship!) shenanigans.]

[this is nice! this is definitely what he wanted. he will forgive being shot in the face.]

I'm pretty sure the nature of our arrangement precluded me from owing you anything.

[see? it was a great idea. he's fixed everything. especially if they never talk about it.]

What did I just say about arguing? Honestly...

[he rolls his eyes...]

I should say you owe me twice, for the number of holes you put in my head.

Wouldn't you rather I take you out to dinner because I want to, and not because I owe you?

[as he raises an eyebrow skeptically...]

Not if you're going to make it weird.

[he bumps him a little. a cute little shove. :3c]

Two new worlds, and you're still a huge pain...

[he shifts his weight with it, leaning a little more when he returns to his centered place]

Oh please. You're one to talk.

[ew. he stoops just so that he can press his cheek into Tek's arm.]

I won't make it weird.

[gross. he nods toward the center of town.]

Then, where would you like to go? Lead the way.

Everywhere seems about the same, unfortunately...

[he separates from Tek a little while he thinks... it's not like there's a whole lot of variety in the food or the setting... or the quality...]

There's one with a nice view, though. I'll lead.

A nice view of desert or of town?

[he sounds skeptical of either, really. the whole place is pretty ugly to him.]

Okay, it's a better view. Of the town.

[but he'll take him that way anyway.]

[he seems satisfied with this. people-watching is pretty great.]

Their faces are nice, at least.

[and then he tips his head back so he can smile at Robin]

...I almost dressed up to match, you know.

[it's a nice look on him...]

[he lifts his free hand to mimic drawing little lines along his own mouth]

Just a little bit. Not quite so garish as they have it, of course.

Oh, of course. You'd look very mysterious...

[it'd be pretty cute, he thinks. his eyes would glow nicely against dark circles...]

The prettiest skeleton in town.

[it would be super cute. he's sure of it now.]

It's been a while since there has been a crowd worth blending into.

Yeah, I'll give it that. This crowd is already better than the last few we've been around...

[including, perhaps, the future. he tugs him gently to the side, pulling him into a place that doesn't look all that much different than the others--but it's good food and booze and an upstairs balcony that looks like it might even be made of wood in some places.]

[as promised, he takes the lead once they're inside, making it pretty clear that he's intending on treating.

the balcony area seems nice. he'll head them there.]

[how sweet. he's so used to leading that it feels very strange to stand back and let someone else do all of the arranging. once they get up to the balcony, he immediately hones in on a table to his liking and pulls up a chair for himself.

they've got a good view, if you like gross space settlements. at least the festivities are interesting.]

[he takes a minute once they're settled to lean and look out the window, smiling. he seems like he's enjoying the view.

but looks can be deceiving.]

...I never thought I'd say this, but I miss the tower.

[Robin looks like he's enjoying himself, if nothing else. he leans on the table, propping his face up on his arm like he does. he's happy to indulge Tek's complaints.]

Why do you say that?

There was a city. And trees. And the people weren't orange.

[he has priorities.]
