[Wanda's idly toying with what looks like a bright blue apple while she talks. Welcome to life in space, apparently. She's both intrigued and not quite sure she trusts it, like many of the things here. But at least Drade, strange as it is, is open. She doesn't particularly care for confined spaces like the ships.]

I have only been here a little while and already I hear so many stories about the mists. If you've gone exploring, what did you see?

[She's sure someone must have, especially given some of the whispers she's heard of treasure. That doesn't appeal to her as much, but she is curious. And more than a little weirded out. Mist that can drive someone to madness? It's not the same thing at all, not really, but it does feel unsettlingly close to home.]

[Kitty is surprised and happy to see the familiar face again, but also not so sure how familiar she'll actually be. How many people has she met from worlds adjacent to her own at this point who didn't know her at all or knew very different versions of her or had never even heard of mutants?]

...Is not what I saw in the mist. Haven't really gone out to play in the creepy fog.

[That's genuine recognition and happiness, and yet Wanda is drawing a complete blank. She's seen a lot of new faces over the past several days, but that's not it, either. She knows her name.

[She tries to tuck the disappointment away, outside her expression. As per usual, she sucks at it. She gives a shake of her head.]

I guess not.

I'm Kitty. I don't know how much you've heard about this place or what home is like for you, so this might sound strange, but I knew a version of you. Here. So, if I'm the first, I probably won't be the last. [Then again with the turnover...]

[She seemed so happy to see her...and that's not something Wanda's really used to.]

We are on an intergalactic reality show. Everything is strange. [She manages a wry smile.] Is this normal here?

Don't be. [Definitely not Wanda's fault and it's still good to see her provided she isn't an evil version or something, but so far so good. She's inclined to think the best even if she's heard alarming things about Erik and Logan and met a good version of Hank since she's been here. She gives the other woman a soft smile that looks more amused as she finishes.]

Good point. It's definitely normal for here. My life was pretty strange before I got here, but this place still finds ways to surprise me.

[Sam hasn't gone out in the mists, but he can't pass up the opportunity to say hello to a familiar face. He gives her a friendly wave.]

Can't say I've been exploring much here. Being grounded isn't my thing, you know?

[Hopefully not just bad ways, though they're definitely not starting off in the best place with the kidnapping and all.]

Yes. [She gives a little smirk.] And everything in between. I was friends with a talking pony who could bake. You don't get that a lot back home even with shapeshifters around.

[She'll wave back, torn between being happy to see a familiar face and upset that her friends are trapped here too.]

I didn't know you were here. Have you been all right?

Been here for almost a year now, so I'm all right as I can be, I guess.

[He pauses for a moment, then adds:]

There's, uh, another me here, too. But he's cool.

I haven't made my way over there yet. Seems like looking for trouble.

The pony? No idea. Some of them do magic, but I think you have to be a unicorn? Honestly, I'm uncomfortable even knowing as much as I do. There's a certain amount of accepting the ridiculous to be done.

Not much to see. That mist is pretty thick - more like fog than anything.

It reminds me of stories from home about monsters and witches living in the forest. But it seems like it's more than a story. [She shrugs.] I am not sure I want to see it, but I still want to know.

I wasn't a fan of the mist, to be honest. I'm sure there's a way to get around it but telepaths and psychotropic agents don't really mix and I'd rather be up here away from it.

( Jean doesn't want to risk accidentally broadcasting a nightmare to the whole Fleet or who knows what because she's not careful. )

[There's no point in trying to hide it here, is there? Not when the galaxy is watching. And if Wanda's honest, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to not feel so alone.]

( Jean squints at the other woman for a moment, assessing her. Another telepath? That's...interesting. Really interesting. )
