[Wanda's idly toying with what looks like a bright blue apple while she talks. Welcome to life in space, apparently. She's both intrigued and not quite sure she trusts it, like many of the things here. But at least Drade, strange as it is, is open. She doesn't particularly care for confined spaces like the ships.]

I have only been here a little while and already I hear so many stories about the mists. If you've gone exploring, what did you see?

[She's sure someone must have, especially given some of the whispers she's heard of treasure. That doesn't appeal to her as much, but she is curious. And more than a little weirded out. Mist that can drive someone to madness? It's not the same thing at all, not really, but it does feel unsettlingly close to home.]

[Kitty is surprised and happy to see the familiar face again, but also not so sure how familiar she'll actually be. How many people has she met from worlds adjacent to her own at this point who didn't know her at all or knew very different versions of her or had never even heard of mutants?]

...Is not what I saw in the mist. Haven't really gone out to play in the creepy fog.

[That's genuine recognition and happiness, and yet Wanda is drawing a complete blank. She's seen a lot of new faces over the past several days, but that's not it, either. She knows her name.

...this place is weird.]

I'm sorry? Have we met?

[She tries to tuck the disappointment away, outside her expression. As per usual, she sucks at it. She gives a shake of her head.]

I guess not.

I'm Kitty. I don't know how much you've heard about this place or what home is like for you, so this might sound strange, but I knew a version of you. Here. So, if I'm the first, I probably won't be the last. [Then again with the turnover...]

[Sam hasn't gone out in the mists, but he can't pass up the opportunity to say hello to a familiar face. He gives her a friendly wave.]

Can't say I've been exploring much here. Being grounded isn't my thing, you know?

Sam!

[She'll wave back, torn between being happy to see a familiar face and upset that her friends are trapped here too.]

I didn't know you were here. Have you been all right?

[wingedman]

Been here for almost a year now, so I'm all right as I can be, I guess.

[He pauses for a moment, then adds:]

There's, uh, another me here, too. But he's cool.

[ Sara replies, arching an eyebrow at Wanda's question ]

I haven't made my way over there yet. Seems like looking for trouble.

It reminds me of stories from home about monsters and witches living in the forest. But it seems like it's more than a story. [She shrugs.] I am not sure I want to see it, but I still want to know.

Have you gotten any good stories about it yet? I haven't decided what I'll do.

Maybe a familiar face. [A familiar voice, a wry half smile. Natasha appears in video, the view behind her safely clear.] I can't say I've been curious enough to explore too deeply.

[Wanda can imagine better than most what kinds of 'familiar faces' she might be referring to.]

Not much to see. That mist is pretty thick - more like fog than anything.

[Hey, she's pretty sure she recognizes him...but she also did book it off the ship as soon as she could.]

Are all of the planets you visit so strange?

I wasn't a fan of the mist, to be honest. I'm sure there's a way to get around it but telepaths and psychotropic agents don't really mix and I'd rather be up here away from it.

( Jean doesn't want to risk accidentally broadcasting a nightmare to the whole Fleet or who knows what because she's not careful. )

[Okay, you've got her full, undivided attention.]

You're a telepath? There are others here?

[There's no point in trying to hide it here, is there? Not when the galaxy is watching. And if Wanda's honest, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to not feel so alone.]

[His accent is extremely thick and extremely Russian. That might give away the reason for his interest.]

[She says it like she absolutely expects him to know what that is.]

[Now here's someone Thor hasn't seen in quite a while. It's getting close to three years now. The video feed flips on and while Thor looks markedly different from the last time Wanda saw him - the short hair and eye patch aren't exactly subtle - his attitude remains much the same.]

A lot of mist, mostly, and one great beast worthy of the legends told about it. [A beat.] Until I kick its ass.

It's good to see you.

[Wanda doesn't even quite recognize him until she hears his voice. Oh...oh no.]

They really are collecting us. [But Wanda smiles - she likes Thor and she's glad to see him despite the circumstances.]

...you changed your hair.

Haven't gone myself, but my ship's captain went in and came back with a big old alien dog that's part garbage disposal.

[ That he already adores, even if he's pretending like he doesn't. He hesitates for a moment, not quite looking at her. ]

...hey. I'm, uh. Not the Sam you know, but it's good to see you.

It's good to see you too.

[Wanda smiles warmly. Sam is Sam, and this one even has the other's endorsement.

...although he's committed the cardinal sin of mentioning a dog without showing her.]

Do you have pictures of the dog yet?

Mist.

[ He wishes he was sorry. ]

That must have been disappointing.

[You might even say she's mist the point of his comment.]

[ It's a voice he hasn't heard in a long time, and it's definitely a welcome one. There's a chance she won't remember her previous time here, because it happens, so he's not going to assume.

Instead, he offers the bit of knowledge he does have on the situation. ]

All the accounts sound essentially the same- wear a heavier gas mask if you're thinking about wandering past the coast, especially if you go below. The mist supposedly has the effect of hallucinations. [ He's not about all that nonsense, to be honest. ] But there's something down below. Something big. Apparently the rewards you reap for sticking your neck out are worth it.

[Even if Nat hadn't warned her there were two of them, she'd know that face. Any psychic who's spent any substantial length of time around Steve would. He just looks different than the last time she'd seen him in Steve's memory, but given the circumstances, that's a good thing.]

It sounds very strange. Sam said his captain came back with a dog. [And to be fair, it's a cute dog, but not exactly the kind of treasure all the rumors would suggest.] If the mist causes hallucinations it would probably be best for everyone if I stay here...but it was hard not to wonder.
