[One afternoon Manji opens up his communicator.] Kogarasumaru! [He speaks with confidence that he probably shouldn't have.] You remember our fight, right? Well, I'm ready if you are. Shall I meet you at your dojo or somewhere on this junk of a planet? [Thanks to this thread Manji has a fight to pick. He could just call Kogarasumaru out privately, but he hasn't figured out how to do that just yet.]

Action: Junker Racing

[You know what else Manji can do that's really dumb? Try driving a car in a junker race with one arm. How hard can driving a car be when the most advance transportation you've ever driven was a horse?

And-- opps, yup. He's just crashed. In a spectacular fashion. Good thing he's immortal? Still, he may need a hand out of that wreckage.]

No more playing. We should use steel this time. [Even knowing he's likely to lose Manji is getting exciting for this.]

Then the planet, please. I would like to be sure my dojo is not cut apart with real blades.

[Obviously he has no problem with the change. Shows no signs of hesitation.]

I suppose you wish to challenge me now?

Works for me. I don't care where we fight. There are a bunch of arenas down here. [As he's already on the planet.] We can fight in one not being used. [And possibly grow a crowd, but that's not why Manji suggested it. He's honestly just focused on the convince side.]

Of course I wish to challenge you now. Unless you want to back out. [Please back out. It's the only way he can painlessly save what little pride he has.]

[It will be about two hours later, but eventually Manji will find one and broadcast the location out to everyone. He really should learn how to make things private one day.]

[Well that's easy to find. And he notes with amusement that it's public again. Really this boy is adorable.

Still, he shows up with his sword and wearing his battle attire. Looking around, he takes note of the arena they're in before settling his gaze on Manji.]

A fine location you have picked.

[Manji found the clearest arena he could get that was free. There were a few bits of bigger debris that they could jump off of or run around, but mostly nice empty spaces for a proper fright.

Manji is dressed in his usual black and white kimono as he stands in the middle with an excited grin on his face. He knew this was going to hurt, but it was also going to be a lot of fun.] It'll do.

So, you know my secret. I'm pretty hard to kill. Just don't chop off my head. [Because Kogarasumaru easily could if he wanted to and Manji knows this.] What about you? Are ya' like a human and will die like one if you're cut up too much? [Not that Manji thinks he'll land a hit today, but he's talking tough and just in case he gets lucky. He's not looking to kill anyone today.]

You will not cut me.

[It almost sounds like he's taunting him. In a way, perhaps he is. However, he smiles at him as he steps closer, bare feet seeming to make no sound as he does.]

I am a sword though. I break if damaged too heavily.

Yeah, we'll see about that; now won't we? [Manji widens his stance as he gets ready to fight and charge forward.] Ready?

[He'll wait just long enough for Kogarasumaru to give a affirmative answer. The very moment Manji hears it he'll be rushing forward and drawing his blade to strike.]

I am.

[He doesn't draw his sword right away though. Instead, he waits until Manji is charging him before waiting until the last possible moment to dodge to the side.]

Your movements are too open, Manji. They are easy to read.

Are they? [Manji didn't expect anything less. If this was easy he was going to be disappointed. He turns quickly on his heel his arm raising his sword to swing again, only when he gets halfway through his turn he drops his blade. It may seem strange to do, but it's so he can reach into his kimono and grab a throwing knife. He tries to wait until the last possible second to drop his sword in exchange for the throwing knife; curious to see if Kogarasumaru can predict this move.]

[It's clever but he knows that if a swordsman drops a blade there is a reason for it. Which is why he draws his own sword and actually dances to the side again with the sword at the ready. When he sees the flash of metal, he brings his sword around so he can counter the throw.] They are.

Damn. That move was a lot easier with two arms. [He's not trying to make an excuse. More just a general complaint over his missing arm as he scoops up his dropped sword.

He moves in quickly yet again only this time trying not to think ahead of time what his attack will be. Deciding suddenly as he gets closer not to swing, but instead to sweep out with his leg in an attempt to trip Kogarasumaru. Leaving his sword ready to block if he needs to.]

[The little crow jumps over the leg and then dances back out of the way, ever encouraging Manji to come for him.] That was better. Your fight should be in your soul rather than your mind.

[And he tilts his head.] Come again.

Ah, I hate that whishy washy crap. [Manji tries for a quick jab this time.] Mind, soul. Makes no difference. Just gotta live through the fight.

[He laughs softly then ducks low quickly to move under his arm and appear behind him again. This time to actually attack. A jab of his sword into Manji's back.]

SHII- [Manji isn't entirely sure where Kogarasumaru is going to strike from and takes a wild guess that it will be his back. He quickly stumbles forward just in time to miss getting cut by the crow's blade. For now.

Manji remembers how fast Kogarasumaru can be and doesn't even bother turning around. Instead he attempts to jab his sword behind him without even looking. Something he may not normally do when fighting someone he didn't want to hurt, but he's not really expecting to hit anything.]

[He doesn't. Kogarasumaru has already moved. This time it's to the side where he ducks low again for a swipe at his legs. Something he has to be up close for due to the short length of his blade.

After all, he may be a tachi but he's also very small.]

[Of course it's the legs. It's always the legs. Manji decides to do something he's never done before. Instead of trying to avoid the attack to his legs he just throws himself fully at Kogarasumaru. His plan to take his attacker down with him and perhaps getting some distance if they both have to get up again.]

[Oh. He will have to give Manji credit for this move. It forces him to have to get out of the way fast.

Grey eyes wide, he kicks off the ground to bounce away a few feet. After all, there is a disadvantage that he knows he has here. It's that he's very, very small. He may be sturdier than the average human but he knows he isn't necessarily stronger than most.]

[Manji lets himself continue to fall forward even after Kogarasumaru gets out of his way. Curling and moving into a somersault so he can use his momentum to quickly jump back up to his feet with a huge grin.]

I may not have been quick enough, but admit it! I surprised you with that one!

This father was indeed surprised. That is something no one has ever tried before on me.

[He shifts to get in position again. This time there's an edge to his eyes. Almost a sort of excitement. He's finding himself looking forward to this. It should be a great deal more fun than he expected.

He may be a treasure but he's also a sword. He loves to be able to be used in combat. Even if it's for sparring.]

[Manji gives his shoulders a quick roll as he bounces on his toes with excitement.] Yeah, now you look like you're taking this a bit more seriously! [He holds up his hand and still clutching his weapon he waggles his index finger enticing Kogarasumaru to charge him.] Come on. Let's go. [He's not been fast enough to hit Kogarasumaru when he's charged forward so lets see if this changes things.]

[He smiles a little more at him before dashing forward and then jumping into the air to make it easier to slash high. He's fast and deadly. Well, deadly to anyone not immortal like Manji.

And he doesn't stop there. After that slash, he drops down low to make another at his stomach.]

[Manji smiles as Kogarasumaru starts to charge forward, enjoying the trill of battle. The smile doesn't last very long as he needs to stay focused. Manji is just fast enough to keep up with the smaller man as he jumps into the air. He blocks the first blow with his sword, but he's not fast enough to completely block the second attack.

The tip of Kogarasumaru's blade digs into Manji's stomach as Manji fails to completely parry the attack in time. He's at least fast enough that even if he wasn't immortal he likely wouldn't die from that attack, but it still hurt. He jumps back with a hiss and a wince.] UGH!

[Manji isn't done yet even though blood has now been split. Once he has enough of his breath back he goes back onto the offensive. Rushing forward and swinging a bit wildly in an attempt to not be predictable.]
