broadcast intro and action
Who: Veronica
Broadcast: open network
Action: Iskaulit and Blue Fish
When: network - friday. action - saturday
Broadcast / Action to anyone on the Marsiva
[Veronica wakes with a distinct feeling of wrongness. The camera zooms in as blue eyes open, a frown already on her face. She sits up slowly, the covers falling off and pooling at her hips to reveal she's in standard Garrison uniform, the typical attire of an officer. Rubbing at her face, she looks to the side to spot her glasses and quickly jams them on.
Her frown deepens.] Where...am I...?
[Veronica slides out of bed, to find her shoes tucked neatly beside the bed. Frowning at them, she goes barefoot for now, instead running down the hallway and feeling cold metal under her feet.]
Hello? Is anyone there?
Action - Iskaulit & Blue Fish
[Veronica can be found wandering the Iskaulit and the S.S. Blue Fish restlessly. She's a hot mess of emotions, unsure how to deal with everything that is going on right now, and her first priority is just to become familiar with her surroundings. Most everything she would be interested in is on the Iskaulit, it seems, so this is where she starts.
She'll most often be pacing, but if you're lucky, you might catch her frowning and poking at her communicator, trying to make it function in some way like what she's used to. She wants more information, maybe this can help.]

Good evening, darling.
[She seemed surprised. Like she'd never seen a proper English gentleman before. Also he doesn't really know the time; he's just never awake during the day so he has no reason to use any other greeting]
Are you well? This place really does seem to get one's humors out of sync.
no subject
She's certainly never met anyone like him, that's for certain. Maybe this place isn't so bad.]
Oh, no, you're right. My...humors are definitely...out of sync. [Whatever that means.] I'm Veronica.
[She offers a hand, intending to shake.]
no subject
I suppose it is not as bad for daylight folk, but still, unexpected travel. I am Lord Akeldama.
no subject
Lord...Akeldama. [She hopes she's saying it right.] It's a pleasure.
no subject
Yes, darling. That is correct. The pleasure is all mine.
[He releases her hands]
If you would like to look, you are more than welcome I'd assume. There was nothing that stopped me, but it was all mechanical bits and pieces. Not a single living soul.
[Referring to the medical lab at the end of the hall]
no subject
Nothing alive? Hm. [She frowns a bit.] I can't even imagine the amount of tech that must go into...summoning people from the multiverse, and to do it without a physical being controlling it? Incredible. I don't like it, but I'm impressed.
no subject
[He completely agrees it's not good to make enemies at this time. Not that he actively made too many of those. Enemies did happen for vampires as old as him though]
no subject
You have...dirigibles? Those are like blimps, right?
no subject
[He demonstrates with his hands the general idea of a large balloon, oblong shaped and longer than it is tall]
And it has a passenger basket suspended from cage that holds it. These are usually quite large on the commercial versions, with dining rooms and sleeping quarters.
[So yes... a blimp if he knew the word]
no subject
Yes, exactly! That's incredible. Your world sounds so different from mine. This mind seem like a silly question, but...is everything steam powered?
no subject
[He smiles and she might be able to see that his canine teeth look... unusually long]
Well, not everything. It is a very popular method though, along with coal, oil, horse.... We believe there was something not too long ago about wind powered tea kettles for dirigible travel. Can you believe such a thing.
no subject
Wind powered tea kettles? But wouldn't the wind cool the tea down?
no subject
[Frivolous because he couldn't float at all to see it in action and how was one to test otherwise since its not like you could attach a stove to the outside of a dirigible for a comparison]
no subject
She hasn't even been here long, and she's already overwhelmed by the strangeness. There's no comforting data to scroll through, no solid facts and numbers to at least help her make sense of this, and her laughter turns to insensible half-laughing, half-sobbing out of confusion and stress.]
no subject
But he's not one to ignore someone being emotionally. He immediately comes over, putting his rather cold hand over hers]
I know, my dear. This is hardly fair. We are both lost in the place because of someone else's decisions.
no subject
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... [Another deep breath.] I'm okay.
no subject
Quite all right, my dear. Quite all right. Things like that do help. Another thing that may help? Tea. It does have so many restorative properties. Should we try to find some?
[He's trying to be helpful and make this whole thing seem more civilized]
