[Veronica wakes with a distinct feeling of wrongness. The camera zooms in as blue eyes open, a frown already on her face. She sits up slowly, the covers falling off and pooling at her hips to reveal she's in standard Garrison uniform, the typical attire of an officer. Rubbing at her face, she looks to the side to spot her glasses and quickly jams them on.

Her frown deepens.] Where...am I...?

[Veronica slides out of bed, to find her shoes tucked neatly beside the bed. Frowning at them, she goes barefoot for now, instead running down the hallway and feeling cold metal under her feet.]

Hello? Is anyone there?

Action - Iskaulit & Blue Fish
[Veronica can be found wandering the Iskaulit and the S.S. Blue Fish restlessly. She's a hot mess of emotions, unsure how to deal with everything that is going on right now, and her first priority is just to become familiar with her surroundings. Most everything she would be interested in is on the Iskaulit, it seems, so this is where she starts.

She'll most often be pacing, but if you're lucky, you might catch her frowning and poking at her communicator, trying to make it function in some way like what she's used to. She wants more information, maybe this can help.]

[He will give her a little bow.]

[The bow has her a bit flustered, and so she just sort of...salutes. Yep.]

Veronica, at your service, Professor.

[Oh god. What is she doing?]

I'm currently one of the Engineers on the Blameless.

Oh, I see. That must be interesting work. I'm just tactical support at the moment.

[sandywolf]

I was not aware this was a position available on the ships here. What exactly is the scope of it, if I may ask?

[Because that sounds interesting. That sounds like what he normally does in his werewolf pack, of sorts.]

[itsyagirl]

Honestly, I'm still sort of...figuring that bit out. [She smiles sheepishly.] Right now, I'm more gathering information about how everything works. It's sort of what I did back home as an analyst.

[sandywolf]

Maybe we should think of having someone play that role on our ship as well then.

[Nevermind that Lyall basically does that almost all the time, because when you've spent years being a professional snoop, you can't just turn it off.]

Which ship have you been assigned to?

[itsyagirl]

It seems like it could be useful, once I work out what I'm supposed to do, anyway.

Oh! Well, right now I'm assigned to the Blue Fish, but my brother is trying to get me transferred to be on the same ship as him. The Huntress, I think.

[sandywolf]

You have family here?

[He doesn't think many people do. He's heard of a few brother/sister pair, but it's not common.]

I do. Just my brother, Lance. I think he's a pilot. Do you know him?

[sandywolf]

I believe so. He is an acquaintance of Captain Shiro, is he not? And my Lord also knows him and appreciates his company.
