Broadcast / Action to anyone on the Marsiva
[Veronica wakes with a distinct feeling of wrongness. The camera zooms in as blue eyes open, a frown already on her face. She sits up slowly, the covers falling off and pooling at her hips to reveal she's in standard Garrison uniform, the typical attire of an officer. Rubbing at her face, she looks to the side to spot her glasses and quickly jams them on.

Her frown deepens.] Where...am I...?

[Veronica slides out of bed, to find her shoes tucked neatly beside the bed. Frowning at them, she goes barefoot for now, instead running down the hallway and feeling cold metal under her feet.]

Hello? Is anyone there?

Action - Iskaulit & Blue Fish
[Veronica can be found wandering the Iskaulit and the S.S. Blue Fish restlessly. She's a hot mess of emotions, unsure how to deal with everything that is going on right now, and her first priority is just to become familiar with her surroundings. Most everything she would be interested in is on the Iskaulit, it seems, so this is where she starts.

She'll most often be pacing, but if you're lucky, you might catch her frowning and poking at her communicator, trying to make it function in some way like what she's used to. She wants more information, maybe this can help.]

I've been here a bit over a year and a half. [And he doesn't sound happy about it, to say the least.] The contestants for this cycle started arriving around four years ago, but there aren't many of the original arrivals left. Most of them are gone... in theory, back to their home worlds.

[itsyagirl]

Four years... [She shakes her head slowly, frowning. Veronica definitely isn't pleased by this news either.]

What do we...do, sir? [Whoops, there she goes again.]

[padadin]

Shiro. [He corrects her again. Not because he's offended (how could he?), but because it makes him wonder about things at home, and that's one dangerous line to go down to.] For now, we wait. Sadly, there isn't much we can do. We've tried escaping with the ships and cracking the Marsiva open to get inside with no luck. But we've been hunting for information when the opportunity presented, and we now have a network of our own safe from our captors' attention. Baby steps.

[itsyagirl]

Ah-- I'm sorry, I said it again, didn't I? Old habits. [She rubs the back of her head, looking a little sheepish, but also still definitely looking to Shiro for some guidance here. She feels a bit out of her depth. At least on Earth, she knew the terrain.]

Baby steps. [Veronica lets out a soft sigh, then nods.] I suppose we have to start from somewhere.

[padadin]

Somewhere indeed. Patience yields focus.

[Except he isn't feeling very patient right now, because those words she's said won't leave his mind. From how long into the future is she? Because-- he shouldn't ask. And yet...]

What do you mean "old habits"? [Yeah, ok, he's weak. Sue him.]

[Oh, oops. Veronica bites her lip, hesitating. How much is too much? She knows from Lance that there shouldn't be any consquences on the timeline, but she doesn't want to say something that'll upset the team.

She shifts uncomfortably.]

Just that...on Earth, when you get there, you're Captain Shiro.

[padadin]

[On Earth. They make it to Earth! And-

Wait.

What?

Shiro can't help staring.] ...Captain?

[Sorry, he's in shock right now.]
