( It seems that Sansa has quite a bit to make up for after having been gone for several moons and she means to start doing so as soon as she's cleared from quarantine. She unfortunately has nothing to wear aside from the jumpsuits provided to passengers as soon as they arrive in the Fleet and none of her fine things from before are still around. It's a bit disconcerting, yes, but she can at least make her hair look nice even if the rest of her is a lost cause. She hails Tyrion before coming over, not wanting to drop in unexpectedly, and finds her way to his quarters. )

I'm sorry I don't have anything better to wear but as soon as we get to a system where I can buy fabric, I intend to work on new gowns. For now, though, you get this.

( It's such a small thing to be hung up on but she's hung up on it nonetheless. One should look their best when trying to make amends. )

There is never enough joy in my life, I'm afraid. Hopefully more now that I am here in this place where joy is possible than in Westeros where joy seems to turn to ashes in my hands.

( It's much easier to be in the Fleet, Sansa realizes, and she feels a bit of a coward for seeking it out. It's been so long since she's had an easy life. )

I would prefer for us to find happiness far from both places - but I will concede to the lesser of two evils.

[He offers her his hand, as he often did before she left, smiling.]

So what would make you happy right now, lady wife?

Right this very moment? Well, I wouldn't be opposed to a bit of...I think cuddling is a downright ridiculous word but it's the only appropriate one.

( Gods, but that's downright embarrassing to say out loud. )

[He blinks at that, before he smiles once more.] I am not sure how much cuddling one can do upright, but I shall see what I can do.

[He opened his arms to her, giving her a hopeful little look.]

If you think we'd find it easier on a couch or something, I'm sure we could find one.

( Sansa's never had the chance at all to do this so she has no idea how it properly goes. )

Where do you think the best venue would be?

Hmmm ... I think I could manage to find us a settee.

[He hopped off his stool, and offers her a hand, before he snorts softly.]

It is usually best in bed - but let us not get ahead of ourselves, eh?

It's not as if we haven't shared a bed before, Tyrion. We slept in the same bed in King's Landing even if nothing happened in it.

( Sansa only wants him to be comfortable - anything they do in this realm is going to be new territory for her but if he's more comfortable going about it a certain way, well. Far be it from her to restrict his options. Sansa takes his hand and squeezes it a bit. )

But we could settle for a settee for now, if you'd like.

[tallasaking]

My darling wife - we never shared a bed where you wanted me to touch you. At all. I think I shall remove the temptation and put us on a settee.

[Tyrion knows all too well he might get carried in a bed, and beautiful Sansa before him. So to be the gentleman she wished him to be -- he would keep his cuddling to completely innocent.]

You do have a fair point. Perhaps we should start with the settee until I become accustomed to the fine art of cuddling. Which, by the way, is a rather ridiculous word.

( It does conjure feelings of warmth and familiarity, though, and that brings a smile to her face. )

I am sure there is a more mature and appropriate word for it, but since warm affection seems a bit stilted, we shall have to make do.

[Yes, he is making a straight face. Such a completely straight face. Even as he leads her to the Entertainment Area and finds the appropriately sized sofa.]

( Sansa, for her part, is giggling. It's such a girlish thing to do and she's not done it in so long that it feels almost unnatural. She settles on the sofa and pats the space beside her. )

Cuddling seems much more intimate to me. Come, sit with me?

[tallasaking]

[He climbed right up with her, without hesitation. He curled up with her, taking her hand and pressing to her side.]

I shall gladly sit with you.

( This is new for Sansa, just sharing space like this, but she cannot say she doesn't enjoy it. On the contrary, it's nice to spend time with someone she knows wants to spend time just for her - and not what she can offer them in exchange so far as lands and holdings are concerned. )

Why have I never done this before? I seem to forget the reason.

[tallasaking]

[He has his eyes closed in contentment, just enjoying the warmth of her, the sweet smell of her hair, when she asks her question. A smirk slips over his face.]

Because most men are scum and do not deserve you.

Possibly, but I think you may have a higher opinion of me than is warranted. I don't mind it, though.

( Right now, Sansa feels safe, secure and warm and these are things she hasn't felt in a long while. It's a good feeling. She lifts one of his hands and brushes her lips against it. )

[tallasaking]

[He opens one eye to look at her, the green one, giving her a sardonic look.]

Possibly, but I will ask you to remember all the other women I know from our world have questionable morality. You are cold, but you are honest. Even in your manipulations.

[He smiles wryly.] Even my Queen has a streak of viciousness to her. You are next to her in my estimation, so ... I think I admire you just enough for you to feel flustered.

[He cracks a smile at the kiss, and brings over her hand to return it, beard tickling her skin.]

Well, I am no queen. I am merely Lady of Winterfell. Quite a long way from sitting the Iron Throne, I assure you of that. Still, there is something I must ask you.

( Sansa distracts herself for a moment by leaning in and kissing along Tyrion's temple, then his jaw, and breaks away to look at him. )

Does Cersei Lannister not sit the Iron Throne in your Westeros anymore? Has Daenerys Targaryen overthrown her?

In the game of thrones that we are playing, you are still a queen on the board.

[He arched up a lazy smile as she kissed his temple, then his jaw. He looks up at her, before he takes up her hand to kiss her fingers.]

Not yet. She is still across the Sea, with her dragons.

She's at Dragonstone in my version of the world. You're with her. My brother's gone south to treat with you.

( Sansa tips her eyes closed and sighs a bit, enjoying the feel of Tyrion's lips against her fingers. She'd had no idea how nice this could be until she experienced it for herself and now she thinks she won't be able to stop. )

Just now, though, I'd like to be the only queen on the board.

[tallasaking]

Well, that seems very smart of him. I bet you are the one who convinced him to do it.

[As it would be the smart play. He paused in his kisses, before kissing the palm of her hand.]

You are the only Queen on my board.

I told him you weren't like other Lannisters. That you were good and kind and were to be trusted.

( Sansa looks at him then, truly, and bites her lower lip slightly. She might not have had much love in her life up until this point but she knows how to ask for things - or at least she hopes she does. )

Might...you kiss me properly?

[tallasaking]

Sansa Stark ... my blushes. You keep saying things like that and I might start to think you are fond of me.

[He flutters his eyelashes at her, but it is clear on his face that he is undeniably touched by her assessment of his character. Her question, though, swept away the fluffy feelings and moved right to a bolt of lust. He looks at her, for a long moment, and swallows.]

...Yes. However. You must pinch me if I am going too far, too fast for you.

I've never had a proper kiss so I don't know how far is too far for me. I'll let you know if it's too much, though.

( The only kisses Sansa has had have been loveless and only symbols of marriages she hadn't wanted. This is something different - something she's asked for herself. )

That shall be ... acceptable.

[By the Seven he truly hoped he did not do that he usually did - and fuck this up beyond repair. He leaned up, so he could cup her cheek, and pressed his mouth lightly but firmly to hers. Waiting to see what she would do, before he proceeded.]

( The kiss is actually quite nice, even if it's shallow yet, and Sansa parts her lips a bit to try and deepen the kiss a bit. Nothing is wrong yet though Sansa feels her heart in her throat a bit; she's quite nervous. )
