NETWORK BROADCAST ▹ VIDEO;

[ Jim's staring seriously at the camera as the broadcast begins, concern visible on his features. He might be easily recognizable to most everyone on the Fleet, but as soon as he starts talking, it will become obvious that he is not the same man, or at least not having the very same memories. Not of this place, that's for sure. ]

My name is James T. Kirk. I'm... not entirely sure how I got here, but for what it's worth, I'm one of the new arrivals.

[ He presses his lips, glancing around. ] This isn't the first time I've been brought to a universe other than my own, but I was wondering if anyone else here has had a similar experience. Coming here from a place that's not your reality of origin.

[ A pause, ] Specifically, has anyone here heard of Riverview, or the Quarantine?

[ He can't help a hopeful look. A familiar face, any familiar face, will be welcome. He's looking for a specific one, admittedly, but he's not holding his breath on that one. ]

ACTION ▹ SS RED FISH

[ Once he makes that broadcast, he'll be exploring his new location, so he knows what he's dealing with. He can be found roaming the ship, poking his head into all the nooks and corners, and possibly trying to sneak his way into off-limits locations, if there are any. Stop him getting into trouble, or help him? Or just come say hi to a not-quite-new face. ]

I know. I've spoken with him already. [He sighs, twining their fingers together] At least Dr. Murry had a beard.

[ Jim can't help laugh at that. He hadn't even thought of him, damn. ]

I don't think you'll convince this other me to grow a beard, unfortunately. [ He quirks an eyebrow, teasing. ] Guess I could cut my own hair short, too.

I think you'd look good with a buzz cut, but I can't really imagine you doing that to yourself. [He tugged on James's hair] You'd miss this.

[ He purrs, head tilting back as he shifts closer and presses himself up against Victor. ] Mm... yeah, you're right. I would miss that.

[He smiles, petting through James's hair] Want to take a walk with me around the ship and show off your new ring? That's what newly engaged people do, right?

I wouldn't know. As a newly engaged person, all I wanna do is drag you off to your room and show you just how happy this ring makes me... but I guess I can hold off on that for a while.

[ He winks teasingly at Victor, leaving that up in the air as a promise. ]

Oh? And exactly how long do you think you can hold off on that?

[He smirks, like he knows that it won't be very long at all]

Hmm, I don't know... I think I could manage to keep my hands to myself for a while.

[ How many people are there on board to show off the ring to anyway? Hopefully not that many. ]

What about you?

Hmm, really? [He takes another slow lick of the candy ring, rolling his tongue over it and sucking on it a bit]

I can wait at least long enough for you to drag me to my room. I make no promises after that.

[ He watches the way Victor teases him by playing with the candy, lips a little parted. He very nearly leans in closer, but catches himself when Victor speaks again. ]

Oh, please. Like I'd ever want you to keep those hands to yourself once we're all alone.

[He licks his lips. Mouth and tongue are very blue now]

I haven't seen you in a week, geliebte. My hands will be all over you.

[ He snorts softly and can't help but giggle at the color now spread all over Victor's mouth. ]

Yeah? Good... I can hardly wait for that.

[ He takes the candy ring from Victor and sucks it into his own mouth instead, letting out an almost obscene little sound as he rolls his tongue around the candy, then pulls it out of his mouth again. ]

[He watches, half amused and half aroused. He runs his thumb just under James's bottom lip, then tugs him forward for another kiss, this time licking off the blue stains. He doesn't get too heated with it, just enough to hopefully tempt James into more]

[ Jim hums pleasantly as Victor leans closer and seals their mouths together again, smiling against Victor's lips. He tilts his head and lets his tongue run along Victor's own lips, sighing at the sweet taste in his mouth, cradling the back of his head with his free hand. ]

[He lets out a sigh of contentment. Reluctantly he breaks the contact. They'll have to continue this elsewhere. He latches his fingers into James's shirt, giving him a little tug]

C'mon.

[ He lets out a low whine when Victor pulls away, but seen as there's an unspoken promise of more, he lets some distance grow between them. Catching Victor's hand in his own, he nods for him to lead the way. ]

Is your room big enough for the two of us? [ He asks as they head out of the med bay. ] I'm requesting a transfer to this ship.

[He makes a face at the question]

It's a little smaller than our room back at Riverview, but we can make it work until we can expand. Once you're settled, we should go down to the planet. I've been waiting for you before I started exploring.

[ Jim nods, not particularly surprised. ]

Sounds like the room I have back at the Red Fish. I'm not picky, though. I just want to be with you.

[ He smiles as he weaves his fingers through Victor's, tugging him close. ]

We can do that later today? Or tomorrow, so we don't have to rush.

Your boat is called the Red Fish? Wonder if there's a Blue Fish somewhere in the Fleet to go along with it.

[Looks amused, letting James pull him along]

I was told we'll have weeks on the planet. So there's really no rush. We'll go tomorrow.

Yes! Actually yes, there is a Blue Fish. [ He announces with delight, then narrows his eyes playfully at Victor. ] Don't tell me you've spent your week here so far cooped up in the med bay.

[ Granted, Jim is nosy, and old habits die hard. First order of business when he arrived was asking around and learning all the other ships' names. Then finding out who, if anyone, among the crew, were people he knew from before. ]

Good. Then we should have the whole day to ourselves.

I checked the ship, and I did explore the planet a little, but I didn't go too far. Just enough to buy some different clothes. I wanted to save the real exploring for when you got here.

[He smiles at that, squeezing James's hand]

Exactly.

Good. Then we'll do some real exploring once I'm settled in and we're both geared up accordingly.

[ Because Jim still needs to get a few more clothes before going on adventures to an ice planet. ]

But until then, I think I've got to make up for a week's absence... [ He winks playfully at Victor. ]

OH, you absolutely need to make up for it.

[They made it to Victor's quarters. He gets the door open and pulls James inside. As he warned, it's a lot smaller than the room they had in Riverview. But they'll add expanding it to the list of things to do later.

They don't need space for much right now other than a bed, so Victor pulls them in that direction]

[ He grins, absolutely delighted by Victor's answer, letting out a soft giggle when the doctor pulls him into the room. He quickly closes the door behind them so they can have some privacy, both arms wrapping around Victor's neck as he leans in to kiss him.

He also promptly moves with him towards the bed, pushing Victor back onto the mattress once they reach it. ]

[Victor allows himself to be pushed, making sure that James comes along with him. He presses kisses on the man's face and neck. A week isn't that long to be separated, but it felt like more to him. Especially with another Jim Kirk in the Fleet]
