[Sora is an islander, and because of that he's not really equipped to deal with snow. He seems to have found a couple of jackets and a beanie that makes his hair stick out in odd ends and is tolerating it for now. Despite the cold, he seems pretty excited by being in this world, buzzing with a kind of pleasant energy.]

I found out we can go hunting here! Who wants to go with me to hunt a big animal? Oh, maybe a bear?! If they even have bears here.

Are bears a thing here?

I mean it, though! It would be a ton of fun, living off the land, seeking out a nice big haul for the people here, selling it and making everyone happy! I just....

Uh... I might need a bit of help making sure I don't freeze to death? So who wants to go??

Mostly I've just hunted monsters. Never animals for food before.

Well, if you want to hunt for food, bear might not be your best option. They can be kinda gamey and the flavour's not consistent when you cook it. Definitely more of a challenge than deer, though!

I could probably start with a deer, if it would make people happier.

Is that your main motivation for the trip? Making people happy?

[And true to her word, there's a blond elf in colourful adventurer's gear hanging out against a wall in the town square not long after.]

[Sora finds her and comes over. He grins up at her.]

Hey, are you waiting for me?

[She wiggles her fingers at him in a wave.]

That's me! I'm Lup, nice to meet ya.

And I'm Sora!

[He hands over a thermos.] Here! It's hot chocolate. I, uh, hope you like hot chocolate. I thought it would help keep us warm.

Nice, nice. I'll never say no to chocolate. Thanks, little dude.

[She lifts it in a small salute.]

So, what've you got to work with, equipment-wise? Before you start any hunt, you gotta have your inventory sorted.

I got some stuff from a local vendor who also told me what to hunt. He swings his back around and opens it, showing a few hunting guns that are carefully stored and put into a safety mode.

We gotta get somewhere safely away from the town and find some animals.

[Lup is immediately intrigued, leaning in to get a better look.]

Whoa, are those guns!?

[It's been so long since she's seen one!]

Yeah! Captian Looma has all kinds of weapons and I talked to some locals to make sure it will work.

Oh, they're from the fleet, then?

[So... laser guns? Man, she was gunning (ha ha) for real bullets.]

Yeah, but there are some weapons in this place too, I think? They have to hunt for themselves too right? We could try to buy one, if you want?

Nah, it's no biggie. I've got all the guns I need right here.

[And she gives him a pair of finger-guns, the tips of both pointers briefly catching fire.]

Whoa! Magic! That's so cool!

Better believe it. Have you got a shuttle to move us around, or should we use mine?

Let's use yours.

[And then as they move to get to the shuttle.]

Do you use other types of magic too?

Sure, I've got loads of spells. Fire's my fave, and elemental comes easiest, but I know transmutation, conjuration, a slice of necromancy... pretty much the only thing I can't do is healing.

That all sounds super neat! Why not healing though? Cure is super useful.

It's, uh, it's been a while since I cast any magic. Some stuff that happened back home took that ability away, but I can relearn it!

Where I'm from you gotta follow certain rules before you can use healing magic, and I don't like those rules, so I don't bother. There's other people better suited for that.

[She shrugs her shoulders. God-worship just isn't her thing.]

I can't help you when it comes to learning that stuff, sorry. But if you ever wanna talk shop for elemental spells, I'm a pro!
