[Tim will actually catch the dagger as it bounces off, and then offer to toss it to Kitty while she remains out of range. Not that he quite knows what that range is.]

Remind me to start a journal here then. I don't appreciate having my head played with. Psychically or not.

[He will hold his hands up to stop her coming closer.]

I don't want to force you in any way, even if it's pity. I'm willing to wait this out.

Thanks. I usually miss. Glad you survived. [She doesn't usually miss. These are the jokes! Though throwing weapons aren't her main strength. Logan trained her on a lot of weapon types but she has the most practice with her claws and hand-to-hand fighting that are more after his own tastes.

She holds her hand out ready to catch. What's a little knife throwing between people who barely know each other?]

Kid, relax. It's just a kiss.

[He gives her a questioning look. He's not sure if it was a joke or not]

I'm not sure I should give this back if you do in fact usually miss... [He flips the blade up and down for a bit]

And sure it's just a kiss but it's still... coerced.

You can give it back or I can take it back. [Threat? Promise? Can't it be both? The tone isn't teasing for that one.]

[And he's not wrong about the kiss. It's problematic as hell, but it's not on them as much as the Atroma and she'd prefer not to let the moral ambiguity mean she gets trapped in a doorway forever or that others do the same.]

[Okay, definitely not joking there. He'll toss it carefully to her.]

I think I'll avoid a fight while stuck in a very small space.

They haven't um.. pushed this whole forced kissing thing further have they? I mean what other things do they force us to do?

Smart choice. [She manages to grab the dagger without slicing her hand and she bends down to return it to it's normally hidden location.

She glances back up at his question.]

I have not been compelled to do more than kiss here. [The "here" is a bit of a misnomer. It's not like she had to do more than kiss back in Marina either although sometimes you had to really kiss. The other things she did were more under memory manipulation. They felt like choices at the time she made them. It was all very morally gray at best.]

But I can't promise that won't change.

[He makes note of where she's keeping her weapons for later.]

This worries me greatly.

[He glares up at the mistletoe]

Are there any traditions like the mistletoe that would be.. bad for consent. I mean Boxing Day isn't going to end in forced drinking and brawls?

[That's just one of them, but the big one is pretty obvious since she is her best weapon.]

Not that I know of, but [helpless shrug.]

You're overthinking this. Just let me get you out of there. They aren't going to make me take some kid's V-card. [She doesn't really think he's a virgin. Probably. Maybe. She hasn't really thought of it. She's just being flip.]

I overthink everything. It's a problem.

[He blushes in embarassment at the mention of his V-card.]

I have kissed people. before, I'm not completely inexperienced.

That's a good way to freeze up. [She can overthink things when things are calm, but in the heat of battle she does her best to stay clear and focused. Sometimes she misses battle.]

Just picture one of them if it helps.

I've been told I'm the thinky Robin. That because I wasn't physically gifted like the other Robins I would usually need to think my way out of a situation by coming up with multiple possible options.

[He hasn't had time to miss battle but he's definitely going to go a bit stir crazy without the mission to give him purpose here.]

Did you basically just tell me to lie back and think of England?

I'm not anti-thinking. You've just gotta make a choice at some point and execute. [She's stepping closer again. She may already be within it's range by now. She's not sure.]

You know, if England does it for you. [But she gets the reference.] All those furry hats. [Why this is her first go-to visual for all things English, she's not sure.]

[He's not trying to stop her this time but he is tensing a little from the anticipation]

That's true, I just like having time to plan I suppose.

And England doesn't really do anything. [And ex-girlfriends come with a lot of baggage] Furry hats aren't really kissing inducing objects

[That's what a girl likes. A nice tense guy, reluctant to kiss her.]

I guess it's a good thing neither of us are wearing one then. [She stops a close, but still comfortable distance from him, sure she's ensnared by this point.]

Are you going to need time to plan for this?

[He pouts at her] You're mocking me...

Fine. [He leans down and kisses her]

[She kisses back. She'll go along with what the other person wants most of the time, but generally she likes these to be one and done. So the hand kisses that turn to cheek kisses that turn to quick pecks that turn to a simple, real kiss aren't as much her thing. It is a little weird since he feels younger. She just hopes not that much younger.]

[It's only a soft short kiss, nothing leading into more before he steps back abruptly.]

Did that work?

[He's deliberately not making eye contact now.]

You ask that after all your kisses don't you? [Trying not to laugh.]

~~[Please don't tell him that. He's already had the one fake fiancee]~~

Hey! I do not!

[He looks rather put out, and young.]

[~~He's safe this time.~~]

Do I want to know how old you are? [She reaches up to see if she can grab the mistletoe now. Maybe it's no longer protected. Her theory pays off and she pulls it down, grinding it under her shoe. She knows that won't stop it from reappearing later, but it feels good for the moment.]

I'm 17. [Pause.] That's not going to be a problem, is it? You can't be that much older.

[He actually bends down to inspect the ground up plant. He was curious to know if it was causing the force field or something built into the door. But no normal looking mistletoe.

[She moves out of the way to let him inspect it.] Well, if I can't be then I can't be I guess. [For a moment she sounds like she's going to leave it there before adding.] I'm still 22 right now. [Five years sounds like an impossibly long span of time to her in this direction and yet she's very chill seeing a guy who is a hundred years older.]

I'm just saying you don't appear to be that much older.

[He leaves the plant] Thank you for the help though. I mean you could have just given me a wide berth and had a laugh so yes, thank you.

I have no idea how long you would have been stuck. Or you might have ended up in there with someone far less adorable than me.

[Tim chuckles]
Well now, I can't have anyone less adorable than you save me, so for that, I'm eternally in your debt.
