[Kolivan has been getting more familiar with locations here but one thing is clear...he needs to keep up with his own personal training. This may be a peaceful time here but he knows there are dangerous people already in this place. People he needs to prepare himself for should they decide to be anything less than peaceful.

So he's either in the gym or the obstacle course when he's not attending to his duties on the ship he was assigned. It means he's not asleep much but then again it's not like he is one to spend much time at rest. Not when he feels that there is a very real danger he needs to be prepared for. Just in case. Because he doesn't ever want to be caught off guard again and overwhelmed. He wants to be able to face his foes head on and not lose.

This also means it's easy enough to come across him and even if he doesn't look your way instantly it seems rather clear that he already knows you're there. Like he sensed your arrival. But it's only when he's finished a series of complex movements (with his sword and legs in the gym or through the more complicated area of the obstacle course) that he actually acknowledges you.]

Do you need something?

[It's gruff but...he's always like this. Don't mind him.]

You know, usually, when a handsome man compliments my stamina, it's under different circumstances.

[And then he attacks, because Kolivan said to go so that means go.]

[Kolivan feels he should get used to talk like this from Cyril but he still blinks even as he dodges the arrow. It's just a lot to get used to. And sometimes he wonders if he will actually just be a disappointment to the Dalish.

Odd that he should have those thoughts. Perhaps it really has been too long since he was last with someone...]

[Cyril, for his part, seems focused on the training. He really finds he loves this new bow, and he really likes spending time with Kolivan.]

[knowledgeordeath]

[The training goes on for a time until finally Kolivan raises his hand for a break. Less for himself and more because pushing is good but pushing too hard? That's not ideal for the body. Especially for a limb one isn't used to.

Going to the side, he gets water and tosses it to Cyril before sitting down. He doesn't look the least bit tired.]

Sit. If you wish to continue after some rest then we can.

[samahl]

[Cyril is grateful for the water and the chance to sit with Kolivan.]

You know, [He says after a moment of them both just resting.] With you sitting down, I could test that theory of yours that it would be difficult for me to reach your lips to kiss them.

[His voice is very light, more a tease than anything. But there's a glint in his eyes that says he absolutely would do it.]

[His eyes widen and he stares at him in surprise. It's so rare for someone to throw him off this often. He's not used to it.]

I was not aware you were serious about that matter.

[samahl]

I always am.

Though, again, if I cross a line let me know. I would hate to make you uncomfortable.

[knowledgeordeath]

You don't make me uncomfortable. I'm simply not used to this manner of affection. It is something I gave up on having for myself long ago when I formed the Blades of Marmora.

[samahl]

Your dedication to your people is very admirable, you know. It shows how strong of a leader you must be.

Some of your Blades are here, right? I think you mentioned that you were training with some of them.

[knowledgeordeath]

Three of my blades are here.

[He lifts his arm to show that it's bandaged.]

It's good to see they're staying on top of their game.

[Cyril says, grinning. He doesn't seem worried because Kolivan seems the type to take care of any wounds properly.]

Of course. I would expect nothing less of my Blades.

[Kolivan lowers his arm again.]

They must be the best at all times. I have already seen what happens when I make a mistake. I need them to be able to survive should I fall. They have to be strong.

[He looks down, his eyes narrowing. That deep regret is written all over his face.]

[samahl]

[That regret is something that Cyril finds himself relating to. After a moment he reaches out and outs a hand on Kolivan's arm.]

[knowledgeordeath]

[That hand is so small on his arm and the touch is gentle. Yet it is actually comforting. It has truly been a long while since he was given a touch like this.

For now he takes a moment to simply...let himself accept it. Because he finds he doesn't wish to discourage the Dalish from it.]

[samahl]

I'm sure they are all strong. With you as their leader.

I'd love to meet them.

It would be valuable for them to have another ally. I'm not sure when you will be able to encounter them but I will give their names.

[Just so Cyril will know.]

They are Ulaz, Krolia, and Keith.

[samahl]

Are they all Galra too?

[knowledgeordeath]

Yes. Though, Keith will look human since his father was one.

[samahl]

Really? Do Galra usually have children with other races?

[knowledgeordeath]

They do. It is far from uncommon. However, these half-bred children are always treated like second class citizens at best. Galra believe in the purity of the race.

[samahl]

A shame. For elves, if we reproduce with another race, the child will be the race of the non-elven parent. Do these half-Galra children look like Galra?

[knowledgeordeath]

Keith looks human. Most that are half-Galra appear to be a combination of both races but now and then one race will have stronger genetics than the other.

[samahl]

The humans on Thedas tend to do that too when they mate with the other races. I wonder if that's just in their make up.

They do tend to like to dominate.

[knowledgeordeath]

Do they? I have little experience with them. It is only recently I have been to a planet they come from and they were ages behind the rest of space until other races came to help them advance.

[samahl]

Well, that makes me feel all kinds of pleased. [Cyril chuckles gently.] Though I can't imagine how backwards you'd find Thedas.
