Training Day
Who: Kolivan and YOU
Broadcast: Nope
Action: On the Iskaulit
When: Today!
[Kolivan has been getting more familiar with locations here but one thing is clear...he needs to keep up with his own personal training. This may be a peaceful time here but he knows there are dangerous people already in this place. People he needs to prepare himself for should they decide to be anything less than peaceful.
So he's either in the gym or the obstacle course when he's not attending to his duties on the ship he was assigned. It means he's not asleep much but then again it's not like he is one to spend much time at rest. Not when he feels that there is a very real danger he needs to be prepared for. Just in case. Because he doesn't ever want to be caught off guard again and overwhelmed. He wants to be able to face his foes head on and not lose.
This also means it's easy enough to come across him and even if he doesn't look your way instantly it seems rather clear that he already knows you're there. Like he sensed your arrival. But it's only when he's finished a series of complex movements (with his sword and legs in the gym or through the more complicated area of the obstacle course) that he actually acknowledges you.]
Do you need something?
[It's gruff but...he's always like this. Don't mind him.]

[It's gruff but...he's always like this. Don't mind him.]

I don't need anything today. I was just going to get in some training, same as you. Don't want to get out of practice regardless of where we might be.
[He goes to pull out some gymnastics equipment like the balance bar and rings but stops.]
Unless you'd prefer I not get in the way? Or want to take a break for food?
no subject
[Watching him, he notes what he's doing and turns away from what he's been doing to walk over to him. He likes the boy...in his own way.]
What is it you are doing there?
no subject
[He'll go back to pull out what equipment he's used to using.]
Well, one of my teachers and brother is an acrobat and he has taught me a lot but unlike him, I can't seem to defy the laws of gravity naturally so I have to keep practising.
[He'll remove his cape for this and hop up onto the balance bar and do a simple cartwheel across it.]
Or I'm liable to fall off the side of a building that's almost 2000 feet tall.

Of course, he knew of her arrival, but was he prepared for her to attack without notice?
She's quick to rush forward, leaping at him to tackle him to the ground with claws ready to dig into skin and teeth bared. She knew his limits (she knew most of his tricks) and she braced herself for his reaction time. ]
no subject
To Kolivan this is a welcome addition to his training for the day.
His reaction is as swift as her attack, letting her tackle him to the ground where he uses the momentum to launch her off of him. For a normal person that would mean being slammed right into the wall beyond. He'll see what she does to counter it since she's more capable than a normal person might be.
In the meantime, he's rolling himself back to his feet to get ready to crouch low so his center of gravity won't be so high.]
no subject
It's been so long since they rough housed.
She tried to compare their training to dancing once, deadly and precise as they moved around each other. It would be easy to hurt each other but the point isn't necessarily to injure their sparring partner.
Krolia rushes forward, throwing a punch at his face before dropping down to try and sweep his legs from under him. ]

After Krolia's Match...
You are bleeding.
no subject
Krolia bit me.
[You know. No big deal.]
no subject
Did she now? You two were sparring then.
[Nope, hearing Krolia had bit him was not particularly odd to him. The Blades didn't really "play nice" even in friendly practice. And he already knew because he had told others as well, if you were going to go for something like that, there was no point in doing it half way.
He was fishing in his pouch now for the roll of bandage he carried with him when off the Blameless. He was oddly prepared even in the fleet. And he's not even going to ask before coming over to put another bandage over it. If any Blade could get away without asking, it was him]

So when she looks up at last, finds herself at the gym, and sees a familiar Galran face in the middle of what she assumes is a Blade of Marmora training routine, she finds herself struck with an idea. Probably not her best idea, but it'll give her exactly the thing she's looking for right now.]
Well- Not exactly. [She drops her display and tucks the device into her pocket as she steps closer, offering a slight, polite smile.] I heard you were here, but I guess I never got around to saying hi.
no subject
[He's not faulting her in the slightest. A greeting isn't required and she's seeing him now. Besides, he's never really been one for small talk. Even before he created the Blades, he just didn't have the personality for it. And these days? Well he doesn't have the time for it.
Never mind that he has nothing but time in this Fleet.]
If you came here to train I will limit myself to one side to give you room.
no subject
[Pidge draws in a breath. coming to a stop a fair distance away, squaring her shoulders and dropping her smile in lieu of something more determined-looking.]
I know I'm not Galra, but I'd like to try sparring with you.

He missed gym time with Shiro and Keith this morning due to sleeping in, so he figures he'll make up for it now. When he gets there, he spots a familiar Galra, and gives him a wave.]
Uh, just came here to pump some iron and stuff.
no subject
[That sounds like an engineering matter. Is that Lance's augment? Well if it is or is not, this isn't the correct location to do what he's currently talking about. He's not sure how he could be confused about that but perhaps that is the case.]
no subject
Er, where I come from, "pumping iron" is slang for lifting weights. Soooo, I am here to exercise.
[How would one...literally pump iron, anyway?]

He watches him quietly as he stretches, impressed by the movements and intrigued as well. They are rather unlike anything he has seen before, after all. ]
No, not anything necessarily. You were practicing some interesting moves though. What style?
no subject
[He takes notes of the stretching. A wise move for a simple workout. Not something that can always be done in the heat of the moment, of course.]
If you require room then I will limit my area to provide that.
no subject
Uh? Oh, no, it’s all right. I’m happy to observe if you’ll let me. Like I said - your style is interesting.
[ He gave one of his coy little smiles. ]
I might learn a new move to add to my own. Mix it up like you said.
[ He raised up his hand in a hello. ]
Name’s Jim Kirk, by the way.

He ends up at the gym to do that, but then Kolivan is there and everything about him is distracting. He ends up finding a place to sit and just watching.]
Oh, I can think of a few things... [Cyril replies, looking Kolivan up in down in as suggestive a way as possible.] But right now, I was going to test out this new bow and you were here so I'm afraid I was a little distracted.
no subject
Oh. The Dalish is flirting with him again. That will still take some getting used to since no one has done that in a long, long time.]
If I am a distraction then I can find another location to train in. However, that could be concerning if this is something that applies to you in actual combat situations as well.
[He feels like he should put this in a way that the Dalish will understand. Hmmm...]
There are those that would find you to lack in attraction if you cannot maintain your concentration when it is required of you.
[There.]

Still, she has to admit there's a fluidity and beauty to the way he moves. Far better than any human she's seen, anyway. Veronica blushes slightly when she's caught staring, and looks down, rubbing the back of her neck.]
Oh, um...no, no, I uh... I was walking by. Don't let me bother you.
no subject
[He sheathes his sword at his side then lets his attention move to her. One of the human allies. Lance's sister. She has right to be nervous around Galra after what happened to her so he doesn't even question the aura of tension coming from her.]
If you wish to watch then I don't mind.
