[Kolivan has been getting more familiar with locations here but one thing is clear...he needs to keep up with his own personal training. This may be a peaceful time here but he knows there are dangerous people already in this place. People he needs to prepare himself for should they decide to be anything less than peaceful.

So he's either in the gym or the obstacle course when he's not attending to his duties on the ship he was assigned. It means he's not asleep much but then again it's not like he is one to spend much time at rest. Not when he feels that there is a very real danger he needs to be prepared for. Just in case. Because he doesn't ever want to be caught off guard again and overwhelmed. He wants to be able to face his foes head on and not lose.

This also means it's easy enough to come across him and even if he doesn't look your way instantly it seems rather clear that he already knows you're there. Like he sensed your arrival. But it's only when he's finished a series of complex movements (with his sword and legs in the gym or through the more complicated area of the obstacle course) that he actually acknowledges you.]

Do you need something?

[It's gruff but...he's always like this. Don't mind him.]

[A few things?

Oh. The Dalish is flirting with him again. That will still take some getting used to since no one has done that in a long, long time.]

If I am a distraction then I can find another location to train in. However, that could be concerning if this is something that applies to you in actual combat situations as well.

[He feels like he should put this in a way that the Dalish will understand. Hmmm...]

There are those that would find you to lack in attraction if you cannot maintain your concentration when it is required of you.

[There.]

[Cyril just grins at that response. He sees it as Kolivan being a tad worried.]

Your concern is appreciated.

Though I assure you, were we to fight I would be focused on defeating you, not on your pleasing form.

[Somehow even that sounds like a flirt rather than being a threat, though he is serious about giving it his all.]

[Good job. You've successfully translated one of Kolivan's sentences, Cyril.]

I see.

[He looks to the bow then moves to step back.]

How much damage is that bow capable of?

It can stun or kill, depending on the setting.

Honestly... I'm still getting used to it which is why I brought it here.

On Thedas, we don't even have steam engines yet and now I have gotten used to energy based weapons and cybernetic prosthetics.

Set it to stun. I will be your target.

[Yep. He seems perfectly serious about that as he moves to walk away to give the elf some distance to be able to fire his shots.]

[Cyril's brow raises but he doesn't seem to doubt Kolivan at all.]

You know, you just keep saying things that make me want to kiss you. [He says, and he's just as serious as Kolivan was with the offer to be a target. He takes out the bow and sets it to stun, not even taking a moment to consider that it might be a bad idea to shoot Kolivan.

He trusts that Kolivan knows what his limits are, and he doubts he'll make an easy target.]

That would be challenging given your height.

[Once he's a fair distance away, he sheaths his sword then shifts his stance.

A nod and he lets him know that he's ready.]

I like a challenge.

[Then he aims and fires.]

[Despite his large height, he moves fast, filling away from the arrow with ease.]

I have gathered that about you.

[Oh, that's impressive.

He only pauses to give Kolivan a flirtatious smirk before becoming Cyril more focused. He keeps aiming and firing, not shying away from trying to hit Kolivan. Not having to pause to grab an arrow is rather freeing.]

[This gives him a challenge as well. A chance to dodge actual fire. And since it is only meant to stun, it won't cause lasting damage should he fail. Not that he intends to, of course.

Which means he's definitely making himself hard to hit, continually moving now and making use of the full area around them. Even going to far as to jump up high and push off of walls.]

[Cyril moves as well, his own movements fast and quick as well. Kolivan can probably tell he's no stranger to battle at how he gracefully but purposely flits around the arena in an effort to land a shot.

He gets the most out of testing the weapon and getting more used to the way his cybernetic arm moves when he's using it. He takes the training seriously, but he also enjoys himself. This is fun for him, and seeing what Kolivan can do just makes him all the more certain he wants to get to know him better.]

[Not just anyone can keep up with him. There are a couple shots he has to move a little faster for. So inwardly? He's impressed. It doesn't show on his face but inside he finds himself admiring the Dalish somewhat. (In his own way, of course.)

This Dalish known as Cyril is a fascinating person, inspiring a curiosity he hasn't felt in a long while. A need to know a person instead of just what their motivations are.

It's...intriguing. He rather enjoys the feeling.

And now to up the challenge.

This time, he turns and rushes at Cyril straight on.]

[It seems inevitable that their training would turn to a direct clash. It feels almost like flirting to Cyril.

So when Kolivan rushes at him he isn't surprised so much as pleased, and he moves quickly to dodge out of the way, going low to the ground to get away from him. Then, for a moment, it's almost as if he disappears so that he can swing his body around and aim for Kolivan from behind.]

[Good. He has good movement.

Kolivan shifts to suddenly duck and roll out of the way, springing to his feet before he rushes at Cyril again. He wants to see him move again. To see how he does that quick motion to seemingly vanish.]

[Cyril does do it again, and this time since Kolivan is paying attention he can tell it's not so much tech or magic but a smoke screen that obscures him from view. He could use more technology to do it instead, but he's still learning how to use the tech here. ]

[So that's how it's done. Smoke. By being distracted by it, he misses where Cyril goes. It's a good trick. But now he's seen through it so he moves in the direction the Dalish has gone just to see how he will respond this time.]

[Cyril tries to get out of the way again, but this time he isn't as fast as he'd have to be to escape Kolivan completely.]

[He stops just before he can actually strike Cyril, relaxing his body and moving to walk further back again.]

You are not terrible with your new arm. It will simply require more practice. We'll go again.

[Cyril flexes the new arm, watching it move a bit as if trying to figure it out.]

Right now? [He asks, grinning at the idea of them still going.]

You appear to have good stamina. You cannot grow and improve if you do not push yourself.

[So obviously...right now.]

You know, usually, when a handsome man compliments my stamina, it's under different circumstances.

[And then he attacks, because Kolivan said to go so that means go.]

[Kolivan feels he should get used to talk like this from Cyril but he still blinks even as he dodges the arrow. It's just a lot to get used to. And sometimes he wonders if he will actually just be a disappointment to the Dalish.

Odd that he should have those thoughts. Perhaps it really has been too long since he was last with someone...]

[Cyril, for his part, seems focused on the training. He really finds he loves this new bow, and he really likes spending time with Kolivan.]

[The training goes on for a time until finally Kolivan raises his hand for a break. Less for himself and more because pushing is good but pushing too hard? That's not ideal for the body. Especially for a limb one isn't used to.

Going to the side, he gets water and tosses it to Cyril before sitting down. He doesn't look the least bit tired.]

Sit. If you wish to continue after some rest then we can.
