It seems I have spent a total of a year in this place and the, ah, viewers wish to celebrate. However most of this is useless to me, so I welcome anyone else taking them into their hands.

[ which, ngl, he's into. but the gifts loki has are just . . . baffling. he holds each one up to the camera. we have the mighty thor scooter, captain chickmerica, loki on hotwheels, a masterpiece, plastic horns, disturbing panties and something for "sophisticated men" ]

Also, this has reminded me. Since we are essentially living by this . . . awkward mortal calendar, I have decided I want a birthday. You lot should help me pick one.

Yeah, it's a holiday where people dress up and go around knocking on folks' doors for candy. Or go to parties. Or other weird shit. It's fun, though, I guess. Lot of creepy shit if you're into that. Historically it used to be a day to ring in the first day of winter or pray for the dead, depending on where you trace the traditions to in Europe.

[a pause, and he gives Loki a considering look] Actually, day before might suit you better. That's Devil's Night, folks go around pulling pranks. Think they call it Mischief Night in other places? It was Gate Night where I was from.

[dothelokimotion]

[ that . . . sounds amazing actually. ]

I never knew mortals knew how to have fun.

Surprise. [a snort] Maybe you've just been to the wrong places on Earth.

Anyway, the date for that one is October 30th.

[ it's possible. he was only in new york and that city is just concrete gray. ]

October should be feasible.

Ain't a bad month, even taking out all the Halloween shit.

Not too close to winter at least.

Nope. And if you're on Earth in the states, just avoid the northern parts and you're good.

I doubt I'll ever revisit Earth again.

Well there's your problem. New York sucks.

I'm sure like, there's parts of the state that don't suck but I'm guessing you were in the city? It's too loud, there's too many people, just - too busy in general.

[ loki nods slowly. ]

I was not there for very long but it certainly seemed . . . crowded.

[privateeyed]

Yeah, it's - something. Where I live now - Detroit, it's the same way. But I'm from somewhere a little less fuckin' loud so I'm a little biased against the big city shit.

[dothelokimotion]

[ he shrugs. ]

All your cities seemed to be designed the same way. Grey and crowded.

[privateeyed]

They're a little less grey in my time, but yeah - they're crowded and ugly.

None of the cities I know have ever been designed as such.

I think humans just like feeling like fuckin' sardines or somethin', I dunno. Like, I understand the reason why it's like that, but also, fuck that reason.

It is a little bizarre. But I grant I have not visited much of the planet since New York.

Figured. Well, next time you know to go to somewhere not New York.

As I said, it is unlikely I will ever go to Earth again.
