It seems I have spent a total of a year in this place and the, ah, viewers wish to celebrate. However most of this is useless to me, so I welcome anyone else taking them into their hands.

[ which, ngl, he's into. but the gifts loki has are just . . . baffling. he holds each one up to the camera. we have the mighty thor scooter, captain chickmerica, loki on hotwheels, a masterpiece, plastic horns, disturbing panties and something for "sophisticated men" ]

Also, this has reminded me. Since we are essentially living by this . . . awkward mortal calendar, I have decided I want a birthday. You lot should help me pick one.

Yeah, uh, I'm gonna pass on those, but that's a heck of an anniversary haul. And you don't have a birthday? I mean... I guess it makes sense, since whatever calendar you had back where you came from is probably totally different from Earth's.

[He ponders.]

On Earth, we have zodiac signs. Astrological signs that are associated with parts of the year. Maybe you can pick a birthday in a sign that goes with your personality?

What are astrological signs? What do they mean?

They're basically constellations. Y'know, like Aquarius and Pisces and stuff. I'm a Leo. People associate certain signs with certain personality traits and elements and numbers and stuff. Honestly, it's more for fun than anything, 'cause there's no real science behind it. But sometimes they fit really well.

Why would stars have anything to do with one's personality?

Uhhh, I'm not actually sure, to be honest. I don't really know the history behind it all. Someone probably just got bored a looooooooong time ago and came up with it all for funsies, but it's stuck.

We used to read fortunes in the stars. I had no idea the practice was still kept in the modern age.

It is, though part of it is kind of a fad since there's no real science behind them.

To be honest, ummm, I'm not sure. I can't actually remember the details behind any of them. But maybe there's a book somewhere?
