[Simon smiles at the camera, before he clears his throat and addresses everyone.]

Ah- hello to members of the Drift Fleet, old and new. I'm Simon, the medical officer on the Bloodsport. It seems that my sister River has been going around and making lots of friends since she arrived here- I would like to speak to and get to know all of you in turn if you wish. I will be here on the Bloodsport and making housecalls elsewhere as needed.

[Perhaps he's treating you on your ship. Maybe you visit him on the Bloodsport or run into him at the waystation the Fleet is currently docked in while he scrounges for food and medicine. No matter what, Simon wants to know the people his sister is bonding with. Why not say hello?]

She's a good person, your sister. [Weird, but not weirder than anything else he's seen before. ] I'm Manolo, I'm the counsellor here.

She is. [Simon smiles and walks up to Manolo, offering a hand to shake.] I'm sorry for not introducing myself sooner, Manolo; it seems like I had barely gotten here when we were attacked, and I have been busy ever since.

Somehow I am not surprised she has talked about me a lot- she and I are very close. I hope she was not a bother.

Cole turns up with bandages, an assortment of leaves and flowers and knives. Four knives, to be specific, two of which are sheathed across his back and two of which are bundled in his arms in their sheaths.

He wanders into the ship like he lives there and beelines for the bright point of compassion. He then realises that's Manolo and swerves off, following River's impression of her brother back to the source.]

Healing herbs, housing but home with you here, her moon dances in the pull of the planet.

[Simon is rather surprised by the man's sudden appearance, but the man's words make it clear what his purpose is, and he wonders of the flowers and plants are meant to be a gift.]

I take it you have met my sister- she speaks of us in terms of a moon orbiting her planet. I hope she was not a bother?

A river, winding, wending, washed to the bone, water flows and changes but remains the same.

[Congratulations, Simon, River found someone much more like her than anyone else. And now he's found you.]

She's the moon, changing but unchanging, knowing the routes because you're there to show her. This isn't elfroot, but it helps with pain and infection.

[He hands over some of the leaves.]

Flowers steeped in water for parasites and nausea. You're bright and warm, I could sense you from the station, giving, gifting, gracious.

[Having seen Simon's announcement, Beverly decides to pay Simon a visit on his ship. She's been meaning to contact him again anyway, to see how he is adjusting. Guessing that, like her, he'll be found somewhere around the ship's labs and sickbay, she makes her way there and knocks politely on the door frame.]

[Simon had been studying the herbs Cole had gifted him when he looked up at the knock, smiling at his new guest.]

Dr. Crusher- please come in. Have you been doing well?

[Oh! Plants! She's suddenly distracted and joins him at the lab table.]

I hope she was not a bother- seems like she made a lot of visits her first week here.

And don't worry, she wasn't a bother or anything. We were more confused about how she actually got there in the first place. It's not like we have transporters or anything.

[ Steph's sitting cross-legged on top of a table in the empty courtyard of the waystation - it's not exactly fresh air, but it's closer to it than they have on the ships.

She's scanning the network when she spots Simon, and though she hadn't responded to his post earlier, she certainly noticed. She lifts a hand to wave him over. ]

Hey! You're River's brother, right?

[Simon heard the call and came up to the young woman, nodding as he did so.]

That's me- River made sure to go around visiting a lot of people when she arrived. I shouldn't be surprised that she mentioned me.

Yeah, she was on my ship before she transferred off. Probably for the best she did - she freaks Tim out a little, I think - but I liked her.

That is the name of the ship we traveled on back home, yes- she was very fond of it, which may be why she wanted to visit. I hope she did not intrude.
