[If there's anything this freaking ship loves, it's food. Somehow, a dinner got planned to welcome the new member. And then other people got invited. And then the dinner pretty much turned into a party with a lot of food. Needless to say, Kairi has been very busy preparing food all the day for this.

There's a lot of meat, per the captain's request. But there's also veggies, some fruit, pasta, and even brownies! There are also two pizza pies. Basically, Kairi just cooked a bunch of food and hoped it would be enough, as she had no idea how many people were coming.

SO DIG IN, BLUE FISH AND GUESTS. Also mingle and be social and all that jazz!]

Well we never got any warning before we were dropped into a new situation like that! You'd wake up and suddenly you're in a whole new place! So I supposed it'd be easy to forget to warn people about all the different things that might happen!

I mean, I would try to explain things to Arthur, but he'd never listen about anything. All he'd want to do is argue - so it was pointless to even try.

Oh, really? [Well, that did explain that, then.] Still, that doesn't seem like a good way to go about that. But then I guess it isn't much different where I'm from, either. The guys just sort of go into the worlds without... knowing much.

[She can only imagine the trouble Sora's gotten into because of it.]

I see. [Hardly as fun] That sounds like a lot of work. I hope there's at least a chance to see some of the sights and eat the food.

Ah- yes. A few years later. [Allen clears his throat and does an abrupt subject change] This food is really delicious, Kairi. You really outdid yourself this time.

That's not for lacking. The three of us tried to build a raft once, to go sailing and see other worlds. [Things derailed pretty fast when their world fell apart the night before they were to set out...

Abrupt, indeed. But Kairi can take a hint. For some reason, this isn't something he wants to dwell on further, so she won't push. Just make a note of it for later.] Thank you! This is definitely the most cooking I've ever done in one day. With any luck there'll be leftovers.

A raft? You mean like out of logs and such? [That's kinda adorable]

Haha- I'll turn down any eating contest challenges, then.

Y-Yeah, pretty much. It probably wouldn't have worked out too well, but we wanted to try.

If there are any eating contests, I'm ordering take out for the next week straight.

Oh, I was kidding. Mostly. If we keep having big dinners like this, though, I probably will need help.

[He laughs] I'll keep that in mind for next time. I know a little bit about cooking, and Dr. Crusher knows about baking, and Katara's not bad either! Just, ah, be careful if she suggests anything involving sea prunes.

Yeah, I was helping her make some crepes. And-

...sea prunes? I've never heard of those. [And she lives on a frickin' island.]

They're a Water Tribe delicacy. Earth didn't have them either, as far as I know.

Water Tribe? [Someone here doesn't know a fig about Sokka or Katara's past.]

They do sound kind of gross. I like seafood, but... yeah. [Grimace. No thanks.]

That's Sokka and Katara's people. The Water Tribe. [Along with the Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom....creative with the naming, those people are]

Oh, okay. I guess that explains the sea prunes. I haven't talked to Sokka much about things not related to the ship yet. He's been a bit grumpy lately...

Ah...don't worry. Hopefully he'll be better in a few days- at least that's what he said.
