[If there's anything this freaking ship loves, it's food. Somehow, a dinner got planned to welcome the new member. And then other people got invited. And then the dinner pretty much turned into a party with a lot of food. Needless to say, Kairi has been very busy preparing food all the day for this.

There's a lot of meat, per the captain's request. But there's also veggies, some fruit, pasta, and even brownies! There are also two pizza pies. Basically, Kairi just cooked a bunch of food and hoped it would be enough, as she had no idea how many people were coming.

SO DIG IN, BLUE FISH AND GUESTS. Also mingle and be social and all that jazz!]

[She almost immediately backs off when she sees Cole shrink back, but does let out a breath in quiet amazement.]

Wahh... that's amazing! [She reaches a hand out again, gently. The intention, at least is to offer a hand to shake but considering how things went when she asked about cats, this might not go well either.]

I'm Usagi, by the way.

I do too! Help people. I try, at least... [Vague, but true. Usagi's not sure she wants to expose her identity or what she does here yet.]

[He looks at her hand and offers up Slay, cradled in his arm.]

He doesn't like having his belly rubbed, but he likes his throat and chest being petted.

[Yep, he sure did misunderstand what that gesture meant.]

The important thing is wanting to help.

Huh? Oh! [She Laughs a little, but scritches Slay gently under the chin regardless.]

I was trying to shake your hand. You know. Like a greeting! [A western one, but one Usagi figured would work best, all things considered.]

Oh. No, thank you. I don't like touching people unless I know them. I hear too much.

It's all right, I won't tell anyone who else you are.

Hehe, I understand. [She offers a smile instead, respectfully keeping her hands to herself despite not quite understanding "I hear too much". She takes a breath to ask, but instead stops cold.]

E-eh? What do you... [She laughs, though this time there's an air of unease as she lifts her hands up defensively.] You must be mistaken!

[He doesn't mean to be creepy. Honestly.]

I'm good at keeping secrets. They're not mine to tell.

[He's kind of being creepy though. It's putting Usagi on edge a bit, at the very least.]

I..if you really know it's super important you don't tell! I don't want anyone to get hurt! [She clenches her fists in a vaguely playful, determined way. At the very least she doesn't have a reason to think this guy is bad.]

[His voice is quiet and heavy with the weight of the secret. He clearly understood.]

Th...thank you. [She feels a little guilty, to be honest.]

...Are you a psychic? How did you know? [The words are quiet, but not accusatory. She wants to understand.]

[A frown. That must be a lot for one person to deal with -- if they heard and felt everyone's hardships. It would take a strong set of shoulders to carry all of it. She feels guilty for a moment, for unintentionally sharing her own.]

I'm sorry. If it's a burden. [She smiles though, right at Cole.] But maybe I can help people here, at least... Until I get to go home.
