[If there's anything this freaking ship loves, it's food. Somehow, a dinner got planned to welcome the new member. And then other people got invited. And then the dinner pretty much turned into a party with a lot of food. Needless to say, Kairi has been very busy preparing food all the day for this.

There's a lot of meat, per the captain's request. But there's also veggies, some fruit, pasta, and even brownies! There are also two pizza pies. Basically, Kairi just cooked a bunch of food and hoped it would be enough, as she had no idea how many people were coming.

SO DIG IN, BLUE FISH AND GUESTS. Also mingle and be social and all that jazz!]

You visited a lot of other places like we're doing now, right? Which one was your favorite?

That'd probably be when I got to serve on a pirate's crew for a couple weeks.

You were a pirate?

[Not quite what she was expecting, but...she's interested.]

Just for a little while! We all woke up on pirate ships and were expected to run it. While avoiding the Navy too, since they were absolutely convinced we were legitimate pirates and rather brutal themselves.

It was hard work and dangerous, but it was fun looking back. There's nothing quite like feeling the sea's breeze while you're standing on top of a mast.

[The sea breeze is nothing new to Shirley, but the rest...well, there are many things on the Legacy but masts are not one of them.]

My friend used to work as a marine, so he would know how that feels better than I do. I'm sure it's a wonderful feeling, though.

Ah- Is that the same friend that gets overprotective? Or a different one?

But mm. It was. And we found this beautiful city too! They held a parade where everyone wore masks and served delicious food! And while I was there, a noblewoman let me stay in her manor- so that was nice too!

He's the same one. I've been with him longer than I have with my other friends, so I have the most stories about him.

[Allen's story sounds more interesting than her history with Senel though, so moving on!]

Were the people in that city having a festival? It sounds like fun.

Ha, nothing wrong with that! It's good to have an old friend.

[He gives a little nod]

Mm! It was some sort of masquerade festival- I forget why they held it. There were a lot of beautiful costumes though, people really went all out!

It sounds like Mor, from last month...although that wasn't entirely the same.

[What Allen experienced was probably authentic, for one.]

It was a bit like that...more advanced though, and less- tourist trap.

I wonder if we'll ever get to see something like it here. We'll probably be on our way to somewhere new soon, won't we?

Mm. We'll leave at the end of the month, if the pattern holds up. And perhaps we will. You never know on adventures like these.
