[If there's anything this freaking ship loves, it's food. Somehow, a dinner got planned to welcome the new member. And then other people got invited. And then the dinner pretty much turned into a party with a lot of food. Needless to say, Kairi has been very busy preparing food all the day for this.

There's a lot of meat, per the captain's request. But there's also veggies, some fruit, pasta, and even brownies! There are also two pizza pies. Basically, Kairi just cooked a bunch of food and hoped it would be enough, as she had no idea how many people were coming.

SO DIG IN, BLUE FISH AND GUESTS. Also mingle and be social and all that jazz!]

Then I don't mind if I do! [Using a napkin, as she doesn't want to dirty yet another plate, she selects one of the sweet breads to try.] You see, there are some species where I am from for whom it is considered vulgar to touch food with your hands. So I wanted to check first.

[She proceeds to take a bite. Her eyes light up as she chews and when she's finished she smiles.]

Oh! It reminds me of apple pie!

Vulgar? Why, they must be a people entirely without adventurers.

[ Because adventurers are hella vulgar when on the road, come on now. Who needs manners in the wilderness? ]

That would mean it's come out properly. I was almost worried with the facilities I had been left with which to work.

[Beverly chuckles.] Actually many of them were traveling the stars centuries before humans.

[She takes another bite of the pastry, barely catching a piece of apple that plops out and delicately placing it her mouth.]

I suppose you could argue I don't have any way to compare these to the ones you make at home, but I'd say they came out very well!

Simply traveling is not enough to make one fit for adventure, that much I am certain of.

Thank you. Perhaps at our next destination, I will have better opportunity to make something befitting of my friends' taste.
