[It sure is a lovely ~~day~~ actually pretty much indeterminate time period out here in the vast darkness of space, isn't it? I bet everyone's enjoying themselves, getting a chance to get off their dinky little ship and stretch their legs. Even on this shitty, empty little waystation.

Where are you, droot flooters? What are you up to? Stay out of trouble, now.]

[ooc: hi everyone! I thought I'd give this a try and see how the game liked it. What we have here is a mass mingle post. Rather than everyone making a bunch of different posts about landing on the station, everyone is invited to post a parent comment with their character out and about, doing something. Everyone else is invited to look at who's posted, tag them, post their own parent comments, thread jack, tag around and generally have a grand old time! It should hopefully be a nice low-pressure way to do some action tagging with each other.

Please tag in if you feel so inclined! Don't be shy to tag around!]

[They're nearing the end of their first day on the station! As... well, there's no way for night to fall... but around 6:00 terran time (which is being so helpfully kept on their communicators??), a message comes in:]

I assume both of you have looked over the supplies available. If both of you are amenable to it, I suggest we discuss how we should allocate our money so we get the most use out of it. Meet me at the ship in half an hour. Hange

[When the time comes, if both of them turn up... Hange is outside the ship, leaned against it, because she's reluctant to coop herself up again even for a brief meeting. She's whistling tunelessly to herself, the notes dropping like stones in the still air, looking thoughtful for the most part.]

[Nunnally arrives five minutes early. After getting the notice she made an effort not to buy anything, and was able to simply enjoy the courtyard instead. When she sees Hange from a distance she waves and smiles]

Hello. Did you have a good day? [pleasantries until they get started]

[Zhas will be, unhelpfully, a couple of minutes late. the girls have the floor for now.]

[That's fine. Hange will carry on good-naturedly with Nunnally.]

Yes, of course! I'm happy that we're somewhere with a bit more space to move, although it's nothing like our training grounds. [Homesick for her crapsack world? Maybe.] What did you do, Nunnally?

Yes! I think I saw you running at one point... [but she didn't want to bother her, she looked rather... intense]

I considered the shops, but spent most of my time in the courtyard. They're not real, but I enjoyed the trees.

We're sadly a little lacking in truly productive things to do, aren't we? Shopping can't take up all your time. Did you see any books?

There were some books, but they were quite... expensive, as if they were considered antiques rather than things to beused. The ro- [is it rude to call robots robots? she doesn't know] worker insisted that money must be offered before having a look.

Perhaps they're out of our range for the moment, then. I'd prefer to buy things where we could stretch our money a little further.

Yes. The things that we can afford are limited, but I think I have a good idea of some supplies that we could possibly obtain.

Let's not get too far into planning that before our third arrives... [If he does. If he doesn't come Hange's not sharing what she gets 8|] What did you like to do at home, Nunnally?

[christ this guy is quiet--unless you're listening for him, he just kind of appears behind them from inside the ship, ducking out the door.

and surprise surprise, he's not covered in face paint. he's got boring black scarf wrapped loose around his shoulders and hiding the lower half of his face--but he made it out without the skull or his huge black coat.

it also makes it way more obvious that there's a big gun at his hip but HEY GUYS HOW'S IT GOING.]

I didn't have a lot of free time, but when I could-- [she stops abruptly as she hears footsteps suddenly so close. She turns around and observes his chest area first, but when she looks up and sees the lack of paint she looks genuinely surprised. But then... as she realizes this is totally Zahs she smiles and rolls her chair back slightly, so it's like they're making a circle of people]

Oh, hello Zhas. [gun aside, its taking a moment to reconcile this new image with their original meeting]

[Hange doesn't react to the lack of facepaint except taking an extra second to eye him and make sure it is who it appears to be...

... but the physique and bone structure is the same, so after a second she beams.]

Look who it is!

[if the physique and bone structure don't do it, his softly-glowing eyes appear familiar after a moment or two out in the weird dark of space. he raises his arm in lazy, line-faced greeting.]

[haha, good enough. She's really happy that he came. In fact, this is the first time they're all together, isn't it? This entire experience has been strange, but Nunnally feels an odd sort of bubbling excitement like happiness in her chest. She glances back at Hange.]

Shall we head into the ship?

I suppose we might as well. We can sit at the table. [She pushes herself off the ship, but pauses and then waves Nunnally forward.]

[he gestures for Nunnally to go in first as well, past him. he scans the courtyard behind them out of habit, but he'll follow them once they're both in.]

[the motor whirs as she follows their lead. Almost in a whisper she glances over her shoulder at Zhas]

Did you have a good day?

[She traipses along, staying quiet to observe a little slice of how Zhas and Nunnally interact.]

[whatever someone said must have gotten to him, because he's playing nice. he doesn't really look at her, but he raises his hand to give a wobbly so-so motion.]

[good enough. Nunnally nods and looks forward while still chatting. She hopes he doesn't consider it rude, but she wants to make sure she doesn't bump into anything]

Yes... the station seemed quite empty, didn't it? It would have been nice if there was more to see. [that likely wasn't the problem he had with it, but still...]

I'm a little surprised. I'd have thought with our supposed audience, there's be some more extras around. [Oh look, they're here... because this ship isn't that big, end to end. Way too small for two powerful working dog personalities like Hange and Zhas to be honest. Hange goes ahead and takes a seat at the galley table, looking relaxed.]

[her question just makes him glance at Hange. The lack of people on the shuttle wasn't his problem...

he pulls a chair away from the table so that he can sit with his back to the wall, arms crossed. this is probably the first time anyone's seen him not standing. it's conveniently left a spot open for Nunnally's wheelchair, though.]

[:') she wonders if that was intentional... And hopes so as she rolls her chair right into the spot. Just in case, she looks back at him and smiles as thanks! :D Then she looks back towards Hange and nods, folding her hands in her lap]

Shall we get started?

Why don't we? I don't expect this to take very long. [Straight to the point, she is a military woman after all] What I'd like to do is pool the money we have available to buy some personal goods to share. If we work it out properly, we'll be able to buy more varied food to last us hopefully until our next waystation stopover, share it with each other, and still have some money left over for personal goods.
