[Lumière has never seen anything like this before in his life. When people ice-skate back home, it is on a frozen pond, this is...something else. The medals are weighty, but he can live with them, just as he can the spotlight. He's never one to shy away from attention, after all.

He can't really skate all that well without legs, but he'll give it a good go, sliding about on his brass base as best he can. Wee~]

[The crowd seems pleased. They start to clap and cheer. It's soft at first, just the sounds of encouragement really, but the more effort that Lumiere puts into the skating, louder their sounds of approval.]

[Well, Lumière always does love an audience. He grins, trying his best to put as much effort as he can into it, given...well, everything. He even manages a little jump or two.

Okay. This is a nice mind to be in, he can live with this. ]

[The crowd eats up the jumps more than anything. There's a lot of approval as they enjoy a good show of effort, even if this particular performance is new to Lumiere, the crowd seems to like that he's giving it his all more than anything. After the first one he'll notice around his 'neck' the medals are lighter and might even be possible to remove.]

[Well, fun as this is, he's absolutely going to try an get them off. Look, they're nice an all buddy, but they're kinda hampering his skinny-ass candelabra self. ]

[At first, only one comes off, but the more that Lumiere entertains the lighter the next one becomes, and soon he's down to the last one. The crowd - still so far away - applauds and goes wild for his performance.]

[He's glad when he's down to the last one, shulking that one off too. FREEDOM. He gives a little bow to the audience, before skating around, trying to find a way out. There has to be one somewhere, right? ]

[The crowd cheers and throws cute little stuffed animals (some which might actually be bigger than Lumiere honestly) to show their adoration. Off the side, there is a dog barking.

If Lumiere looks that direction he'll see a brown standard poodle on the edge of the rink, sitting next to an open gate that would lead off of the rink. Otherwise, he's free to check the gifts that the crowd is tossing at him.]

[Aw it's a dog. Lumière is absolutely more interested in the gifts first, though. He's got to check these out. ]

[Makkachin's tail wags and he's able to make it to the edge of the rink until he's able to follow her out of it.

If he crosses that path, he'll find himself in a Japanese inn. While the rink had been dark and cold, this place is warm, filled with love, and there is laughter coming from somewhere deeper in the inn.]

[Lumière will absolutely head in that direction. He smiles a little, glancing around. This is a nice place- he's never travelled to Japan, so he doesn't recognise where he is, but what matters is it feels like a good place. That's the most important thing to take from it.

He heads off towards the laughter, drawn to it like a moth to...well. ]

[When he gets to that room, it's a smaller room with a Japanese family table and comfortable looking cushions, and Victor sitting there. He looks up and raises a glass to Lumiere.]

You did it! Congratulations!

[He seems a little tipsy but very happy.]

[This is a nice place. A far cry from the aristocratic French formality he's used to back home, but nice. Homely. He smiles, hopping over. ]

I am still not sure exactly what I did, mon chou, but it is good to see you all the same.

I'm not sure either, if I'm honest.

Strange. I dedicated my whole life to pleasing the crowds around an ice rink, and now all I think of when I think of home is this place... [He looks around them, a pleased little smile on his face.]

[Lumière glances around again, his smile softening a touch. ]

I can see why, it is very peaceful. Very homely. Is this where you live?

It's where I lived for a year while Yuri was training. This is his family's inn. It's an onsen. That means there's a hot spring.

Right now, we're living in Saint Petersburg but I love this place. His family made me feel very welcome. They let me use the hot spring whenever I wanted, and his mother is such a good cook.

[A pause] I wish I could take you to the real one. I think you'd like it. And you should see Japan...

Ah, I would love to be able to travel- to see the world. Though, I admit, my place is in the castle, to take care of my Master. Until I know he can take care of himself, I will remain at his side.
