[sleeping Pearl kinda looks dead. If anything, it's probably because she's not moving at all. Or breathing, for that matter. And when she regains consciousness, it's all at once. No gradual waking up for her.

In fact, as soon as her eyes pop open, she's scrambling out of the bed, getting tangled in the bedsheets, and falling onto the floor right onto her face with a loud thud.

A hissing intake of breath, and then Pearl is turning around and staring in surprise at...the bed.]

Sleeping? But that's not...I've never -

[and then she finally sees the giant windows and more importantly, the fact that she's in space. Oh and also that she's probably been kidnapped or something like that.

GARNET! AMETHYST!!!

[and she's tearing off the bedsheets and scrambling to her feet. Don't hyperventilate. Stay calm. Don't freak out. This doesn't look like Gem based technology. Then again, she barely knows what modern Gem technology looks like. But, but it could also be some completely unknown alien species who had somehow kidnapped her and taken her hostage and of which she knows absolutely nothing about!!

[Jennifer hears the yelling over her communicator and smiles at the newcomer. It's pretty easy to panic on first arriving, she knows.]

What a rude awakening, I know. Welcome.

[Pearl whirls around at the new voice and. Well, then.

She's picking up the communicator and that's an extreme close up of her eye before the picture settles at a more comfortable distance.

[Ah. This is, in all likelihood, one of those Gems Steven keeps talking about. Possibly. Thsoe other names ring a bell from the child's constant babbling. ]

If you are speaking of Steven Universe, he is fine. He's aboard the First Breath. No doubt he will contact you as soon as he sees this.

[the helpful comments and the lack of hostilities are really starting to throw her off. This doesn't usually happen when she gets taken prisoner.

Pearl finally loses some of that panicked expression.] Oh, thank goodness. I was afraid that -

He's on another ship? [she's already looking around distractedly, as if hoping Steven was hiding under a cot or something]

Hm. You are currently on the Marsiva. It is the...mother ship? I think that is the term they use.

In a few days, Atroma will put you onto another ship, and that is when you will be able to be with Steven. Until then, I am afraid you are stuck there.

[Alex yawns and blinks at the communicator screen. Her bedhead is fantastic.]

I'm not panicking! [a deep breath as she tries to pretend to be calm. She's hugging herself a bit, though.] Nobody is panicking!

[looking at you and finally taking stock - from that bedhead to that complete calm (or tiredness).] Is this normal? [loud, panicky people, at any rate]

[Alex watches her with one raised eyebrow. She's not strange-looking enough to warrant a snide comment, but Alex is definitely pegging this one as non-human. Non-human and high anxiety.]

Every couple of days someone new gets dropped in here. It's usually the same deal.

[ Yosuke's still in the Marsiva, too - been here for two days already. Guhh. So he hears he commotion, and the first thing he does is make his way over. ]

Hey-- whoa. Are you okay? Are you hurt?

Wait. Pearl scrambles to her feet, seemingly none the worse for the wear.] Did they capture you as well?

[surely humans aren't actually capable of such technologies. And also being able to kidnap her.]

[Julian is on the Marsiva. Right now, he's sitting by the massive windows, looking out into space. His arms are wrapped around himself and he looks slightly pained by something as he watches the void, and the other ship that they are near.]

[here's Pearl, pressing her face against the window. She's either trying to figure out which one of those ships is the First Breath OR she's trying to see if she can recognize any of the star systems. The latter is a long shot, but still.

And...is this another human? There sure are a lot of them...] Do you know where we are?

[Pearl finally pulls the sheet off of her and peers closely at the communicator.]

Yes, Steven Universe! [she seems to have shrugged off that fall pretty easily. Or at least deems information on Steven to be more important.

...Huh.] Are you one of his friends? [wow, that kid works fast, considering how they (most likely) just got kidnapped.]

It certainly doesn't look exciting. In fact, it just looks like you lay there, completely insensate, while anything can sneak up on you!

[Of course, the one jump he wakes up late is the one his friends come. Of course it is. By the time he wakes up that Saturday, there are dozens of messages pinging him, telling him to look on the network-- and god, he doesn't think his joy could be any greater. His heart leaps in his chest, and he fumbles with the buttons, so excited he can barely take it.]
