broadcast 01
Who: Natasha Romanoff and various guests
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Post-broadcast, abandoned waystation? Action prompt in comments
When: During bugfest 20XX
[On screen, there's a very calm redhead looking thoughtfully at the camera, one brow slightly cocked.]
It's occurred to me that the fleet has about ten times as many firearms as it does medical professionals. It's also been pretty apparent that a lot of our cast members don't know the basics of gun safety and use. If anyone wants to learn, I'll be at the following coordinates.
[The message ends with a bit of text, the location of one of the abandoned waystations in near orbit.]

atroma doesn't seem big on weapons they can't control. I wouldn't be surprised if they had remote access to all weapons they give us.
Whenever you'd like to stop by, I'll be here.

I never even thought of that. But they can mysteriously refill the food dispenser things so, I guess that's not too out of the question. Maybe I should warn Hawke.
Okay. I'll head over soon. If I don't finish prepping the steaks first I'll have a cranky captain to deal with later.
Re: Video
[She might be. Come surprise her, Kairi. She'll worry less about you.]
Hawke is your ship's security officer? And I'm guessing Sokka was the one in the cargo hold panicking about the crates of shampoo everywhere. [He had looked...unhappy. Very definitely unhappy. And possibly pissed.]
video
He is. And yeah, that was Sokka. He was... kind of in a bad place at the time. His girlfriend got sent home from the Fleet not long before that.

Might think he'd be happy to know she's not in the line of fire anymore. Home safe, supposedly.
I might panic, too, suddenly ending up with about forty industrial-size crates of shampoo in the hold of my ship, with no idea how they got there.

I guess so. Though I thought it was just kind of funny. But that might be why I'm not a captain. [She laughs sheepishly as she bends down to get her shoes on.]

Sense of humor's important, in an authority figure. I've known captains who could laugh at that sort of thing.
Guess I'm a little biased, though. My hair's going to look fantastic for at least the next six months.

[She snickers.]
Yours and mine both. And a lot of other people in the fleet. It's even brightened mine a little, which is nice. It's gotten a bit darker in the past year.

[She herself isn't really a team player, let alone a leader. Not the right sort of person for it, at all.]
Sometimes that happens as you get older. You might enjoy the brunette life, never know.
[It's almost teasing.]
no subject
Ugh, I hope that doesn't happen. I like my hair. [Point of vanity? Heck yes it is.]
