It's occurred to me that the fleet has about ten times as many firearms as it does medical professionals. It's also been pretty apparent that a lot of our cast members don't know the basics of gun safety and use. If anyone wants to learn, I'll be at the following coordinates.

[The message ends with a bit of text, the location of one of the abandoned waystations in near orbit.]

[For those of you who prefer to just show up rather than respond to the video, Natasha is in an empty gallery-like space on the waystation, several closed crates at her feet as she marks out a series of lines on the floor. This entire wing looks deserted and thoroughly looted, she doesn't think anyone will complain about a little vandalism.]

[Felix shows up though he isn't sure this is really that good of an idea. It's probably a terrible idea of him, actually, but he's tried for feeling so vulnerable. Back home, his vulnerability had contributed to his father's madness, who knew what it would do here?

That and he just wanted to see Natasha.]

[Mal shows up, because why would she not? Natasha's already teaching her everything else, it seems. Why not this? She hopes she's proven herself to be a willing student thus far and that Natasha won't question her presence too much.]

[Polly is actually pretty sure she can figure out how to use these guns. You point and shoot - it seems simple, or at least the principle is similar to the pistol horsebows she's already used to. But she also knows the importance of practice, on the off chance that it is different, because you don't want to find that out when the enemy's already rushing you.

So she shows up a bit later, with one of the guns taken from the armory.]

[Combat practice? She is so there. Wrath is painfully aware of the facts that a) she is in no shape for close combat and b) every year she only barely made the minimum score with a dmr to stay on active duty. So she better get up to speed quick. Somehow.

We never had ones for human use, and while I know how to hold and clean them, have not had a place to .. test that knowledge.

[ Claudia is among those who comes to learn. She knows the basics, but only the very basics since honestly she doesn't want to use firearms. She was very happy with her Tesla... so of course she doesn't have it in outerspace and hasn't found adequate tech to make another one. It's time to really learn to shoot.

Not yet, as far as I know, but I'd rather be proactive about it. No reason to wait until someone loses a foot.

... You use guns? [it's kind of unusual. chie has a friend who fights with a gun, but it's mostly used in summoning her persona. outside of that, guns are not commonplace in Inaba.]

Actually, it's an energy projectile, as far as I can tell. But the basic result is more or less the same.

[The woman on the communicator's screen was very familiar to Wanda. At first, she was surprised that she had not realized sooner that Agent Romanoff was in the Fleet. But then again, that was the Black Widow's specialty wasn't it? Spy work, stealth. Wanda clicks her feed on, looking calm but also discernibly glad to see a face she recognized. Internally, however, Wanda's still a little unsure of what to expect from the Black Widow. Would she be happy to see Wanda? Would she be upset? Would Wanda even be able to tell without resorting to mind-reading? The answer to that last question was certainly more obvious than the other two.]

Black Wi- [She stops, corrects herself. Perhaps using a less formal moniker would be best? Though, it still felt awkward to say.] Agent Romanoff? Is that you?

[She doesn't recognize the woman on her screen. Funny, because the other woman seems to recognize her just fine. It's an event that's getting to be practically commonplace, and that makes her like it even less. She feels exposed. Too many damn people knowing who she is, or thinking they do. There's a brief flicker of something on her face--irritation? Reservation? It's not exactly pleased, but it passes and her face returns to its neutral state.]

It might be. Depending on whom exactly you think Agent Romanoff is.

[She's getting real tired of people mistaking her for someone else.]

[This tiny, polite blonde girl doesn't seem like the type to be all that interested in guns. But she's exactly the sort that Natasha is reaching out to in this broadcast, isn't she? The kind who seems to need some sort of protection. Finally, Natasha nods.]

It was an open invitation for anyone who wants to learn more. I might not be able to answer much specifically about the how, but I can show you how to safely use them.

I doubt it. These things are so simple, even the children aren't having much trouble with them. Maybe you'll be a special case, though.
