[It's been nearly a week since the fleet's said their goodbyes to the planet full of skull face folks, and another Shuffle has come and gone. Despite what was mentioned on the last week's Shuffle about cannibalism, it doesn't seem like any crews has resorted to that, so maybe some of you have begun to relax.]

[Or maybe not. In fact, maybe you should do a crew headcount just in case1.]

[By now, some of you who handled any red stones from the planet natives may be feeling under the weather or even downright shitty. But hey! What's that to stop you from visiting the way-stations? These way-stations may be in the same crappy condition as the last way-stations - but at least they're people on these ones! Really...shady looking people! But that's not about to stop you from making friends right2?]

[Essentially, this is a game wide mingle post for this week's shuffle, November's way-stations anyone getting ill, or anything else you want to do but too lazy to make a post about! Please feel free to tag in and tag around! Just make sure to put your characters' location and communication methods (action/network) in the header and/or in the prompts!]

[Kaneis watches the scavengers go, smirking a little. He'd be tempted to use some earth magic to trip them up- but eh, it'd probably not be good to risk a hull breach in this thing.]

[Instead he'll walk over to Riku to check on him]

[ but he says that as he tries to move his wrist--of course it doesn't, it's still broken, but damn...

he moves his concern to his upper arms. those ache. definitely bruises. ]

They don't mess around.

Yeah, thugs like that hardly ever do.

[He notices the bruises. and oh right- his arm. He remembered having to fix that once.]

Want me to heal up those bruises or you want them to get tough cred with your crew?

[limitstorm]

[ he flushes, embarrassed. ]

Ha, ha. [ ... sigh. ] Usually I could just heal myself, but I can't use that magic, either...

How easy is it for you?

Wow. You really got shortchanged with your powers here, huh.

[He gives a little shrug]

Pretty easy. It's just bruises, so it doesn't require that much energy.

[limitstorm]

No kidding. I'm not useful at all.

[ he sighs, scratching the back of his head. ]

Probably would help to keep anyone from asking.

You could always cook! That's always useful.

Heh, good thinking. [He'll concentrate on the magic, and the area starts to glow white around him-]

[Only to be interrupted when he sneezes]

[He sniffs some, looking grumpy]

Yeah, yeah- it's just a stupid cold. I'll be fine. Gimme a moment and I'll try again.

[limitstorm]

What? When'd you get a cold, back on that other planet?

[ completely forgot about his bruises. ]

[wilder]

I dunno, could've been - or from one of these stations. It just popped up this week.

It's a nuisance either way.

[limitstorm]

[ ffffrown. ]

Really... sorry.

[ he pulls at his neck, looking away. ] I guess I could put some soup to cook. Robin was feeling kind of weird, too.

[wilder]

Yeah? Must be something going around.

[He sneezes again]

Soup would be good though. This damn thing's been making me pretty hungry.

[limitstorm]

Usually I'm the first one sick if something's catching...

[ which is really weird. ]

What, aren't you usually hungry? Or are you one of those people who can survive off of air and willpower?

Maybe you got lucky this time. Or it's waiting for your guard to go down. Whatever.

[As for that other remark? He's gonna snark and give a non-answer]

I tried alcohol a few days ago... not sure how anyone could drink that every day.

You mean on the planet?

[he makes a pft noise] Trust me, no one should be drinking that stuff every day. Their alcohol was so bad, it was essentially glorified kerosene.

You mean there's better stuff?

[ you know, riku avoided being an alcoholic in exsilium because ros didn't allow him to drink. this is not being enforced here. ]

[It's okay Riku he'll make sure you're only allowed the amount that'd fit into a sippy cup]

[ and HEY RUDE he is totally not a lightweight yes he is don't let him have sweet drinks or he'll get smashed ]

I know, but you really sounded like one there.

[NOPE SIPPY CUP FOR YOU. But at the mention of his world, it seems to remind him of something.]

[He doesn't mention what it is, but he glances over his shoulder briefly before looking back at Riku]

Yeah...other places too I'm sure.

[ ... riku tilts his head slightly before frowning, looking behind him, and then looking behind himself. ]

What's up?

[wilder]

[Oh- right. That was not subtle. So he'll just shake his head and shrug it off]

It's nothing.

[And he'll offer him a grin as he moves on to another subject]

So, want me to try again? I'll try to hold in any sneezing this time.

you know what, he doesn't accept that. riku isn't usually so nosy, he doesn't pry into people's lives, he usually leaves well enough alone, but he knows that rebuff. he knows it way too well, he uses it, and he's not going to let kaneis do the same thing he does. he knows it's not healthy. ]
