[How's your ship doing, pardners? Is it still pretty damaged? Is it glitching out hardcore? Well, there is one place to land to take care of all that, and that's on a dusty old moon in front of a planet that no one wants to go to. On this moon, you'll find a civilization that looks a lot like one's stepped into a wild west movie, hardened cowpolk and mutant horses and all. Will you become a vigilante, hunting bounties and stopping gangs from doing their dirty work? Will you go exploring planetside, with a cowboy hat and a stalk of wheat in your mouth to complete the look? Good luck with that; there is no wheat. This town ain't big enough for all you flooters, but make it so! For the ratings!

In a place like this? I don't even know where to begin. [ A small, thoughtful pause. ] Do they have epic shoot-outs here? [ Yes, Max is the kind of teenager to use the term "epic" unironically. Also, that's probably not the kind of information you'd ask about. ]

Ah...I rather hope not. An "Epic" shoot out is actually a lot more deadly than what movies show.

But on the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me, I suppose.

[ Ahahaaa, yeah. Max should really know better, since she's seen what guns can do. ]

Yeah, guns in real life are actually kind of... super scary. A kid in my school brought one in once, waved it around. That freaked me out. [ Not mentioned: she was right there, and it also involved her friend being shot. ]

He brought a gun to school? [Allen never really went to school, but that seems...extreme] That's worrying, why would he do that?

Because he's the kind of person that thinks he's above the rules, or the law. [ And, uh, kind of is, thanks to his dad. But she's not about to get into the nitty-gritty of Arcadia Bay. ]

I think he wanted to threaten somebody. You know, all "You have to listen to me, or else you'll face the consequences!" [ She makes an over-exaggerated motion like she's drawing a gun along with her really bad Nathan Prescott impression, but- ]

[ -it's a bit too over-exaggerated, and she ends up knocking over a mug of something probably alcoholic that was on the bar next to her.

And right into the lap of the big, burly guy who was drinking it. ] Oh, shit!

[ He doesn't look happy, either. Shit. ]

[He was about to make a remark about Nathan, but whatever it was it gets lost when Max knocks over that guy's drink. Crap. He looks really big and mean too.]

[So Allen immediately jumps his feet to try to help]

Ah- sorry sir about that! [He turns to look if the barkeep is anywhere near] Are there any towels here-!?

[ Even with Max and Allen apologizing, the dude is getting up. Angrily.

Max gets a "Frank" vibe from him - except that he's bigger. And maybe even meaner, if that's possible. There's no way this would end well. ]

[ So Max holds out a hand. And rewinds time.

In backwards motion, the guy sits back down. The drink unspills itself, and the mug lands back on the bar. ]

[ Max lets out a sigh of relief. Once again, saved by her freaky powers. Then she turns back to Allen, waiting for a cue to see where in the conversation she had rewound to. ]

[Yeah, the drunk definitely looked like he wasn't interested in apologies. Allen kept trying to anyway, but at the same time trying to step between the drunk and Max in case he needed to protect her from a fight. Because no offense Max, you don't exactly strike him as a fighter]

Sir, it was an an accident there's no need to-

[AND THEN SUDDENLY? Everything gets kinda weird looking and people start moving backwards?! Allen's frozen in surprise, just trying to make sense of WHAT'S going on as that drink suddenly lands back on the bar- especially as he doesn't notice Max holding up her hand, or that the green glow on his left hand has gotten bright enough to be seen through the glove.]

[And then as soon as it's started, it's over with the drunk back in his seat drinking his not-spilled liquor. Meanwhile Allen is still very much standing and VERY CONFUSED at everything]

EH?!?!

[timelapsed]

[ Okay, Max doesn't remember Allen doing that. Also, why is Allen still standing? He should be sitting, too. He didn't get up until the drink was spilled, and the drink is most definitely not spilled.

What could possibly-

Oh. ]

[Allen hears Max saying that, and of course- it pinpoints exactly who he should be wtfing at. And so he turns to look at her]

Max?! What just happened?!

[Look okay so this isn't his first time dealing with time warping BUT HEY GIVE HIM A BREAK ITS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE LAST TIME]

[ It's fine, because Max is freaking out, too. Except Max is freaking out about Allen. And hey, they might be causing a scene, but at least that tough guy doesn't want to kill them. ]

Look, you're not supposed to... to come back with me!

You mean you caused that? Intentionally??

[...O-Oh, great. She's freaking out, he's kinda freaked out. This is a whole bunch of freaked out emotions here. He takes a second to breath before he speaks again. Right, okay Allen, you're an Exorcist, you can figure this out.]
