[How's your ship doing, pardners? Is it still pretty damaged? Is it glitching out hardcore? Well, there is one place to land to take care of all that, and that's on a dusty old moon in front of a planet that no one wants to go to. On this moon, you'll find a civilization that looks a lot like one's stepped into a wild west movie, hardened cowpolk and mutant horses and all. Will you become a vigilante, hunting bounties and stopping gangs from doing their dirty work? Will you go exploring planetside, with a cowboy hat and a stalk of wheat in your mouth to complete the look? Good luck with that; there is no wheat. This town ain't big enough for all you flooters, but make it so! For the ratings!

Absolutely! There's actually a guy here on the Fleet who's survived not once, but twice against 'em. [He points to both sides of his head where Caesar typically wears his feather accessories.] Wears their feathers from the ones he's killed in a fight and everything. I didn't see the first one, but I saw the second one and...

[Joseph shakes his head like he'll never get the images out of his head so long as he lives.]

Anyway, he goes by the name of Caesar. But who knows if that's really his name. He's a real mysterious guy and doesn't talk too much. You can bet though, any chicken comes around where he is, he'll put it down.

[Woooow. She's gonna have to keep an eye out for that guy.]

Caesar... Caesar, okay! If he could survive twice against them... [And wear their feathers as trophies!!!] He's gotta be so awesome!

And... [She claps her hands together, standing a little straighter.] And that means he's probably nearby, right? He's gotta know where those chickens went!

I bet he's hunting them down right now. He won't rest until they're taken care of and the town can sleep safe at night. That's just the sort of person he is.

[He's also the sort of person to be completely exasperated when this makes its way back to him, but Joseph will live without any regrets, dammit.]

[She can't wait to meet him and ask him about... his legend.]

So he's not just awesome. He's like a hero, huh? A chicken hero... [A pause.] That sounds so weird!

Just don't tell him that. He gets pretty sensitive about it. I don't know his history, so I couldn't say why, but definitely don't make the same mistake I did and make light of it.

He's a good guy to follow though.

[She breathes out a sigh, crossing her arms.] Yeah, I guess that makes sense. It doesn't matter if it sounds weird to us... It's totally dangerous for him!

Jojo. [A pause and she nods. Not a nickname she's heard before, but what does she know] Great! I'm Leanne.

It's nice to meet you, Leanne. Which ship are you with?

The SS Heron! [And clearly very happy with it.] Now tell me yours.

[Joseph grins crookedly.]

Only the best ship in the entire fleet, the SS Caprine.

The best? [She huffs out a laugh, shakes her head.] I don't think so.

But I guess you can think that, if you want.

I don't think that, I know it. I wouldn't expect you to though, you've obviously never been on board with us.

Hey! How many times have you been on the Heron?

I don't need to when I've got it as good as I do on the Caprine.

That doesn't even mean anything! Not if you wanna compare them!

Sure it does. But you know if you really want to compare, you're totally welcome to come onto the Caprine and see how good it is for yourself. I can guarantee you that you'll want to transfer after just five minutes.
