[How's your ship doing, pardners? Is it still pretty damaged? Is it glitching out hardcore? Well, there is one place to land to take care of all that, and that's on a dusty old moon in front of a planet that no one wants to go to. On this moon, you'll find a civilization that looks a lot like one's stepped into a wild west movie, hardened cowpolk and mutant horses and all. Will you become a vigilante, hunting bounties and stopping gangs from doing their dirty work? Will you go exploring planetside, with a cowboy hat and a stalk of wheat in your mouth to complete the look? Good luck with that; there is no wheat. This town ain't big enough for all you flooters, but make it so! For the ratings!

[Laughter pulls a grin out of him, bright and encouraged.]

Don't be ridiculous. Everyone should have another.

[That's dangerously close to "a round for the whole bar on me." He waves his hand at the tankard the bartender sets down.]

There, you see, that one's for you. Don't make me drink it, that would just be depressing.

Yeah, I suppose drinking on your own isn't a good thing! [Vash grins cheekily at the bartender and waves at him not to leave just yet.] That means you should have another with me!

[unconfines]

Well! Certainly can't argue with that logic, can I? [He leans both elbows on the bar, motioning for the bartender to pour another.] Give me another of whatever he's having.

[He waves the glass in Vash's direction as soon as he has it.]

[Vash holds up his drink and gives it a clink against Anders's glass once the bartender hands it over.] Cheers!

[With that he tips the glass back and drinks until the whole thing is gone. Slamming the glass down with a sigh as he gasps a bit for air.] Ahh! That's the stuff! I'm sure glad I ran into you tonight!

Music to my ears! I'm the best kind of helper you'll find, my friend.

[He reaches up with his free hand to tug on the tie, because it's there and because he can, mostly.]

Now, tell me more about this. A gift, or should I be keeping a close eye on my accessories?

[goldenglasses]

[Vash laughs, as he nearly falls over at the light tugging on the tie.] Umm... I think I found it behind the bar? [He thinks he did.]

Of all the things to pick up behind the bar, that's what you decided to reach for? [Anders clucks his tongue, and waves away the bartender giving them the stinkeye.] Oh, mind your own business, it suits him better anyhow.

Yeah! And I didn't even take the whiskey! It was s-sitting right there! Of course when I have good friends like THIS guy! [Vash throws his arm around Anders neck to give him a 'manly' squeeze.] Who needs to steal! W-what brought you into the bar tonight any-anyway, brother?

[Anders hardly minds. If anything, he seems proud to have been a good influence.]

Sometimes a man just needs the opportunity to get absolutely sloshed! You can understand that, yes? You seem like a man of the world.

[goldenglasses]

Yeah, I think I can get that! I am a man of a world, and another world, and several other worlds by now! Now that's something I didn't think I'd ever be able to say!

Suppose that applies to all of us by now, doesn't it? [He hums, considering, leaning one elbow on the bar.] I don't think I can even remember the names of all of them, to be honest.

[goldenglasses]

[Vash stops his drinking and starts counting off on his fingers with ease. One by one listing each planet and star system the fleet has visited since the start.] And now we're here! Waypoint EA009!

[He huffs a bit of incredulous laughter.]

Which is it, impressive memory, or far too much interest in the great black depths of space?

I've just always been really good with names. Also I'm a pilot. [He gestures at his augment.] So I thought trying to keep a map of where we've been might come in handy if we ever spot something we know.

[Also, an impressive memory.]

That's... actually not a terrible idea. [By which he means it's a good idea, but his already questionably-present filter is suspended for the evening.] Any chance you've a copy of that I could pass along to our pilot?

Sure, I could do that. It shouldn't be a problem. Which ship should I send it to?

[unconfines]

That would be the Golden. If we're lucky, our pilot may even know what to do with it!

You never know. I mean, I know space is big, but if we keep floating around and with all these different people from different worlds, we have to run into something familiar to someone eventually.
