[How's your ship doing, pardners? Is it still pretty damaged? Is it glitching out hardcore? Well, there is one place to land to take care of all that, and that's on a dusty old moon in front of a planet that no one wants to go to. On this moon, you'll find a civilization that looks a lot like one's stepped into a wild west movie, hardened cowpolk and mutant horses and all. Will you become a vigilante, hunting bounties and stopping gangs from doing their dirty work? Will you go exploring planetside, with a cowboy hat and a stalk of wheat in your mouth to complete the look? Good luck with that; there is no wheat. This town ain't big enough for all you flooters, but make it so! For the ratings!

[Vash the Stampede. The most helpful of helpfulness. He just shrugs at getting shot down as he shuffles the deck again.] Oh fine. If I have to use my own crappy luck. [He starts dealing out the cards again. Leaving Kirito out of the deal.] Okay, guys, get your bets in!

[In other words. Vash is actually attempting to help now by distracting the group and secretly ready to trip anyone who tries to chase after Kirito.]

[huaaaaagh]

[Huh... that's unexpected. He blinks in surprise at Vash, then hastily takes advantage of the distraction, stuffing his outfit pockets with the winnings. He steps back, offering the table a cheery wave-and-smile combo, then dashes out the tavern door, turning the corner and getting out of sight immediately.

Thanks, buddy! You're not so horrible after all.]

[Vash plays a couple more hands then also leaves. Not making as much, but not leaving less than what he started with. He didn't really want to be in a seedy bar too much with a fresh bounty on his head. He may wander a bit with an eye out for his new friend, but not expecting to find her.]

[huaaaaagh]

[Kirito may be a bit of a cheat, and he'd accomplished his goal, but he's not a terrible person. He'd hung around outside the bar, tucked away in the shadows to keep out of view, but he hadn't left the vicinity of the bar.

Once Vash comes out, he steps away from the dark a bit, calling out quietly.]

No problems in there?

[Vash is actually a bit surprised to see that Kirito waited for him. He thought he had laid the flirting on thick enough to scare most away. He grins and falls right into step.] Nope! All is fair in love and poker! You win some, you lose some! They're all a bit sore, but not out looking for blood to replace their lost cash.

[huaaaaagh]

[Definitely thick, but not scary, either. Kirito looks him up and down, and he's not injured, so hey, apparently it was fine. Now he can erase any semblance of guilt he might have been feeling. (It wasn't much, but you know.)]

Right, then. Here's your cut.

[He withdraws his hand from a pocket, holding out a folded bundle of bills. It's probably about fifteen percent of his total earnings- he's not that generous, and he never asked for help, but the guy did probably make a difference. He'd rather not walk away and give him nothing for the trouble.]

Huh? [Vash takes the money and blinks. Completely not expecting a cut at all, not that he has any intention of giving it back as he laughs and pockets the bills. A cute girl, some fun poker, not getting ditched, and some extra cash. Not too bad a night, really.] Thanks! We should find another saloon to celebrate in.

Celebrate, or gamble more?

[Because he is totally down to pull this trick a few more times. Look at the cash they're raking in!]

Only if you're not paying attention.

[It's not really cheating if you notice the state of the game at crucial moments, right? At least, it's not illegal...]

Alright- but no trouble. Right? [He really doesn't want his bounty to get higher if he can avoid it.]

[Kirito just smiles. He's not going to promise that, dude.]

I'll leave it up to you.

Then we have nothing to fear! I'm Mr. No-Trouble! You can count on that!

If you say so.

[He says, in a voice that is vaguely doubtful. If this guy is so No-Trouble, why is he always so concerned about causing it?]

[Because Vash is a liar and a trouble maker!

Although as long as no one realizes he has a bounty or anyone picks up on the cheating then there shouldn't be anymore trouble that night!]
