When We're Rollin Through the Wild Wild West

Who: Everyone! EVERYONE!
Broadcast: IF YOU WANNA
Action: Everywhere! EVERYWHERE!
When: Mid-September - Mid-October

[How's your ship doing, pardners? Is it still pretty damaged? Is it glitching out hardcore? Well, there is one place to land to take care of all that, and that's on a dusty old moon in front of a planet that no one wants to go to. On this moon, you'll find a civilization that looks a lot like one's stepped into a wild west movie, hardened cowpolk and mutant horses and all. Will you become a vigilante, hunting bounties and stopping gangs from doing their dirty work? Will you go exploring planetside, with a cowboy hat and a stalk of wheat in your mouth to complete the look? Good luck with that; there is no wheat. This town ain't big enough for all you flooters, but make it so! For the ratings!

In other words, it's a planet mingle! Get 'er done!]

Not... really? I mean, as you level up, you get the same spells. With some extra spells from spellbooks, if you can manage them. You level up, you learn a new spell.

Interesting. In my world, you're limited in spells by your race, and it can be really difficult to learn spells that fall outside of your territory's specialization.

... Weird. The only bearing race has on magic at home is that merfolk can't use it. Not that they need to.

What do you mean, 'territory'?
huaaaaagh: ([ggo] what could I call it?)

The world is split into multiple areas, and each race has its own area- it's known as their territory. So if you're from the Sylph region, your natural element is wind, and learning fire magic would be tricky.

... Restricted elemental use by the area...? How would that work? Aspected mana streams local to each region, maybe... But unless people are bathing in them, that shouldn't affect people. In the first place, how would you even get an aspected stream? But a singular aspect pool shouldn't be able to be able to influence an entire region...

[he can't help listening for a bit, curious at what she might theorize. After a moment, though, he cuts in with a smile.]

Sorry, I don't have a good explanation for you. It's part of the nature of the world. Maybe it's to keep things more balanced? It would be bad if one race became really overpowered.
